  1. throw up a pic of your headlights - you've probably had them converted to H1, in that case you need to do something different than getting a H1 hid kit there's something else going on in that pic.... either spacers or little camber? that is not how 9.5's +12's fit on a 34 R
  2. try the passenger side mirror Simon - i was a little confused too to begin with...
  3. still seems too green?? i think more silica breath than anything else... maybe it's its own colour? not a body colour
  4. why do you have an HID kit going into your 34? you should have Xenons 18 x 10.5 +15 on 285/30 all around for me. Fits fine, but could go bigger again
  5. one option is to get into a big corporate... even as a shit-kicker job and work your way up. I've seen quite a few people who've done well just getting to really know their area and then leveraging that into some bullshit project or business analysis role etc and then just move and move, move around, get to know different parts of the business. Seen a couple people with no uni/tertiary qualifications, just school, do that. maybe look at knocking off the equivalent year 12 qualification as well?? EDIT: the other option is, and it's a bit cliched but i think has a pretty damn good grounding in fact and is probably the best place to start looking at least.... figure out what your passions are and start there. You're obviously quite practically as you've listed a few trades but is that something you enjoy? i was looking at engineering traineeships as a career change, you need yr 12 qualifications, but they pay you as you train. Decent money too, mid $60k's i believe? and it's about 3-4 years and moves up the $ scale fairly well. But i think you need at least Maths methods and a science, or maybe just one, to qualify. something creative maybe... you can knock off some diplomas in short'ish time - defence force? But i think getting the year 12 sorted out probably is priority #1. And yes, add me to the 'quarter life crisis' list... i wonder whether it's more accute for Gen Y? or if this was a gen x thing as well? not sure if the feeling would have been as pervasive amongst the Boomers...
  6. what power do you have a the moment and what boost? my guess would be around 320rwkw on E85? still plenty of fun - IMO, if you're not tracking the car much don't go bigger than -9's
  7. by bad state... you mean cracked bumpers, dented panels etc? or mechanically ruined?
  8. some interesting info in here http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/165671-all-these-crazy-new-attessa-mods-4.html
  9. as for the US results, well it's about 540rwkw.... so given US results are always very happy (or ours are conservative??) if it's say 10% out, that's high 400's... have no idea if that's realistic for that setup for not. randomly found this on a Dutch tuning companies site - PT6765 - 611kw. - not sure if fly wheel conversion or at the wheels. EDIT: never mind, looking at the other results, it looks like they've done some calc to guestimate the engine power... not very useful then... 10. yeah i thought US 93 was roughly equivalent to our 98?
  11. still a waste of time. A bad 'cut and polish' can create more work for a proper detail than if it was left un-touched. Seriously, just leave ANY sort of detailing until it's finished all it's workshop/travel time. If it's coming over covered transport, just make sure it's washed, that's all. And take SHITLOADS of photos so you know EXACTLY what condition it was when it left. Take (or get taken) lots of close ups of the rim lips, front lip especially, lower sections (skirts, rear pods), rear diffuser. Of course, odo reading as well.
  12. there is no car cover that won't scratch. period. see how imperfect the paint is on show cars next time and tell me covers are great... the covers are there more for branding/"the reveal"/exclusivity than anything else. i suppose next we should all use paraffin dusters because that's what they use on show cars... having a car cover for indoors is a waste of time. Outside... maybe, if it's a really harsh environment - But you're still better off having a good few layers of a very durable sealant on a car IMO, and then use a sun-shade reflective thing to give the interior a bit of protection.
  13. did you get receipts for the rebuild work on the 2530's? because he was selling the Trust turbos as "excellent condition" which seems a bit strange as he had to replace them. power runs on a known dyno are probably a better indication than compression test, so Allstar should give you a better indication. If it makes the power, it makes the power. Did you get a leak down test? Don't bother with the detail, ESPECIALLY if you're trucking it to Melbourne. Wait until you've it's passed through all the workshop hands, trucking companies, RWC in Melbourne, Vic roads etc... and THEN get it detailed. It's the last thing you should do, especially if you're going to get it checked over by a reputable workshop here in Melbourne as well (a good idea). Once you've done all the boring, annoying stuff like RWC's, vicroads etc... take it to Final Inspection after good luck.
  14. HIRISK., how'd you go mate?? .... still can't get over your username considering.......
  15. faaaark me, 17 with -7's.... admittedly Chris was behind the wheel, a few seconds there! haha but still.... faark... funny... i thought his car was -5's.... he's changed since yeah? ok... maybe for 'normal' people who don't own/run GTR specific workshops, has anyone else got into the teens at Sandown with -7's? i thought everyone after, Jack, Ant, Snowy etc were -5's with semis?
  16. ouch - what pump?
  17. well into the teens at sandown on GT-SS?? really?? i thought the well sorted, well driven, RP -5's R's were doing 18's, 19's? just put in on E85 - i've got 2530's... but had i done the build myself i think i would have gone GT-SS equiv on E85 - i think for the street, that's the sweet spot unless you're a track junkie.
  18. 18 x 10.5 +15, 285/30 - no rubbing issues... AD08's
  19. this seemed like an ad from the original post and now the OP is really making it sound like he's trying to push a product "what if i tell you..." doesn't matter if you give people the material... labour is not cheap and yes a proper wrap job is getting close to a respray and won't last as long either i take it you're trying to sell something?
  20. then why run E85? - i would think there might be issues 'detuning' so much, but not sure not sure why you'd go through the process of an E85 tune and not take advantages of making the change in the first place ??
  21. the Midori ones??? i think 126K yen retail for 90mm - approx $1600 before shipping
  22. oooo... got a clip you could throw up by any chance/? prob getting a little technical for me, but i can give it a crack. How would one go about doing this?
  23. no idea... by asking the question i'm guessing not all manufacturers use the same measurement? ie, some use OD and some ID? but don't we always just refer to 3"/3.5"/4" exhausts? i'm assumed that was always the OD?
  24. look like merge to 90mm, not twin 90mm soooo sexy....
