is that like full-on regulations? Because they were happy to mail me the plate, and for me to get it fitted. I can't rego it without so there is no reason for me to not put it on, if i sell it i'm stuck with an un-registable car. The last thing i want, i want the bloody thing on the road. They said they need the space, and would be happy for the car to be gone... if DOTARS has discussion items that don't require the 'physical' re-inspecting of the car... why can't i take it? they're not going to look at it again? and everything is submitted on the internet? thanks for the help so far... cos i don't really know how this all works... cheers, daniel.

if the DI's are cleared via hard copy or internet, what is the car needed for if they don't come out to check it again? I'm not talking about taking the car for rego, i'm talking about taking the car as soon as it's no longer needed.... i can't see why the car is physically needed if everything is done on the net?? i'm of the understanding the plate will be mailed to be, and i'll organise to put it on. cheers, daniel.

hey y'all finally got a confirmed date for inspection, 9th March and 9am, canberra will be out to check the car out (and workshop?) - supposedly takes up a whole day and almost guaranteed to be discussion items at the end but i've been told it's up to the Engineer to resolve the D.I.'s but via the internet? secure server? So does this mean that the car is no longer required after the inspection day even tho there might be some D.I.'s?? just trying to work out when i can take it.. cheers, daniel.

i love the M3 gear knob which illuminates the H pattern at night time... that's cool but yeah, don't go blowing stupid amounts of money on "Nismo" patterns, just gank the logo from somewhere, print the f*cker out with an H pattern, or just do the whole thing with pen and paper.... don't think it's worth spending lots of $ on...

yeah, my bro's golf you have to push the gear knob DOWN, and then push it up to left, LEFT of where 1st gear is... something like that wouldn't be too easier to figure out if there was no pattern.

turned 21 a few months ago, and i was getting quote $2467 for a R34 GT-T - valued at like $28K i think?? not sure if i got to agreed value bit... but i told them the mods, and it didn't seem to change the premium.. $40K adz????? wtf????? EDIT: that's rating 4, even tho i'm rating 3 with AAMI, Just Cars wouldn't recognise that i started on rating 5 with AAMI. - Might have to try this Vigil mob tho... I thought Just Cars was the cheapest these days for low 20's.

you can keep the standard headlight assembly, just put halogens in with the right wiring and powerpack, apparently quite easy. Keep the xenon bulbs. Don't need to get a new assembly...

- the only place up and running when i bought my car (June '04) was Mobility Engineering, put a deposit down for one of their plates, $5500.

well, R34 prices actually have gone up since i bought mine (well at auction anyway) and i think the cheapest 34 compliance is $4200, but most are $5500. Mine will be about $26K on the road. But 34 prices still seem to be higher than when i was buying. so i at least bought at a good time... but it seems the March date is pretty concrete and to be complete honest i'm on my P's till the end of April and it's over the power/weight ratio, so maybe it's meant to be that i don't have it till i'm practically off my p's... a semi-positive spin...

Fitting/Tuning = $25K? (including airfare for Mines guy) Very, very rough $ and probably highly inaccurate , but how bout them apples Simon. Mines R34 GTR.

R34 GTR VSpec II... then get it sent to mines for the FULL Mines R34 GTR treatmeant! 600hp, titanium exhaust, the works... phat BBS rims... everything... i'm sure it could beat the pants off the Z Tune... and probably wouldn't cost as much either

well f u c k, i was told 3 months by the compliance place..... 3 months wait and save yourself $5500, i thought it was a good deal.... oh well, just gives you more time to get the spoiler and front/rear bumpers ready for me - as said in PM, happy to pay up front for the spoiler now if ya want....

But if you did the process mentioned... buy a normal R34 GTR, compile and then get sent to Nismo for some Z-Tune-ness, technically it wouldn't be one of the 20 tho would it???? Couldn't you buy Z Tunes anyway? Not this limited run, just normally? Maybe find yourself a 2002 Z Tune??

hey Adz (or anyone) do you know if it's possible to wire the power mirrors to fold in when you turn off/arm the car? I remember the noofsta had this but wasn't sure if you can do it on the 34's, reckon danny could do it?

lose your licence??? you must have been really travelling? no offense mate but if you were going quick enough where you think you're gonna lose your licence, maybe it was good you got zapped.... may have saved urself and others from something bad happening later on in your driving life... or maybe you just have 1 point left and anything like 63 will mean u lose your licence...

are you doubting the fact he'll be buying cars like the ones mentioned?????????? i think a signifcantly worked 33 GTR and E class 55 AMG should dispel that myth... but i can't say i know what the flaming was about?
