  1.  thank you though for helping to take an obvious douche bag individual off our roads... yes, hopefully the court does something meaningful about it
  2. i had a look through but must have missed it (EDIT: found a 'there will be no refund after 21/09') i was searching for 'cancel/cancellation' i'm sorry my decision making process for choosing track days is disappointing you matt , but i'll be the first to admit that i'm overly sympathetic from a mechanical standpoint with my cars. If i don't think they're 100%, i'd rather play it safe than sorry. MUCH more-so with this 34 as compared to the last. I'm not a motorsport junkie and i'm obviously not participating in every championship event, so i'm not completely familiar with these days (other than DECA, i've only attended Driver Dynamics days) not that i need to explain it to anyone, or justify anything, but there'll be a workshop visit between now and the event and depending on how that goes obviously depends on whether i can make it, but i also have to weigh up missing out on a spot and getting in early. But seeing as i can get a refund, i'll get in early.
  3. i take it money is gone if you cancel, regardless how much notice you give?
  4. you then ask how many E85 setups they've played with.... i had a GTT before my R, and with a similar sized turbo to what you're planning on running and E85, all i had was a drop-in Walbro. No issues what-so-ever, track days included. save your money, you don't need to spend it on such an elaborate setup
  5. warm water helps open up the MF fibres (if using MF) so as to release more of the dirt particles. Warm/hot water is must IMO, much much better results especially for pre-rinse. I use 2 x CLEAN warm water buckets and 2 x mf mitts, and apply shampoo solution via a pump-pack onto the panel and mitt
  6. i think Midori put it on my Nur, i'll check when get home would be gone by now though, clayed polished etc etc
  7. so as your polishing, the polish is drying? even after you've made a few passes on one spot?? or is it splatter/dusting or sorts that is drying onto the panel? IPA has it's drawbacks, and i hope you diluted it. You're better off getting something like FI Cleanse (light, for smaller cars) have you been spurring your pads?
  8. these days book out quickly? keen to do some more testing with the car and Sandown is obviously a close venue to get too.
  9. wanted too, but missed out. Really like these days, a bit more pricey but HEEAAPPS of track time and as much or as little instruction as you want.
  10. with that setup, not necessary. A decent intank (as above) will be fine. i looked into all of this and even at 400rwkw with E85, the intank Nismo is up to the task.
  11. you need to check a few detailing forums OCD is an understatement sometimes with respects to some details carried out. masking is detailing 101, it's not really to "ensure no grit etc gets caught", it's because when polishing with say a machine, a lot of those badges don't take too kindly to the abrasiveness of a machine pad and polish. It's protection, but it does help avoid polish residue to a certain extent as well. ] ideally if you can, you just take the badges off...
  12. what are your plans? doubt you're going to need it.
  13. ^this. Just go straight to the best.
  14. THANK YOU ORGANISERS, VOLUNTEERS AND IMPORT MONSTER! stunning weather, some stunning cars and driving as well. Loved watching how it's done properly
  15. so for those driving up on sat morning, i remember talk of the meet point usually being BP Wallan? i'm coming from Bayside way so will be jumping on bolte etc and last time i did this we met a group at a servo complex not far into the beginning of the ring rd i believe. but i guess it depends on where you're coming from oh and Google says 2hrs, 45mins to shepparton, sound about right?
  16. i'll be bringing the jerries there's a big holding/carpark type areas so i can't see any reason why you can't top up when needed
  17. is the fire extinguisher bolted to that bolt on the rear seat going to be ok?
  18. except when i got to the end, it couldn't process the payment - will have to ring tmw. the online app was very very clunky, definitely v1.0
  19. sweet, and they've got online renewal too which is nice and handy
  20. just to double check, if i renew my CAMS LS2 that's acceptable for this event yeah?
  21. a bit of a thread dig but... ^ that's what you'd expect at the wharf anyway isn't it?
  22. have one of these in my 34, brilliant clutch. Running 400rwkw and plenty of torque (E85) and all seems fine very streetable clutch that can still handle a fair whack of power/torque
  23. definitely Wheel Tech, although i think Wheel Solution in Richmond have had good success with matching the lip colour/texture on bronze TE37's, it should be an anodised lip yeah? moorabbin is not where you want to go IMO
  24. looked locally? i'd imagine there be a bunch available here on the forums for a start. IMO, have a crack locally first, if no luck, go Japan. unless you're after something really specific, or want to be the first Oz owner. As for import yards? there are just too many dodgy ones. You're better off using a broker, like Iron Chef, to bring one in. In terms of hidden costs, you won't really get any with a good broker. You pay your fee, they do the search, once you find the one you want you just start paying the bills as they're due. They just tell you when, where, who and how much All of which i'm sure would be explained before starting out.
