  1. Thanks a lot for the info mate, really keen on getting rid of it...its caused me nothing but annoyance Especially when my car decides to lose traction at high speeds and the hicas makes it difficult to correct from oversteering the back more than needed, its honestly unsafe from my point of view Sounds all easy enough to deal with so as soon as my new turbos fitted and the cars back in running order ill get straight onto it...ill be sure to give the neighbors cat a scare too Thanks again, Brock
  2. 34sharker

    This and that

  3. Would plainly like to know how to successfully lock/delete my hicas completely and properly as im hoping to do it soon before i get my car back on the road...any answer from experience etc would be sweet, Cheers guys
  4. I can understand where everyone is coming from and the topic did drift off a bit there..i was sounding a bit high and mighty with the shit ive said yeah ive done a fair bit of dumb shit but never in the plain sight of the public, i dont know if i read your posts wrong dude but from the way i saw it was you saying your an elite driver and whatever i just dont take show ponying real well but if im wrong to accuse you of something you meant in a completely different way i apologize, i just hate everyone getting the wrong impression on skyline drivers being the owner of a tidy 34 i dont really get shit all that much although i will get onto some storys soon but for some reason its always the 33 owners copping shit which i dont understand...first story was when i was with my friend in his 33, its actually a very nice car and driving through smaller towns all we got was bad looks, even abused by a lady at a servo saying idiots like us driving those souped up poofter boy cars arent welcome around here if were going to do 'squealys'...which we both found hilarious as we coasted into the servo doing about 5km/h, filled up and left, in the city in my own 34 ive had really good and really bad comments...the good ones being from people who arent bias to them and can respect something nice...worst and funniest ive ever had was sitting at the gold coast sitting on the lights driving through surfers paradise after noticing a couple of guys close to me in a vl turbo the whole time i couldnt really hear a nice exhaust note or spool..just a whole lot of bov, he pulled up and looked kind of smug next to me and his mates like straight away race us at the next lights bro my boys car is turbo, i replied yeah i could tell he likes to let that blow off valve off a fair bit...he said yeah it sounds sick hey, i was like not really my thing it shouldnt be sounding like a washing machine at like 5psi then hes like what are you even talking about, laughing to myself the light went green and he kept next to me yelling to spin the wheels, i tried to ignore them but didnt want to speed off and give them the satisfation...pulled up at the next lights and he was continuing to rev the car and came out with come on bro we will give you a head start cause yours only has one of those shitty nissan engines in it, i laughed and looked at him and said...oh really, didnt know they were that bad, whats yours got in it? He replied with holden power brother..all the way, so i said oh right so thats definitely not nissans RB30 which has the same block that im running race prepped on MY 'shitty' nissan engine? He looked at his mate and was like i dont even know what your talking about dickhead you dont know shit this holden would flog your shitty import, i just replied with oh okay, it was fairly open going on to the freeway and we got a another red light i ignored them trying their hardest for a race we finally hit a 100 zone which i knew was coming up we both came out of the corner doing 40ks...they started accelerating from behind again and could tell he was on it hard i casually smacked it back into 2nd the car popped out a bit so i hit it into 3rd stuck my thumb down out the window and watched them disappear i backed off when i realized they werent exactly catching up, with lost pride they snuck back a few rows behind me
  5. Cheers for the help guys, knowing the sizing has helped a lot...just one problem is i was probably going with the glow shift elite 10 colour gauges and its going to be a little difficult pressing the buttons on the gauges when theyre hidden away in a cluster haha...hopefully ill spring some brilliant idea...if not im going to have to pay the extra and go with my original plan of the HDI gauges http://www.performance-wise.com/userimages/HDI/GAUGES%20SMALL.jpg
  6. Hey guys, So im currently doing quite a bit of work to my 34 gt-t and had a couple of questions about the stock gauges and upgrading them as i heard they werent 100% accurate and the standard 1bar boost gauge is useless to me as ill be running 18+ psi soon... Firstly how big are the gauge faces as im hoping to just put the new gauges into the original cluster, secondly will the wiring match up from the old gauges to the new ones or will i have to replace it and remove the old wires/sensor etc and lastly has anyone put in an after market door pillar cluster if so how hard is the wiring job for that as i really dont want to be drilling holes through the firewall...im probably asking really stupid and obvious questions its just i havent been able to look over anything as my cars off the road with no battery so im not fussed at looking at it just yet until its running plus would rather hear some answers from experience because i want to do it right the first time as i cant stand dodgy jobs or having to guess. Cheers. Brock
  7. skylinesandman...wow, you really are the reason people dislike skyline owners...the reason everyone is hating on you is because of your heroic post about driving through the mountains which you would definitely do and all O_o...and telling the other guys here who actually have a bit of sense about them not to act like f**king idiots on the road to go have fun in their corollas? Are you 12? Do as they say, sell your skyline...dont even bother buying another car because the world needs less drivers like you on the roads...im only 20yrs old and drive a 400hp, 34 its not breaking any records but nobody know how fast it is either because i dont act like a f**k bag 24/7 i dont understand why people in any car have to floor it away from anyone or try and be professional drifters around every corner not one person looks at it and thinks f**k yeah thats cool, everyone in the street is thinking your a douche plus public roads werent meant for that shit either, why try and drift an off cambered corner with imperfections in it...great way to hurt yourself, wreck your car or worse hurt somebody else, go hang your keys up until you can get this through your gorilla head, im lucky to come from a small place and im the only one that owns a skyline around here and since its nice and looked after, sounds good and i dont drive like a f**k wit its treated and thought of as a very nice car and im always being complimented, thats how it always should be as skylines are a beautiful car...but people like you wreck it for the real enthusiasts...by the way this is getting really off topic just sayin..
  8. 9. I have a sard fuel pump and power fc tune already done mate
  10. Could have been flywheel kw...it has injectors already sorry didn't put that down and yeah I haven't even seen dyno sheets for it I'm just going off what the seller had actually told me so I'm not trying to spin shit, all I know is it ate my mates 06 sti, has beaten ve ss's, supras etc but yeah I'll have to dyno it after the turbo gets back..this is all a learning experience as I've never worked on these engines before
  11. Boost control and ecu?
  12. Ive actually been told to do the same thing over my other thread and thanks alot for the reply, the engines got more than enough to handle the hiflow route so i think i may do that but yeah its only been recently rego'd i dont mind when its off getting the 2month build done but now its just like i said depressing but thankyou ill get onto someone asap about the hiflow and rebuild
  13. Its currently running a big trust front mount, power fc /w hand controller, avcr, apexi power intake, Z32 AFM, 3 1/2inch jasma exhaust, big sard fuel pump, hks plugs, hks SSQV3 bov and soon to have spit fire coilpacks so its plenty to handle the high flowed set up
  14. Ill have to get on to them and perhaps post it or something cause im in the middle of rural NSW with no performance shops anywhere in sight so we all have to do everything ourselves around here..good way to learn but yeah do you know anything about what price it would be to get it cleaned up and high flowed? the car made 235rwkw at 10psi and i had it running at 1bar after a while, stupid idea and probably why it blew but I knew what i was in for and didnt mind as i was going for the new build soon anyway but that seems like a quick fix and being the same turbo would obviously bolt immediately back on thanks for the help guys
  15. Hey guys only recently blew the standard turbo on my 34 gtt, i was going to just keep it off the road until its sent away for the build but i want to get it back on as i dont want all my rego going to waste plus its extremely sad seeing it sit there and not move...but anyway Ive had no experience with upgrading into a smaller turbo class with the rb25s/neos etc...so was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what would be a good choice as a straight bolt on to the original manifold/dump etc i want something with a little more punch than the standard turbo as i want to run a bit more boost for the time being so any help as to what would be ideal to throw on and make a little more power and not have to go through a drastic tune or at least be relatively driveable once i bolt it on. Thanks. B
