  1. i'm after a nice clean cut-off. The HID kit i have at the moment is crap! just bleeds light eveywhere... i want the cutoff back
  2. Hi all, just wondering if an R34 owner with STOCK/FACTORY/OEM Xenon headlights could please take a picture of their headlights at night, point down the street, or preferably at a wall from a decent distance? My headlights were gutted during compliance, but i know a lot of R34's managed to slip through without this happening. I'm deciding whether i want to go to standard (which i've not seen before in person) or maybe go projector retro-fit. But if the stock light is good enough, i'll go that way (cheaper) so yeah, if someone could take some pics, that would be awesome!!!! cheers, chinny
  3. hmm... if the engine check light, plus TCS and SLIP lights don't come on when it misses, might not be coilpacks. Although, sounds very much the same...
  4. "mendozaaaaAAAAAA" EDIT: ah! i see them!! i see them in your avatar!!
  5. confirm, damn it, confirm! website has only 17"...
  6. price me up with tyres please too bad you don't get that mean offset look that the GTR-sized LM-GT4's get
  7. splitfires..... splitfires..... my r34 was doing what yours was doing, but back before all the DIY tips had popped up, so i went straight for the splitfires. Problem solved 110% maybe see if you can borrow some splitfires for a quick spin to cancel out the coilpack option? EDIT: it might not be the coilpacks if the TCS and SLIP lights aren't on? if they're not on when it starts to miss, it might not be coilpacks...
  8. does it really matter how many k's are "on it"? you're buying a dash, not a car...
  9. no offence guys, but if i'm moving on with these parts to another body kit, be realistic in what your offering. My front bar sold with a few chips and scratches for $650, and fairly tired paint. the rear bumper and side skirts are now resprayed in GV1, are mint, and washed and waxed regularly. They are genuine factory items with factory colour black. i should probably close this thread as there is interest, but not quite that realistic, and maybe start another thread when i'm definitely selling.
  10. what bout +38 up front with 235's. and +25 for the rears with 265's? i read in a prev post about removing inner guards, would this be an option for the fronts running the +38's? and is it dodgy to be running the exact same size rim for the whole car, for a RWD car?
  11. car wouldn't be lowered, or ever so slightly. would adjustable sway bars, front and rear help at all? so the lower the offest number, the further it sticks out? So the +38's would go up front and +25's the rear? i'd be thinking 265 the rear tyres, at least 255. someone previously mentioned removing the inner guards??
  12. bump, exact same interest in this EDIT: 18x9.5 +25mm offset 18x9.5 +38mm offset
  13. sooo, would i need to change it for a series 1 R34? i can't remember which gets the viscous and which gets the helical LSD, series 1 or 2?
  14. series 1 R34 has a viscous or helical LSD, i can never remember which one... so viscous doesn't need oil change... what about helical?
  15. projectors are very DIY. You'd have to get like Honda euro projects, maybe some BM E46 ones, i'm sure Hella or maybe Bosch make HID projectors. Whatever is going to fit best, but will take a fair bit of "know-how" - I think you'll be fine with the kit if you can get them adjusted properly. I've yet to do that, and don't know how much adjusting can be done. Marcus, are you handy at adjusting these headlights? Does it matter how the globe sits? because mine doesn't sit perfectly parallel to horizontal. Is there like a "focus" adjustment on headlights? Because until i suss out the projector option a bit more (hidplanet) i'm going to have to make do with my HID kit.
  16. the lighting is good enough (also depends on what colour temperature your globes are) but yes, it's just everywhere. much better if you can source OEM parts and convert back to standard. Or better yet, throw some projectors in there. Your headlights would be awesome then.
  17. well that 2, or it's a highly "treated" photograph, some live tracing going on possibly
  18. it seems some people have had issues when installing on a Sedan (with the heatshield) but how have people gone when installing on a coupe? any dramas?
  19. ah adz, i think the 2 cars are different. look at the rear reversing lights, rear bumper, guards, spoiler... that's actually a GTR the yellow car in the trailer is a stock kitted 34
  20. hmm... i only watched the 'full screen trailer', might have missed another vid?
  21. the yellow r34 looked stock in terms of kit?
  22. is it a Xenon headlight?
  23. i thought you had to like hit or "tag" the other car whilst drifting, then they were it, and had to then tag the other car in return... maybe that was just me...
