  1. took my car to traction tyres in rowville. Not really the friendliest of bunch, i guess i was expecting full-on motor sport enthusiasts who couldn't stop talking about it. Anyways, got a wheel balance and alignment, got rid of the steering wheel shudders/vibrations i was getting at say 90km/hr+, so fixed that up, so on the freeway she's nice and stable. Um... didn't really notice much else of a difference. Although, the R34 doesn't have a lot of adjustments options from factory. I can't remember exactly, but the front doesn't have say camber adjustment, or something like that. So they adjusted what they could. Drives straight, fixed shudder on the highway, so yeah, was a good job. And the other thing to mention is that not all places are setup to do 4WS alignments, etc. Obviously these guys are. Yes, SydneyKid does recomment them. I've been very keen on his suspension kits for a while, but just the $ issue. But yeah, if i get the kit, i'll probably take it to Traction Tyres just because they are closer. But i've spoken to Chris at Centreline a couple of times, and he's super friendly, and was completely cool with giving good, in-depth advice over the phone.
  2. but you only have an up down, side-to-side, adjustments. You can't affect the light output/pattern manually. That's all determined by the globes used, and the reflectors/projectors. So really, what you need is maybe some guideline saying that at a distance of x metres, the light cutoff should be x metres above the ground (using a wall/garage door). It's not like there is a 'focus' adjustment. Well, at least not for the R34 headlights. zorb: how exactly did they determine that your headlights weren't aimed correctly?
  3. i know that my R34 lights have manual adjustments you can do yourself. So maybe a freebie there?
  4. the last one seems strange? What car are we talking about. Are you sure it's a plumback BOV they're concerned with, or one that ISN'T plumback?

  11. my goodness, 3 threads on this already! 1) it's a BAD photochop 2) no such thing as a Skyline GTR anymore, for f*cks sake! 3) given the above, and the fact the credibility is out the window due to the above two, i highly DOUBT there is even an evo GTR /end rant

  19. if you were to go the RB30DET using a NEO RB25DET, how much coin are you looking to part with, driving away from the workshop?
  20. FBI tint is standard (or perhaps factory option) on the cars in Japan. That's how they come from factory, don't ask me why. No legality issues for the windows the tint is on. That's why it's not touched during compliance.
  21. ^ ah yeah.... ISP, IP addresses and stuff... i guess that makes sense. Seems like an awful lot of hassle... maybe if the offence was big enough. I think my internet works on a dynamic address though...
  22. in another thread, Sam, Dr.Drift, said that the dyno is up and running again. It was fixed, but just has a few cosmetic "issues" now
  23. for the database to work, wouldn't they at least need to see a pic of your car with rego showing? or know of a VERY unique feature? like that tool at ns.com with the ONLY convertible S15 in melb.... ah derr...
  24. Dr.Drift remap FTW!! well, that's what i'll be doing R34, manual
  25. i just assumed you could obviously you can't then. So looks like it's 6L's for you, and just buy a 4L next time and then start the cycle again, 6L, then 4L, etc I bought 6 quarts of Mobil 1, but have 1 unopened bottle left over, and some of my Redline oils are left over as well. So yeah, go 6 this time, and just keep the extra for your next service. 5000km's shouldn't take too long. The oil will keep cheers, daniel EDIT: there are some real oil gurus in this thread, so hopefully i haven't sent you down the wrong path. But i looked into this a fair bit before my service, and i hope i'm passing on knowledge unblemished as it was given to me
