Rb25Det: How Long Is The Oil Dip Stick Tube!?!?
getslideways replied to getslideways's topic in General Maintenance
do you happen to have a part #? im in the states and the dealers here cant look up anything about the RB motors unfortunately. -
So the shop i had do the motor lost the dip stick tube for my RB25DET. I cant find any online and i can make my self one if needed but it would help me if someone had one laying around they could measure because i have to much money invested in this motor to leave it to a guessing game lol. Unless someone knows of a tube that i can get off a KA or something similar that works. Thanks in advance. I tried these guys: http://www.nissanparts.cc/catalog/?section=1083#4414 But they dont have any in stock and wont get any for awhile as in months!!

So as the title says i am wondering if anyone knows or has a crankshaft laying around that they could mic for me. Basically im trying to buy rod and main bearings but i want to make sure i dont need anything other then standard ones. When i had the my shop mic mine, it showed like 1.887 for the rods and i think it was 2.5 something for the main. These aren't in millimeters yet. But when i look at the skyline service manual it only shows specs for the RB26 not RB25 and when i convert it i think it came to like 47.2mm. Is this the standard? Any help is great. If you need more info i can try and get it for you. Thanks!!

So i am rebuilding my RB25DET motor. I have to because once i took the head off i found a blown piston that scratched the cylinder wall. I am getting it bored out to 87mm and using Wiseco Pistons. But i am replacing the Main bearings and Rod bearings as well and no machine work has to be done to these items but when i look up bearings i get either a "0" option or "1" or "2" as in size. I am assuming the "0" is standard and probably the one i want but on the site i was going to get them off of says "1" is more of the universal size to get. I need HELP!!! I am getting the Cosworth bearings. Thanks In advance!! Link to the site: http://thmotorsports...0002729-05-2000

So as the title states, I have a R34 RB25DE NEO motor i have been building for about 8 months now. I just recently was able to start it and ran it in my driveway for about 5-10 min. then it started smoking white smoke really bad. I just changed the oil and this was the first start up of the motor. It idled great actually to my surprise but when i checked the oil it was as white as milk!! so i did a compression test and sure enough the 5th cylinder was dead. I am running a turbo on this car so i want to get a thicker gasket to drop the compression but now i just don't know who to go with. Do i get a Cometic one or Tomei or cosworth or what. Any help would be great!! Thanks in advance!!

What Intake Manifold Is This Off Of?

That's what i thought. I was in a argument with some guy trying to tell me it wasn't. And ya i have googled a lot and i could never find a pic with a stock set up. they always had the Greddy manifold on or the stock one wasn't the same. -
So im from the states and i put a RB25DET NEO Series II into my S13. I had to go with the greddy intake because i have a top mount turbo set up and my manifold ran right into the turbo. I have been looking up intake manifolds to trying figure out how much to sell it for and when i do the pics of the ones online dont look like the one i have. So i'm wondering if it really is a NEO DET or did someone put this on the motor at some point in its life. it did bolt up correctly no issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!!

Greddy Manifold And Neo Injectors... What To Do?
getslideways replied to getslideways's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Do you have any pics? If so it would be greatly appreciated! Also what did you end up using for injector o-rings/sealing rings? Thanks! I made a bracket to relocate and space the NEO fuel rail and injectors that seems like it will work (still curious to see yours) but now need to make a good seal between the NEO injectors and the inside the intake manifold injector bung somehow, since there seems to be some slop and not air tight thanks! -
Hi I am new to the site, and am currently working on a S13 240sx with an RB25 R34 NEO engine swap. Due to my turbo placement and intercooler piping setup i bought a Greddy "style" intake manifold. My question is what have others done to use the NEO's top feed style injectors with the Greddy style manifold. I made a bracket to physically relocate the fuel rail but there is considerable slop between the injector and the injector bung walls on the manifold. Looking for some ideas as to what others have done to make this combination work OR.... Are there any cheap alternatives in terms of fuel rails or easy to source stock injectors from other models that may fit (keeping budget friendly in mind haha) I am in the states so r33 injectors and fuel rails dont pop up too often for sale. Thank you! I have spent a lot of time searching for the answer but not a specific solution other than many people buying new rails and aftermarket injectors. Thanks!!
