  1. i have front/rear adj bars and springs/shocks if that's what you mean by coilovers?
  2. heathen!! sad news, are you parting with parts? or everything goes as is?
  3. then ask the garage why my oil pressure was/is always fine when running 0w in summer they learn the same old shit at those mechanic schools... old shit... 10w40 if you're doing a lot of track work.... PERHAPS.... I went to 5w30 BECAUSE i was doing some track work (Royal Purple) but will drop down to 0w30 German Castrol to see how that goes. 98, GTT, 76K km
  4. Mario, you haven't mentioned claying the R35 before paint correction... interested on your thoughts on this? Did you run a PTT on the GTR? I'd can't imagine any new car these days having so little paint that you'd have to worry about removing too much clear whilst using 106FF on CCS White?? Rotary yes, FF on white? hmmm... for those reading, the questions are purely and simply questions. As with many things, there are many ways to skin a cat, and detailing is no different cheers, daniel
  5. ^ i've seen a few people ask in this thread "what can i buy at super cheap, etc..." - my post was a response to those questions, not directed at Mario
  6. does the manual mention anything about 100K service for cylinder recoating?? i think it's still all internet bullshit about the 100K tear-down, but as they're officially on sale in the states now, surely this has been confirmed yay or nay?
  7. were those the final shots after paint correction? if so, defects remain... what was the LSP used? wax/sealant? i see you used Lake Country pads, what polishes were used? about the only thing worthwhile in the autoglym range is the bumper care. There are practically no products you can buy at super cheap/auto barn that will achieve an impressive finish, end of story. Water marks/etchings are actually mineral deposits left behind, not a magnification after-effect of the suns rays
  8. ^ you mean in terms of getting around power/weight?
  9. a couple guys at autobarn saying there was a factory R33 GTS4-T? dubious at best... i'm 99.9% sure there was never a FACTORY turbo 4wd. get the VIN and run it through FAST, should prove it then
  10. what's the price premium? bp ultimate is 13 cents + the ULP price

it's f*cken retarded to buy bottled water anyway!! for the greenies, these things will soon be as unsociable as fur coats

    Kebabs

kebabs'r'yummy, south melbourne - i really like the ones there having said that, i'm with adz, barely ever eat them and prob had my first one on a year or so ago
  13. hey DOSKI did you get the badge from Power Play? i've been calling them for weeks, no answer and why the GTS-R badge when you don't have any East Bear items?

^ dude, what have you been filling up with. You SHOULD be filling up with BP Ultimate
  15. My friend only showed me pics, i saw brembo's but the rims were the non-track rims... the track rims weren't an option were they? I'm just wondering if they saw her coming, maybe did something with the rims, or perhaps the brembo's were an option and it's not really a track model? is there a button in the cabin somewhere to check for stability control? the other thing i thought with 'fast' is that if it said it came from factory with the lightweight rims, i would get her to ask the dealer where the hell they went!
  16. can you do 350Z checks? checking for a friend... have a suspicion a dealer is doing a dodgy, need to know if it REALLY is a "track" model and if it came from the factory with the REAL track rims, the lightweight ones... EDIT: hmmm... i don't think i've been given a VIN, i've got the engine # VQ35037314 and this JNIGAA233A0010029 - being a Zed, should it have a Z33 type code somewhere? - It's OZ delivered obviously
  17. SK gets dozens of PM's, EVERY DAY, 50+ possibly, most of it probably doesn't even pertain to group buys.... he doesn't make money off these kits and basically has offered, free, damn right impressive, advice on these forums for years. The closest thing we have to gospel around here. Please be patient, he or matt (i think is the other guy) will get to the PM. Centreline in Vic quoted $500, and that was a "special" price for me! Centreline sponsor SAU Vic, of which i'm a paid member (10% discount i believe) AND i also had a 20% discount voucher ONTOP of my membership. Best price? $500 Traction Tyres do great work, 2 guys working on it, multiple test drives of the car, adjusted my sway bars for me as well. But for those comparing i ONLY had shocks, springs, and front/frear camber kits installed. If you're getting higher quotes, it could be because you have more stuff being done. Once parts are sent, Toll priority are very quick.
  18. hooked up a detailing deal with Final Inspection yet? i reckon it would be radical
  19. i don't know what's happening in "da clubs" but the following is some MUSIC you can check out John Mayer - Where The Light Is (DVD, but get the audio from it, insanely good) John Mayer - Continuum Jason Mraz - We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things (ridiculously under-rated singer/songwriter) Lior - Corner Of An Endless Road (possibly our best singer/songwriter at the moment. He's australian, go support it!) Coldplay - Viva La Vida.... (X&Y was SHIT!! but the new album is very impressive) The Getaway Plan - Other Voices, Other Rooms (impressive songwriting wrapped up in some heavy rock) Sara Bareilles - Little Voice (damn can this chick write a song!) You won't find this in "da clubs" but you'll find some very impressive songwriting amongst those albums

dude, 34 is waaaaay too low, especially for such low profile tyres. I would be at 40psi all day, every day with such low profile. My 265/35's all round are constantly 40psi, i would be AT LEAST that for 19's with 30 profile. More contact patch with the road, better economy, better wet performance, slower head build up in side wall with constant cornering, and longer tyre life. It's win, win, win. 34psi on 30 profile tyres is silly, seriously

you will notice a difference, albeit slight, if you DON'T run your fuel down. You get more bang for buck (more fuel, less fumes, i know, sounds silly) on the refil if you fill from halfway. I did some testing, filling from halfway i can get about ~20km more out of tank, compared to filling from empty. Nominal, but still an improvement nonetheless. So you're best off getting to halfway then filling up. Obviously tyre pressures and driving style are going to help further still, and all that jazz G2DILA: Pump tyres to 38-40psi. (Buy a $5 pen tyre pressure tester to check this regularly). Try and fill from halfway if possible. Regular oil changes with something around the 0w30, 0w40, 5w30 with a group 4 or higher Synth oil. (Filter as well) As people have said, fill on Tuesdays, wednesday mornings. There are also some arguments for filling up early morning, late evening as again, there are less fumes (less servo traffic, less fuel being moved about), petrol has settled. If you have an aftermarket comptuer, get someone like Ben @ Racepace to check everything, make sure it's not running silly rich. Check spark plugs as well, maybe even upgrade coil packs. If you don't have an aftermarket computer, still not a bad idea to throw the car on a dyno to check to see how the ratios are going But i suppose mostly it comes down to the right foot, choosing gears, etc.. take PT if possible I've switched to PT for my weekday shifts at work

i'm pretty sure you LOSE power when you go to gas incorrect. I don't see GWB flexing any US muscle on Nigeria? I don't see GWB telling the speculators to jump on the oil bandwagon. I don't see OPEC hugely increasing oil production (relative to some demands from US/EU, etc). GWB is a tool, no doubt, but Iraq and Iran have had little impact on what we're seeing now.
  23. from the first page, Heasmans Sydenham NSW East Coat Suspension Kirrawee NSW St George Steering Punchbowl NSW Centeline Thomastown Vic Traction Tyre & Suspension Rowville Vic Discount Tyres Service Belconnen Act Motsons Qld Got mine installed at TT (Vic) $350 i think, with alignment (shocks/springs/camber kits front+rear) + plus fiddling with the adj swaybars i had in there. Very reasonable price i thought.
  24. the earliest booking i could get was Aug 12 so it's a few weeks wait, hopefully i can be fitted in sooner $960 drive-in/drive-out, that includes the new daughter board as well, well that's an R34 price. a pod filter just sitting out on it's own in the engine bay? i'll be retaining the stock airbox, but replacing with hi-flow panel filter, and other than that, we have the EXACT same mods. if you're going to track the car, i suggest getting a FMIC, if not... perhaps just get an R34 SMIC, actually, being an R33 i'd suggest upgrading. The R34 SMIC are not bad as is, so i didn't really have to get a new cooler but i have and will continue to track the car so i felt it was necessary. hoping to get 200rwkw, but we'll see.
