SS8_Gohan replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in For Sale (Other Items)
ticket has been sold (actually sold it from www.melband.com.au) if anyone was interested... -
so you were caught speeding on a highway... and went to court??

great minds think alike

don't know whether you can ever have too good brakes... could vary from just pads, to rotors, calipers and braided lines... - i think a really good set of pads should very much be something up there with initial mods...

dude, i had this EXACT issue with my R34, but it's manual. It wasn't making full boost in 1st and 2nd, but was fine for 3rd, 4th and 5th. Full boost seems to be a bit past the 3/4 mark on the factory guage, about halfway between the last quarter. now... it was doing this after being rarely driven for bout 20 months... funny thing, it's not doing it anywmore. So i can't really explain what happened for the first week or so where it was being driven every day, after 20 months of practically not being driven at all. didn't really get a definitive answer from my thread about it...

good luck getting your "looks" and "performance" all done for $5k. i'm with thaka, exhaust, suspension/tyres brakes (i'd put suspension above brakes)
-
i saw something once, for NA cars, it's a speaker connected to the throttle somehow, to mimic a blowoff valve  you could change your blow-off valve model if you burnt these sounds to cd... yay! always thought b/o valves were a waste of time unless you had big power anyway...

might need to double check the link and i still haven't forgotten bout my shocks i'm thinking i might do it in 2 stages now... springs/shocks... then the other stuff... that a stupid way of doing it?

Buying A 4 Door R34 Gtt, Need Help.
SS8_Gohan replied to ron's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
if you're gonna import, i can refer ya to the cheapest 34 compliance in OZ if you want differences between 1 and 2 - darker colour rims on S2 - different front bar on S2 - viscous as opposed to helical LSD (or the other way round, i always forget) - different interior trim, more of a two-tone theme in the S2 - aluminium pedals in S2 - more torque in S2 (bout 20nm i think) - power same there are quite a few others, but just can't quite remember all. -
yeah, there were some spy shots of a kitted up infiniti G35 in the U.S. with quad pipes, wider guards too. So does look like the testing is happening, but i REALLY hope that the Skyline/G35 skin is just something to hold all the inside-GTR goodies together, and it will get a different body when officially released. If they've chosen to drop the Skyline name, and not base it off that chasis, there is no need to keep the same design.... i hope...

Hi everyone, Got some standard R34 GT-T rims for sale. From reading other posts these rims fit any Skyline 17", with 225/45 tyres all-round. Rims are in excellent condition, no scuff marks at all. Tyres are about 1500km's old (1000 of that driving from Sydney to Melb, so very easy on the tyres) Due to condition of rims and km's travelled by tyres, looking for $900 - *price is negotiable* pictures soon, but nothing special really, just standard GT-T rims. Located Bayside, Melbourne. cheers, daniel

hey Daz, i remember chatting with ya way back when i was sorting out compliance i think? we both started R34 looking at the same time i think. You go through cross-over? alan yeah, catch up sounds good not many skylines around our areas - what car do ya drive anyway? you seem to be involved with the club quite heavily... i'm sure i'll cya soon yeah, will be good to go to a cruise/meet in a skyline as opposed to a Pulsar altho, i didn't mind using my car as a road block on beach rd as you guys tried to get out of a carpark one day Story for those not interested - broker paid, hunt began April 2004, - car found mid May at dealer outside Tokyo (Aichi) - offically owned car early June 2004 - missed a few boats due to paperwork issues - some storage required at brisbane port due to more paperwork issues - car arrived at compliance workshop late'ish August 2004 - workshop to gain ISO/RAWS approval - estimated 3 month need for the car, looking summer 2004 - delays, delays, delays totalling about 18 months (no need to bore with details) - VicRoads visit, March 29th, 2006 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...&gopid=2065930& if you know anything about varying boost leaves between different gears

R34 - 1st/2nd Gears; Lower Boost Than Other Gears?
SS8_Gohan replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
ok, well at least you guys cleared up the same boost in each gear... i was wondering if the ecu had a lower boost setting for the first 2 gears for whatever stupid reason, i thought that was a bit of a stretch. aftermarket turbo? i'm 99% sure it's not... it was a RAWS test vehicle, so would have to be VERY stock. And never ever mention of it when i bought it, or by compliance workshop. the weird thing is when sometimes 2nd does get the boost needle hitting the 3/4 mark of the stock GT-T boost guage. And i just took it for a spin before and 1st was also getting 3/4 mark!! but then went back to not getting there for 1st and 2nd gears. No trouble as yet for 3,4,5th gears. so the ECU could be playing funny buggers? restricting boost maybe? -
Hi everyone, well, after having the car (R34 GT-T) sit it my garage for 1 year i've finally got it registered! anywho... i think i'm having some boost issues in 1st and 2nd gears? After compliance car was driven from Syd to Melb. Compliance includes new fuel/air/oil filters i believe... will have to double check fuel filter. So it's done 1000km's from that trip and very little driving since until now. So i'm guessing the filters are ok, checked oil as well, looks fine. Now the weird thing with this boost thing is that gears 3, 4 and 5 are a lot more responise and smooth. This shows on the stock boost guage. Gears 1 and 2 will barely or not at all go over '0'. Where as gears 3, 4 and 5 will reach the 3/4 mark easily, and very smoothly. This is accelarting and shifting at the same RPM for each gear, i tried taking each gear to 3000rpm, 3500, 4000, and 4500rpm, same thing. 1st/2nd gears won't get the needle on the stock guage to go over the 0 mark. Now the extra weird thing is that every now and then, VERY rarely, 2nd gear WILL hit the 3/4 mark on the boost guage and different feeling is very noticable. I'm really new to the whole turbo game, so i'm not sure what's happen, but you can tell that 1st/2nd gear don't seem to be quite on song when it comes to boost. Anyways, would love to see what some of you guys'n'gals think cheers chinny
