Yeah, i'm guessing pretty old as it's a 98 car.. umm... got a pic somewhere.... Carrozzeria FH-P7000MD - Really? So it can't be fixed?? I'm one of the few ppl here that has MD's as their portable music of choice, so i got about 30 discs, and was really happy when i was told it was a CD/MD head unit... I'd really like to have the MD option still.... bugger so the link i posted didn't really resolve the problem at all? EDIT: Tried about 5-6 discs i reckon? I might just give them all a shot... this is really annoying

did you get that car through J-Spec or Prestige?
-
Hi guys'n'gals Having a little trouble with my head unit in that it won't play my MD's - puts up an "Error 17" on my display... anyone come across this on any other Carrozzeria head units? I did a google search and found this link... http://www.geocities.co.jp/MotorCity-Race/...1/dekigoto.html But it's in Japanese, just wondering if anyone is able to decipher what's being said? It seems to mention 'Error 17' but don't know if the problem was solved.. cheers, chinny

Best suspension for R34

cool, thanks for that. How do you find ur setup with the Koni's and Whiteline springs? I know that Whiteline revalve their shocks, so they may start out as Bilstein or Koni's, etc... do u get all ur stuff as part of a whiteline pack? U running all the other stuff as well, from the handling pack? aren't coil-overs a bit harsh for our roads? cheers, -

hahhaah, bit of a whiteline fan i see I think for the limited track time i'll be doing, the Bilstein and Whiteline Springs seems to be the go. So that would be the handling AND sports packs yeah? What u running Bass? cheers -

Performance parts so far.... to go in after rego..

thanks foznice. I hadn't even sat in a R34 before! eheheh, only skyline i had been in was Ni's 32. But yeah as alan said, it really is an experience to drive a powerful car for the first time. I never really gave her heaps... plus had 1 rim in the boot, 3 in the back seat and a mate in the passenger seat, but it's a slight jump from the pulsar, to say the least. I've got the Xenon assembly still, but the low beams are now H1 - Gonna buy BATMBL's Xenon kit, get those puppies back in where they belong. 2 Surprises. 1, i've got a turbo timer , and a 12 CD Stacker in the boot So that was nice. Advan AD07's still have lots of tread, and i'm actuallly like the AVS Model 5's now... will def put them on after the car is regoed. Also helps when the rears are 255's Oh yeah, the traction control button works

Bye bye side bat wings!

Hey Ash, I had to drive down with my mate because he works for the place that owns the trade plate. An employee has to be in the car, them the rules unfortunately. Damn.... R34's rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First ever drive of any kind of Skyline!! Car is f*cking sensational!!! A lot of fun pulling over to the side of the Hume Hwy and legally booting it up to 110 No front numbers plates aren't a bad thing either

hey y'all Well i can finally get my car from the compliance workshop but it hasn't been driven for about 6 months. Got a new battery, cat, brake pads, tyres, etc... but what should i do before i head out back down to Melb? I'm flying up to Sydney tomorrow in the morning, and going to the workshop so are there some things i should be checking? Tyre pressures, oil, coolant, air conditioning, etc? Should i maybe drive it around the workshop area for 10-15mins, bring it back in, have a look and then head back out? It's a R34 GT-T, so i what should i be checking for with the 3 guages? Yeah, just any advice about doing a long trip after a car has been sitting around for a while would be great! cheers, chinny

Operation R34 'Cannonball' run is a go!!! hehehe - Flying up monday, and driving it down - could a mod lock/delete this pls, thanks.

well, now that i've got RACV Total Care, my parents have let me fly up with a mate to drive it down so it's all sorted!! sorry to get you to reply to a thread which doesn't have much importance anymore For "Search" sake, this is what i found out. CarMover: http://www.cartransport.com.au/ $440 - Syd to Melb. Insurance only for fire, theft, collision, etc. Not on the goods in the car. Need about 24-48 hour notice. 3 trucks leaving Sydney weekly. Door - Door. Toll: $420, 48 hours notice, 3-4 days delivery time. Not sure bout insurance SMB (Sydney Melbourne Brisbane): $385 + GST, to not got to depot's in Syd or Melb. Syd depot to Melb depot $245. $315 from workshop to Melb Depot. $385 syd workshp to Port Melbourne. Other places haven't contacted. Finemores, TNT Couriers. cheers, Thanks Moanie, Silver.

i'd like to use companies ppl have used personally themselves, rather than picking a rando out of the yellow pages. but it may come to that. i rang a place called CarMove(r's?) $440, insurance for fire/theft/collision. But NOT for anything in the car. Ie my Advan Rims (advan tyres) turbo timer, exhaust parts, head unit... etc. So that really sucks... if trucking ppl are as bad as wharfies. I called TNT just then Moanie, but their car section is closed till Monday.

Hey y'all, I need some help with transport companies for getting my car from the workshop in Seven Hills (NSW) to Melbourne. Just wondering if anyone knows any good companies, and any details like transport time, insurance, and costs? Can't drive it down on a UVP because i can't get it insured unless it's regoed - A friend had hooked up a trade plate for me (which includes insurance) but idea was shut down by parents so yeah, looks like trucking for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers, chinny
