was just curiosity, i had a full respray done last year. standard black, nothing special, just curious that's all...
-
what's a rough price for a full respray? little or no body work involved, just a straight forward respray job?

as per title, do any companies offer services to fix interior squeaks/noises? Want to get rid of some, and haven't had any experience with trim removal, etc, or any techniques to stop the noises. I don't mind giving it a shot myself, but just wondering if there is anyone who offers this type of service, where i could just pay to get it done cheers, daniel

ray charles is r&b, this doesn't even classify as music. Just another example of someone unique sounding (read akon, who is unbelievable crap) going well, so record companies rush around trying to put something else out to ride the wave made by someone else.

was thinking SASR-34 .... stupid? think special forces...
-
NXT, what prices are talking about anyway? I'd be getting OCW over both (made by Optimum)
-
FAT34, can anyone else help ya? fair few people in this thread have a variety of products from this kit... Luke, dude, first page, first post. Have a read.

What LSP you got on there Pete? welcome to the east bear club What parkers you got going there? I put some LED ones in recently, don't like em. And they were such a bitch to put in too, had to drop the front bar. now the detailing obsession will begin in earnest, good luck with that!

Omurru: would i have seen you one day turning into thomas rd i think, from nepean highway? Turning in a "spirited" manner? i was thinking hoon hotline because i'm sure there was some option in there for "unecessary acceleration" or something like that. The dude was really moving, and you could tell he had it to the floor because the back of the car was squating down quite a lot. But didn't really feel like chucking a u-banger, and following him to get his/her plates the other one i've been noticing recently are the dibby? van cars flicking on their lights to go through a red light (no siren) and then turn them off once they get through the intersection. (this is late night stuff) That annoys me and just general speeding that i see. might use some of the direct police email addresses next time i see something.
-
I know there's that hoon hotline floating around these days, but just wondering if there would be any point reporting a cop car to the hotline? Saw a highway patrol car (the fancy yellow, stickered looking ones) giving it an absolute fang up springvale rd (cnr of wellington) no lights, no sirens, just turned left from wellington onto springvale, passing macca's on the left. Easily 100km/hr+, pedal would have been to the floor. Not that quiet those V8's... Too quick to get plates or roof number, but wondering more in a hypothetical sense is there any point reporting this sort of thing? Or would it just be ignored considering it involved a police car? It was the second most recent commodore model, highway patrol car. Yellow with all the stickers down the side.

washing, you are correct, no circles. Also, no OVERLAPPING strokes. Polishing is a little different, in that with an RO you work in a cross-hatch pattern... but by definition of an RO, it's circular anyway. If you have a properly cleaned and prepared surface, circular polishing is fine. The main point is to remove the spent polish with a quality MF cloth. Aquatouch being amongst the best. If you have a poor MF cloth to buff off the polish, you could induce swirling. Washing is where you have to be careful, as that's where the vast majority of swirls/scratches are introduced.

that's what i mean. I'm sure Nissan will have the car ready, if they can get the price right they just have to figure out how to give the level of service ppl spend that much dosh expect. The only way i see it happening (without launching the Infiniti brand again) is to just pick a handful or dealers who are the ONLY ones to sell/service/support GTR's. And ideally, have specialist people at each dealership to look after the GTR customers. Probably quite pricey though, but yes, the service you get when buying a BMW, etc, is what people will be expecting. I don't think it matters what "car manufacturer" dealership service you get, it's always going to be a rip-off. That's where they make their big profits, parts and servicing. Local Aussie or Euro brand, delearship servicing is just plain expensive. And my bad, the new M3 is about $160-165K. A touch more expensive than the last one. BUT... 0 - 100, 4.8 seconds. It's not even quicker than the M5/M6. And considering neither of those cars can mix it with the 997 Turbo, it seems the new M3 won't be a performance competitor for the new GTR, just a price competitor. No doubts the new M3 will be a monster of a car, but just not a supercar (which i'm sure it wasn't intended to be one anyway)
-
yeah, i've always maintained that it will be a 911 turbo competitor/beater for half the money. 911 Turbo's are $315-$330k i believe, so if you deliver a car that can out perform a 997 Turbo for $150-$170K, i would think you're onto a winner. The new M3 is actually going to be quite pricey, near the $190K mark apparently. RS4 is around that price too, a bit less. If the GTR can undercut it's direct PRICE competitors (M3, RS4, etc) it should be smiles all round as it will destroy those cars, and if it can AT LEAST be a 997 Turbo rival at that price bracket, all Nissan has to do is make sure it can provide the service that people spending that much money expect. Can't wait for October, new M3 launch and the TMS, woohoo!

^ niiiiice post.... certainly brings things back into perspective well, i hope the soaring aussie dollar is going to help keep it around $150k, i think it's still competitive being priced around there.
-
Adz mate, don't even stay with Just Rip-Offs if they offer you like $50 cheaper. Your repairer, excess, features with shannons are waaaaay better. Damn it, so there are new SAU Vic shannons people! Can you call outside a renewal time and ask to see if anything can be "tweaked"?

hahaha, i have no f*cking idea what any of you are talking about the but the telly tubby is gold

^ ahh the interior is covered in like a black plastic/vinyl to hide the design.... -
oooo, intriguing cheers for the info

what sorta prices are we looking at for a decent helmet? and is the 'drift for dummies' still happening? isn't it held at the same place in shep?

swaybars are in, no other sus mods, but car sits noticeably flatter. Rear end is more predictable, can really find the limit of your tyres a bit too easily it might just be in my head, but would it make the car a bit more "solid" over general bumps and humps? I seemed to notice on my usual roads that are a little crappy, and just going straight, the car will just be more settled over the uneven stuff. Might just be in my head settings i have at the moment are full hard rear, full soft front. Will wait for a track day to play with them

don't need cardio. Need squat rack bench incline/decline bench free weights barbells with weights not happening in the spare room unfortunately
-
i live in Sandy, not sure if Narre Warren would be the best of locations, but thanks for the tip Home gym unfortunately isn't an option, the spare room we have isn't that big and i don't think would take well to weights being dropped constantly. I did think about this option though. I use to be re-creation Trackside (ended 24th June), so can use King Club in sandy, but i was hoping something around $700-$800 direct debit.

sorry to pry mate but i was just randomly wandering around ns.com and there was some guy with an S15 that was REALLY after some GTC's, new or used. So i PM'd him your link for the rims, this was 1 day before you posted that they might be sold, so i thought the two might be connected, and after all this time, i thought i may have found you a buyer anyways, gd luck with the sale

sup y'all my gym membership expired the other week. The last few years i've been paying high 500's, to mid 600's and was shocked to find the price is now about $900 upfront or $1000+ direct debit!!! And this seems to be normal! Insane... anyways, just wondering if anyone out there can hook a fellow SAU Vic brother up with a good gym membership? I'm bayside way, and ideally a Re-creation contact would be tops. cheers! daniel
