hong kong is a killer place, shopping is UNBELIEVABLE and it's a nice place to visit. Food is quite cheap too. did africa in '06, kenya, tanzania, zanzibar. Yeah, not cheap to get there, can be as cheap as you want it to be once in the country. hk ftw explanation on how one obtains 3 first class tickets for free!!?????!!?? and how does one use these tickets instead of yourself

expect SHITEHOUSE results. R34's are at a disadvantage when converting to HID because the original assembly was designed for a completely difference globe. Now, compliance rips these out and replaces with H1 halogen, which already gives you a shit result. You then switch to H1 Xenon globe, bit more light, but just more light EVERYWHERE. All you do is blind people. Only proper option is replace with OEM components, or retro-fit projectors. Now the real question is, what business can retro fit Xenon projectors?? That's something i would pay for. Someone told me RSM motorsports in melbourne, but i google'd them and they hardly seemed like the HID install place. I might have heard the wrong business name. Do any businesses offer a retro fit service?

that is INSANE!!!!!!!! 4 bi-xenon projectors!!! you MUST put up some night time pics when you get the chance.... you must blind everything within 50km's of your car in a 180 degree arc

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
SS8_Gohan replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
can't you get it through ebay? or does it specifically say only oz? i'm sure if you emailed him, and paid for one, with a little extra postage... he'd send it to NZ? it's still an item that needs to be taken to the post office... don't see what the difference is really? -
well i know the new style bi-xenon's are actually all in 1 projector. Basically, when the normal lights are on, the hi-beam is actually on as well, but shielded. But if you need to flick to hi-beam, it's ready to roll as the hi-beam is already on... it's just the shield that moves. So basically hi-beam and lo-beam is on at the SAME time, it's just the hi-beam is always shielded when not needed. From the look of your pics, you have 2 projects, 1 hi-beam, 1 lo-beam? unfortunately i'm not handy enough to be retro-fitting Xenon projectors to my R34 headlights, although i wish i was. I'd prob have to source another set of R34 lights if i did even want to attempt it, as i'd imagine it would take me a while Would love to to do it though.... does change the front look of the car quite a bit though. Does honda have a bi-xenon option? or would i have to get some new BMW/Merc/Audi bi-xenon projector?
-
ooo... ooo... how much? i'm VERY keen to get some projectors into my R34. Everytime i see the euro's driving around at night..... damn!!! best lights ever!! this massively wide arc, and such a sharp cutoff you can see the marks in the fences and trees after they've driven past, burnt... straight through.... awesome

i beg to differ... THIS is what owning an import is all about.... trading the infinite wisdom of chuck norris on import car forums
-
hahahah, that is true... when chuck norris goes for a swim, chuck norris doesn't get wet... the water gets chuck norris'd

"NO! that's not true... that's impossible!"

Lightweight Flywheels For 32 And 33 Gtr And Gtst

this is for response yeah? better acceleration? or am i getting confused... -
doesn't it have to do with the circlip grooves/bump stop thingies? i'm pretty sure on the first page SK took some pics of where the ride would be, relative to what groove... i think there are pics on the 1st or 2nd page...
-
it still "whirrs.." as if it's turning in, but stops after about half a second. are these things easily pull-apart-able? chuck norris spits on electric fold in mirrors. He has steel side mirrors, which he just bends in with his bare hands when he parks, and then bends them out when needed, before taking off in his vehicle. same with his rear view mirror, solid steel. ONLY chuck norris can adjust his cars viewing aids, a lesser man would just break his arms trying...
-
but you started something, now other people are using "rolls" ahh...... /letting it go... anywho... haven't really been that involved in the club (owing to working tuesdays and golf saturdays with work sunday) but the driving training i'll be making a conscious effort this year. Under no illusions that i have little skill in a rwd turbo coupe. joelstrick for media sounds like a good idea and why are we wanting dezz as prez? (straight up question, no implications attached)

i'd recommend you buy the full kit all the items in the kit will do what you want. the springs are manually adjustable in terms of height. sway bars are a really good place to start for better handling without the coilover feel. But obviously don't change the ride height at all. SK is a very busy guy, so you might have to be a little patient with the PM, depending on how many thousands he has to reply to have a squiz through the thread from the first page onwards, you'll probably find most your questions are answered.

my left mirror doesn't fold in anymore must have a look at it closely one day... but mine are wired to my remote, so when i arm the car.... BAM!! fold in mirrors! that's chuck norris cool...

they're role's peoples!!! role's! we're not eating these people, they're not rolls!

you referring to me or Howie?? Just to clear things up. The ONLY reason i ever got autobahn involved is because i know they're a Viper dealer and i've been having battery problems, the alarm keeps draining it. Sometimes after being dead for a while, the remote won't talk to the alarm. I think i used the programming sequence Chris told me one time to get it working again, it did once, but wouldn't a second time. And apparently he needed to 'zapp' the module or something, clear it somehow. So i booked it in, and he had it for bout 30 mins, did whatever, extended the remote start time to 1 full second, and it was working fine again (well, except the remote start, which never really worked anyway). The only reason autobahn got involved is that after losing power, just the usual re-programming sequence wasn't enough to get the remote talking to the alarm anymore. They had whatever machine to do that. So i have an ign problem? IGN2? i need to take it to an auto electrician? or someone better than autobahn to have a look at it?
-
wasn't the autobahn guy, it wasn't working before hand (well, rarely) and isn't working after. alarm came from a friend? i dunno originally, just one of the many people who brough in the Viper 791xv in bulk, and then sold them on. Supposedly this guy had contacts at DE so he could buy in bulk cheap, etc, etc... when i search back through the for sale threads for guys selling 791xv's in bulk, everyone was pretty much the same price. i got the full box and everything, warranty cards etc... (prob useless here) wasn't just handed a remote and and some wires. fitted? a friend of a friend. Looks neat, all wrapped in black electrical tape, etc... he even wired it so the mirrors will fold in when i arm the car. He couldn't really figure a way to do it the other way round though. i'm pretty sure on the day he installed it, he tested every aspect, and the remote start was working ok. But now, especially when it's dead cold, there's no chance of it starting. Maybe when it's just finished a long drive. All the autobahn guy did was increase the turn over time to 1 full second, to give it more of a chance to start. i didn't buy it from autobahn, i didn't get it installed at autobahn. does having a low cranking amp battery affect this at all? any other info you need?

2530, Hi-flo R33 Or Hi-flo R34 Neo
SS8_Gohan replied to 123456's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
well a r34 neo turbo on a r34 neo engine gets you full boost at like 2800rpm. don't think you can say the turbo on it's own is the whole problem. you say the split pipe and hi flow cat won't make a big difference? i wouldn't agree there, especially if you have a catback. a full 3" system from turbo back would make a HUGE difference, in terms of power and responsiveness. On an r34 you're looking at about a 30rwkw difference, that's a lot. ahhh... r34 neo turbo at 14psi..... WHAT THE?? -
hi all, my remote start function with my viper alarm has never really worked well, and a guy at autobahn said he fiddled with it, but it hasn't made a difference. basically he increased the crank time to like 1 second, to give it a greater chance to start, but still has the same result. just wondering why my car turns on fine when turing the key, but fails when pressing a button? Basically it will just crank, but not fire. any thoughts? cheers, daniel

Skyline Being Used As A Family Car
SS8_Gohan replied to jeff's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
hahahah, you ricer you. -
Hi all, just wondering if a catback designed for an R33, would be able to fit an R34 without too much hassle? I'd imagine the cars would be fairly similar, but not exact. And REALLY need to know if a catback that was designed for an R33, if it's easily enough modified to fit an R34? cheers, daniel EDIT: this is quite urgent (impending purchase of very hard to find exhaust) so if anyone has some first hand experience with this issue, please post! thanks

^ i think your brother was the issue there
