  1. ooh, been playing with E85?
  2. sorry Bec!! - unfortunately i can't edit now, but will get one of the mods to fix it - my bad! Chris - you done some changes to the car? tune should be spot on otherwise yeah? i mean, wasn't Ben the last person to have it all sorted?
  3. Nismo only made one vented bonnet for the R34 GTR. It was available when they released the R-Tune R34 GTR - they then used this bonnet for the Z-Tune - so technically, there is no such thing as a Z-Tune bonnet, it's an R-Tune bonnet. i'm 99% certain that the copy bonnets from mu-secret/jap warehouse (made by jsai) were copied from a real R-Tune, so just get one of those if you want the real R-Tune style
  4. yeah, that's what i mean. It's not like a normal road EPA test, it's from a greater distance. not sure if i can make Sunday guys might have to give Saturday a crack
  5. i'm pretty sure that 75dba limit is not like how it would be measured for EPA - don't think your car will have a problem.
  6. which day again?
  7. i had to buy some adapters for my ones, but they are genuine Injector Dynamic ID1000's. Be wary of people selling ID1000's when in fact they're just the bosch ev14 or whatever the model number is, a lot of sellers don't care and just call them ID1000's still.
  8. running Racepace adjustable cam gears, picked up 300-400rpm better response and didn't lose any top end. Advanced intake, didn't really touch exhaust i don't think.
  9. i guess you could also try the old, drop the exhaust dyno run check?
  10. $3500 supply, install, tune? seems a bit high? Ecu = $1700 Install = $90 (just say 1 hour, won't need it, it's a plugin for goodness sakes) Tune = $1710 - that's errr.... a lot. even if it's 2 hours labour of install time, which is very generous, that's still a massive tuning bill. You'd be hard pressed to find a tuner who doesn't say how easy it is to tune the Link/Vipecs up. Roy, you could always try Trent, you'd be surprised by how many different ECU's he's played with over the years. If not, i'm sure he could sort it out if you could get the software (but prob not much point if that costs as much as a new Link)
  11. badge on that M-spec does seem to be too far to the left... and the bumper does seem a diff colour Kristian, what have you seen happen with the Nur prices over the years with the 35 been out now for a little while? Ever think the two shall meet? (price-wise)
  12. i did the rev210 mod on my GTT, the metal pipe collapsed. Ok for standard, not ok in a high-flow, higher temp situation. Chasers made me up a full metal intake from airbox to turbo.
  13. i think Rob from RIPS got me the extra harness, which i'm very glad he did because i think you need it if you want to do the flex-fuel setup. It has the digital input channel i believe. Roy, who's tuning? might make a difference if they'll be 'bundling'
  14. lol, yep, sounds like you went the budget option! hahahha
  15. i may have to re-do my colour lol and for the record, the skirts and rear pods are NOT z-tune items. Not even the bonnet is a Z-Tune item (it's an R-Tune bonnet) The only Z-tune body parts are the front bumper and front guards
  16. Chasers west did a custom intake pipe job for my Hypergear on my GTT - nice job
  17. very pov, but an idea at least
  18. completely forgot about this, here's some pics i took the other day
  19. did you look at this? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/13305-local-wreckers-and-workshops/
  20. yes, the end result after the 11ty billion page Vipec thread (and what we all know) Vipec is a rebadged Link. I think it's on the Link website somewhere saying that they (Link) "launched the Vipec brand" etc etc So don't worry about which one can do what... they're the same thing.
  21. http://redbusracing.com.au/?page_id=18 i'm sure these guys will be able to help
  22. looking to get some adjustable arms for the R, prob just camber but may considering other things like caster as well etc last time i had an alignment done, they said it was around -2.5 all around, which they said is about where they would want it anyway but i'm thinking of reducing that a bit for street duties and to save the tyres a bit, then change for track days (don't do many, so alignment costs are too bad) i think the car has some R33 GTR sus parts, LCA from memory, but can't remember exactly. Need to check the specs list again
  23. didn't see the need really... did the baseline E85 tune from a drum of Powerplus to get an exact baseline (which it was, bang on E85), did the 98 and that's it. I mean, i'm not going to change anything depending on the E%, Trent has set that all up and i ain't going to touch that. So constantly seeing the E% would be interesting purely from a curiosity point of view, but for me, not worth the $$ especially when i can just plug the laptop in if i really needed to know (which i will when i get some United) In hind sight, what i should have done and what people should do if setting up flex fuel is to do the 98 tune and a baseline E100 tune. IMO that's obviously going to cover all the variants.
  24. 385rwkw on eflex, 400rwkw on E85 eflex may have been mid 60's though at the time. that's what i was thinking scotty, get some United and just drop in a little 98 if it's like E90 until i get a touch-up - just bring the laptop with me to get the E% reading although, the wideband should richen things up to the target AFR's in normal cruising even if it's E90
  25. ah yes, that douche bag... i think all our cars should have blown up by now or something should have rusted through etc etc *insert scare tactic to justify drum price*... must go down to United soon to check what E% their E85 is... i'm guessing it'll be around E90 like last time they had it pre-floods - even more powah!
