  1. pictures like that make baby jesus cry M-Spec, AFAIK, is the "softer" version of the R34 GTR's, leather, softer ride etc... although, this has a beefed up engine, roll cage, and other goodies... so it's been de-softened a touch and yes, that is one impressive garage!
  2. was it black with a GT spoiler?
  3. where do the slide turbos' fit in? are they the same/better than the GCG?
  4. completely wrong. www.drdrift.com "One of our rather unique talents is in the reprogramming of factory engine management in many cars. The factory Nissan ECU's have a huge potential whilst still maintaining all the factory features of economy, drivability, cold starts, and idle control." many types of Nissan's can be remapped. I'm trying to decide between remap and pfc Brad: what sort of reasonable prices are you find for the r34 pfc's?
  5. did the ex (impeached) president rock up in some exotica?? do we get minutes anymore for these meetings? i work from 3:30 - 11:30pm every tuesday
  6. here, like right here? congrats! who's the membership committee person? i paid a while ago, just wondering if that's all registered and has come through
  7. hmm, tell us more specifically $$ etc...
  8. SOLD! posted them off this morning
  9. well considering it's all said and done, i didn't want to ruin any impending transactions. but i edited out the fact that clear side indicators are very $$ relative to what they are, and mesh, is well.... not. Bunnings could help you out with the mesh for very little $ i didn't think it was a very fair swap that's all. It's just mesh! not exactly a Nismo item...
  10. ah this thread i put Redline MT-90 in my gearbox, as i was told it's for newer km cars, say less than 100K km's? The gearbox has always been a little notchy when cold, but the MT-90 didn't affect that at all, if not made it more notchy when cold. And i don't think has made an improvement at all when at normal operating temp. The car has done 63,000km's. I was told the Lightweight shockproof can be a little dodgy, say if you whacked it into a 10,000km gearbox, and the MT-90 was designed for that. But should i maybe try the Lightweight next time?
  11. dishwashing liquid is ok for the paint, it will just strip wax. Which is not a bad thing to do every now and then, after you have say 3-4 layers of wax, and just want to start fresh again, by stripping back the wax, giving the car a clay, paint cleanser, sealer, then wax. dishwashing liquid is safe, just not for your wax.
  12. if you have a FMIC, what's a safe limit of rwkw's you can run (given a turbo change) without "opening the engine"?
  13. if you're after more a GT style wing, but that's still all factory plastic, i'm selling my R34 wing. It's factory black as well i'm in melbourne too. Click on the link in my sig
  14. i've heard they do a similar thing on the great ocean rd, unofficially. basically get a car to go ahead and basically be a saftey car, and i would suppose on a stretch of rd that has no entries to it. Radio back saying all clear, no cars on the road, and then they can do timed runs, giving it full stick and using both lanes. Or just use their lane and report back that there isn't any camera's, etc... who knows, urban legend maybe
  15. where's the vid link?? i went to sauvic.com.au and clicked like a mad man, but couldn't find the right area?
  16. yep, big thanks to Kevin, Jeff, and helpers for making the day run sooo friggen smooth... too bad my driving on the skid pan wasn't the same! I know i speak for all those at the event, that kev's skills on the skid pan were just down right stupidly cool! S13, R33, R34, R32, and evo a friggen Evo 8 MR! perfect drifting circles! Although, the Evo didn't want to comply with as much "angle" as the RWD cars... just to get that thing to step out a touch, and to hold it... i think i need more initial speed next time, despite the fact i nearly spat myself out of the skid pan
  17. what i meant was, does anyone remember what we were TRYING to do? It wasn't to hold a drift, it was to learn that the pedal that gets you into trouble, gets you out of trouble. Not, what were we learning we learnt that coming off the loud pedal helped us get our steering back, hence, bring the car back under control. but after that, i think we were all trying to become the DI champion in 8 minutes , just needed that extra minute
  18. ooo, there's one of me! thanks brad!
  19. do you think maybe the officer didn't file anything?
  20. the foot that gets you in trouble, gets you out of trouble, that's true. You mash the go pedal, start to skid, come off it, and then steer your way out of it. It works, and that's the point of what Kev was showing us... but after realising that that was true.... we just tried to drift Ziad: you don't have to worry, your car gets you out of trouble
  21. i know a genuine panaphonic when i see one! and look! Sorny!
  22. ^ second that. Careful with 15psi on a stock turbo, with the mods you've done. 12psi seems to be the safe limit.
  23. can also be a general discussion of the day in here as well. Hahahah, Ziad and your cheater evo that refused to step out of line. Even the great Kev wasn't able to hold "much" of a slide continously in your beast. It's an amazing car Ziad, should be very happy with it. I know what i'd prefer to be in, in the wet! One thing i think might help me next time on the skidpan.... momentum.. I reckon to keep a continuous drift going around, i think you might need to be going a fair bit faster initially. Because Ziad mentioned that Kev was doing between 60-80, and i'm sure as hell most of us were trying to fight a skid waaay before those speeds. So i reckon next time, work up to 60, trying not to step it out, then give it a "little" extra just to step it out, and try and control with the throttle from there. well that's i reckon, until the theory is destroyed next time i do it! actually i noticed Adz going quite a bit quicker than most of us, and he was holding some nice drifts. anyone remember that we were trying to learn how to recover from a skid? ..... nope didn't think so
