anyone else with some more piccies? spewin i missed the Nur, is there another one floating around with possibly gold/silver lip BBS rims? I was having dinner at Bombay by Night on North rd (killer indian restaurant) and just happened to be looking out the window the same time a millenium jade 34 GTR drove past, and from the blur of the wheels, looked like gold/silver lip rims.

hehe, you think $40 a bottle is expensive, how about $18,000? $40 is cheap, but if you're going to spend that money, buy OCW for $30, better all round wax, and dead set easy to use. If you want a paste wax, P21S is a great bang for buck wax as well. The real stand out waxes only really start from $100 onwards, and by stand out, i mean the real quality, boutique type waxes. And i'm not joking about the $18,000 either

but no one could do compliance for these here yet could they? Is it even on the SEVS list yet? EDIT: just checked the link.... god that car is HOT!!!! Black has been my choice, and seeing that in full sunshine... as if you'd go any other colour!

Congrats Marcus and Jack!! and all the other winners Great to finally meet some of you chumps! And how a car can win with that much vinyl i'll never know... Very impressive beast Matt Corker of a day, nice to finally get out to one of these events Andrew, is that factory Nissan paint or has some of your car seen some respray action over the years? Zip-ties FTMFW!

Good Panel Repairer / Painted In Western Suburbs?
SS8_Gohan replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
mate, speaking from experience, DON'T go with the cheapest price. There is a very DIRECT corelation between money spent and results achieved, when it comes to panels/painting. Did you get a quote from GAL? Word of mouth counts for a lot, i don't think Primal panels has been mentioned in this thread... what needs to be done on your car? -
^ hey mate (daniel with the black R34), hot, hot rims!! lucky to get them with the car. If you ever want to fix em up 100%, Craig @ colorurmags.com.au (something like that) is your man have fun modding your car! See Damian @ Final Inspection if you want to get it detailed

hahah, love it by blend out, you mean like a gradient type effect?

Good Panel Repairer / Painted In Western Suburbs?
SS8_Gohan replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
dude, how many places do you need??!!? Would you like to send individual parts to different workshops or something! GAL seems to be THE joint to go to out west have you even rung any of those places? find it hard to believe non of them suited your needs... there's a lot of workshop names listed in this thread -
does it really matter if the comfort settings are made 'comfier'?? I mean, if you're in those settings, you're not punting it hard and are most likely just putting around town, so why not make it more comfy? If you can do that and NOT take away ANYTHING from the other settings, i can't see there being a big problem making the 'comfy' setting more comfy

you'll be lucky to have change from $150K if you're buying one here. And for those serious and holding out for the V-Spec, it's not going to be a slight increase like the older GTR's, the V-Spec is going to be realistically a track only car, with a HUGE premium over the base model, you're talking 5mil yen, so don't look for much change from $250k for the V-Spec version, but considering what'll do, it will still be cheap comparatively. Cannont wait for the V-Spec, supposedly late 2008 we'll see it

so is the TG mag like a precursor to the episode where they're actually HAVE the GTR on? as in, is the mag article a spoiler for the episode? The quotes in the first post sound VERY promising Competing against a F430 Scuderia in what will be it's "slowest" trim...... that's some freaky shit right there considering what's to come from this car!

excuse the previous post.. basically, the old adage here is true "if it's too good to be true...." DON'T APPLY THIS AFTER YOUR RESPRAY!!! a freshly resprayed car needs a wax that will BREATHE! ie, carnauba based wax. A sealant will not let the new paint cure properly this product has been around for a while, and has been tried by quite a few. It will NOT give you 5 years of protection, you can base this on the behaviour of the water when you wash the car. From all accounts, it's hard to apply and remove (standard wax process). Some waxes are not designed to last forever, that is true. But you're MUCH better off spending LESS money on quality products such as Optimum's, OCW wax. A carnauba/synthetic blend. About $30, possibly THE easiest wax to apply and a few layers will give you ~3 months protection. PLUS it's safe on trims/rubbers (and give them some protection). VERY IMPORTANT as some LSP (last step product) can stain trim/rubbers and that gets very $$ to replace OEM. A $30 bottle of OCW will last you a year (most likely more) with waxing every couple of washes. It's a spray wax, so it's spray on, wipe, then buff off. Could do a whole car in about 10 mins, unlike hours for 5SS and it doesn't dust up either. Gimmicks like 5SS abound the interweb, perhaps i could interest you in a few products to halve your fuel consumption?

the way i read that press release was that the pre-order number was talking about the number of orders placed WITHIN Japan??? It didn't seem to mention 'world-wide' pre-orders?? Or did i just read it wrong

^ ha hah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaahhh AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

not sure if you saw my post in the D.A. thread Marcus, but i'm sooo glad you took my advice to go get your car worked on by Damian. You could travel the country and possibly ship your car anywhere in the southern hemisphere and not find a better detailer It's going to look stunning Stage 3? And please say you're getting a coat of Royale to finish it off? Nothing like finishing with a $18,000 coat of wax

armourall is the work of the devil

^ how is the compliance going? get all the parts you needed? Did they make you change your Xenon's to halogen? aaaand i've got nothing to add to the thread
-
man i look young in this thread the adjustments are there mate, i just can't remember where!! hahaha, we did find them when i had my car resprayed. Just hunt around, the white cogs are the hi-beam or side-to-side, and i think there are small "hex" bolts which are quite long, that adjust the low beam up/down
-
hahah, there are Triple arm systems in that link above go the triple, 3's better than 2 and is surely better than 1! 3 headlights FTMFW yo!!
-
i'm suitably confused... got a pic?? I'm 99% sure Nissan didn't have hi-beam as Xenon. Maybe compliance did something really weird and swapped your real D2R's into the hi-beam?? dunno... very strange
-
Hi beam wasn't even Xenon from factory as far as i know? You can only really have hi beam Xenon with is always on with lo beam, but a shield use to block the hi-beam light until you need it. Xenons don't really flick straight on like halogens, so hi-beam is a slight different story
-
mate, if your H1 insert is loose, then you've hit the jackpot I don't know the diameter of a D2R globe, but it should be ready to accept one if you get rid of the insert
-
Tyaos, so sorry mate, but that's what i forgot to tell you. Compliance puts this metal piece in the socket for where the globe sits to make it fit an H1 globe. So basically, the sockets for the H1 globes in our headlights can't take D2r's at the moment, we have to remove the metal piece they put in. AFTER that, we can go nuts on the D2R kits. That's what i was saying to you via PM that i remember there was something stopping me from just going straight back to D2R but couldn't remember what. That "something" is the metal piece they insert in the socket. It's glued or welded in there, and i have a feeling we'd have to take the headlight apart to get to it. 666DAN: You're one of the ultimate handy-men when it comes to 34's, would we need to oven our headlights to take the H1 insert out?? cheers, daniel
