  1. i've heard Ice Performance does a good job (not just servicing, but tuning/mods etc) here's their address: 7 Dissik Street, Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia, 3192. Ph: 03 9512 7591 The guy who owns it (i think) is 'Leewah' on the forums, his name is Dave. cheers.
  2. i've been told about QuickTrac (think that's the name??) and NavTrac, been told NavTrac is better cos there are like 3 satellites monitoring ur car, instead of 1. I think that's right. And also i think NavTrac has a claim that a car with their system installed has never been stolen...but don't know how much of that is just marketing hype tho... I think NavTrac is $1600 to install, including first year monitoring, then $300 a year to keep monitoring. Don't know much about QuickTrac, sorry. cheers.
  3. is HID the same as Xenon?? Or are they 2 different things?? sorry for getting off the topic a bit....
  4. well 1st to 2nd, i can never seem to change real quick, not like 2nd to 3rd, or especially 3rd to 4th. But then again, i've only got a little Nissan Pulsar, it's most probably me but i don't think my manual gearbox is the greatest.
  5. the steptronic in the BMW's are really quite good. Won't always listen to what u want to do if u reving it around 6000-6500rpm, say if ur going 100km/hr and u want to go back to 2nd gear, it won't change straight away. But that's an extreme example, normally driven, they will respond fine. Oh...and they change so quick, i could never change a manual as quick. I reckon they're a lot of fun....yeah it's for ppl who can't drive a manual, but also for ppl who can but can't be bothered. These a mainly business type ppl cars we're talking bout here, so in the city and stuff i guess a manual would sh*t u to tears after a little. The steptronic just alows u to have the kick there from the car, no matter what speed ur at. BMW M3 SMG II, oooo baby... :drooling:
  6. be about 3 weeks ago now Shiro. But it seems that it ain't a GTR from what ppl have been saying. I've seen a white GT-T without a spoiler, but that was down near the beach on Bay St. Could be the same car, but's a fair distance between warrigul and Bay St down by the beach.
  7. yeah, agree with u there dark. I'm going to be 19 (possibly 20) when i get my GT-T, and that's already 206kw, i don't want to increase the figure at all. Not until i've done AT LEAST 1 driving course in it, more likely 2. Not all us P platers wanna get 50000rwkw and wanna 'scandinavian flick' every corner.
  8. too busy enjoying his 450hp me thinks! :burnout:
  9. are the Dunlop FM901's a bit too good for what u want?? I've heard heaps of goods things about those. And some sort of Falken tyres i think...i've never really looked into it as i've only got a pulsar with like 2inch hubcaps, so tyres have never really been an issue
  10. R34's are 1410kg, for the GT-T, but yeah, Ronin's figures are correct for the GTR. What i'm interested in is how a 1410kg 206kw R34 GT-T would go against a 1750kg 240kw XR6-T....how'd u guys reckon that contest would end up? Anyone lucky enough to have driven both? Any comments/thoughts on handling, braking, acceleration, etc, i for one, would find most interesting... :uh-huh: cheers.

hey alex!!! it's chinny from 2001 yr 12! i was out with tuddy last night as he said u'r onto ur second skyline already!! (something about a tree/pole for the first one? ) So u got a GTS-T, or just GTS?? Oh..he also said something about ur bro being in Japan, sending u out cars? ehehe, lucky bastard. My parents wouldn't let me get a skyline this year, so i'm waiting and saving for a R34, cos i wanted to get a R33. oh yeah...the thread [email protected]
  12. didn't get the car thru Geoff Risbey did ya?? he had an 'ice green' skyline on his lists a couple months ago.
  13. that's a real GTR front bar, and if the front guards aren't flared, it ain't gonna fit. 'ylwgtr' was telling me about it. PM him if ya want, he was gonna mould me a R34 GTR front bar. So he might know about what to do with the guards.
  14. yeah, can't u just flare the guards which are already there?? if u can bang something back into shape, can't u bang something into a shape that u want?? here's a R34 GT-T, 4dr which has had the guards flare. Pretty spot on job....well at least i think they've been flared and nothing has been welded or stuck on.
  15. on a white t-shirt ryan...that would definitely look the goods, nice one!
  16. if u want to pm or email the guy who owns it, i think his nick is 'Leewah', just click on the members button up the top, just under the banner and u should find him.
  17. 7 Dissik Street, Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia, 3192. Ph: 03 9512 7591 Heard lots of good things about these guys. go to www.whereis.com.au if u want to find out exactly how to get there from where ever u're coming from. yeah, that's the one i keep seeing, Daikin Exedy Organic. I don't have one, hell, i don't even have a skyline, so i can't tell ya anything about them except a lot of ppl seem to recommend them. cheers.
  18. the clutch thing has been brought up quite a bit and someting "Organic" has been recommended heaps. Do a search for clutch or 'organic', might give u some ideas. Lots of opinions and stuff on different clutches.
  19. BMW's??? oh no..... very sad...
  20. oooooooo....that's nice....i wanna get a set when i get my R34, but i'm not sure if i will be able to justify the cost... no-one makes copies of R34 GTR rims do they??
  21. oohhhhhhh.....that's what i've been doing wrong.....phew, thanks Duncan. :bonk: nice one!
  22. now THAT is pure class. no crazy wings and sh*t, just a damn sexy car. nice post smoothline :uh-huh:
  23. sorry to hear about that, tis very sad. I've had quite a few problems with obtaining my R34 GT-T. I too will be getting one of those novated lease thingies, but i'll own the car, it will just be for the running costs. But the place i work at sorta conflicts with the company i want to go thru, but i've been given some options tho. hope everything works out for u, i'm hoping to get mine in say...6 months, so hopefully we'll be cruising it up with the rest of these 'line guys in 2003. good luck
  24. where exactly did this come from? z forum?...haven't heard of that... go the GT-R's!!
