TAG were at the Olympics... trained real hard for it (no surprise, coming from those guys) - obviously they weren't need but they were there. Thorpy and some other swimmer actually got to go down one day and see them in action. i haven't heard of TAG-E, is it just made up of 4RAR guys? But yeah, TAG/SASR were def at the Olympics. Yes they are mainly stationed over at Swanbourne, but nothing stopping them being stationed anywhere in Oz for specific events is there? ie, Olympics/Comm games, especially a place like Singleton for the Olympics. IF the Black Hawks are being kept down at Hastings, i guess that's where the TAG guys are. I don't know if there would be a need for OAT/SBS?? where as Sydney is a completely different story.... no lights - bar is as pictured. GTR lights have 1 red and 1 white, but as far as i know they are the same size. So you can just pull them from your existing rear bar but if you want to be 100% GTR you'd have to find 1 red one

yeah, when the hell are the JSF's going to be taking over from the Hornet's? couldn't seem to google anything bout the Regiment in hastings, or being used for the Comm games... they're pretty stretched at the moment, especially with Afghanistan and who knows where else they are in the world. i think more the crux of BMW's principles and their marketing, is about 'sheer driving pleasure' - case in point. MX5, is sheer driving pleasure. Not much punch, but a hoot to drive. That's what BMW's are, they're not all insanely quick, but all are great to drive. They stick to their principle of rwd, even in the lower models. They've always had great, solid, responsive chasis's, coupled with a rwd mentality, it's about the driving "experience". Doesn't just mean straight line, it encompases everything. That's why a car like the M3 CSL, with only 265kw's, which some here would be thinking is a little under-done, can still beat a 911 GT3 RS around Winton and other tracks. It's more than just the kw's ppl. And i don't know how ppl are so quick to judge this new engine just cos it has 225kw's? alledgedly? Are we doubting BMW's ability to tune an engine? hello, 265kw's from 3.2 litres, and N/A???

have a look at when i joined, and that will give you an idea wanted a R33 initially then saved up a little longer for a R34 (plus parents did want me to get a R33 when i had just turned 19)

so you had issues with the hole left after the wiper was removed? Man i've got like 7 holes on each rear panel and plus the boot holes so if you manage to get a RWC all VicRoads does it check all the numbers are in order? what if i'm getting a mate at a workshop to do the RWC and he "may" let some things slide, will VicRoads pick up on this? or to them, is a RWC a RWC. What i'm most concerned about is if i haven't got around to respraying the bonnet if i cut it, and it looks mostly black but with bare metal at the end. Structurally it will be fine, but i don't know if they just think it's dodge by the look of it. thanks for the help guys oh, are they that cluey to check if you've still got Xenon's and stuff like that?

hey all, hope you're all well just have some questions re: the first time you rego a car at VicRoads, I understand you have to get a roadworthy certificate first and then take the car down but what's the inspection like when you're down there? I have a few "cosmetic" issues that i'm not sure if i need to fix or not. Mainly... - Holes left by rear spoiler on boot AND rear left/right quarter panels. About 22 holes in total. Currently have black gaffa tape on some of the holes - Potentially, a half stripped back to metal, bonnet. - Aftermarket front bar Everything is will be completely 100% stock standard, cat, headlights to Halogen, rims, all that crap that has be done at compliance time but i'm not sure whether i have to get the spoiler holes fixed or if i cut the bonnet, whether i can rock up to VicRoads with is half stripped back to the metal? Am i allowed an aftermarket front bar at the first time the car is rego'd? any help is very much appreciated cheers, chinny
