So essentially i cannot clear the defect until i get the EPA notice as Vicroads has no say on exhaust? which doesn't make much sense relative to the defect notice because in section 7 it says NOTICE TO BE CLEARED AT (any) VICROAD OFFICE - how can i clear it if Vicroads just turns around and says, can't say yay or nay to exhaust mate, sorry. Leave the yellow sticker on.

hmmm.... that's strange... i even rang the constable 2 days after as i said i have to get all this stuff checked anyway for a rwc and could we change it to a warning etc, he said that the paperwork has gone to vicroads and he can't cancel it from there. He never mentioned anything about 'expect EPA letter' or ever mentioned EPA? i think it was just a 'note' he wrote on the defect notice. The main minor point was too low, which it isn't. I told him that you can only check on a flat surface as otherwise you'll get some weird results and sure enough when i got home in my garage to a concrete slab, clearance is ok where his wheel thing got stuck, hence the call to him to cancel notice. So basically Vicroads will just check height etc - does that also mean the defect can't be cleared because it has excessive noise listed and Vicroads has nothing to do with that? what happens if i never get an EPA letter? just realised that the wrong location is written on the notice as well... but i'm highly doubting i can get off on a technicality like that

sorry to tag on before there is a reply herbie, but have a quick q... minor defect, no rwc - excessive noise - only need vicroad clearance. Police advice was just to go down and try my luck, go when it's busy etc (as in, don't change anything, someone was obviously needing some stats that day...) Any point going down without an exhaust test and just say everything has been sorted? do they get you to turn the car on, give it a rev etc? or is it just a yes/no for exhaust test piece of paper?

if you can grab a lift over, you can leave it the night before and then pick it up the following arvo. It's not that far a walk from dandy station, and i'm sure there is a bus that goes closer. i would "think" they would only need 1 day to get it done, so you could prob just hang around whilst it's done if you've got a free day somewhere Best to ask them though.

99% sure they're not standard another one of those surprise mods that aren't listed me thinks... i've got some of those are they CF or plastic? -
can't decide between this one or this one
-
thanks mate :)I don't believe the current owner is a member, car is ACT well, it's been a while since i've contributed to this thread, but i feel like now is an appropriate time after some recent 'additions' to the car

hahaha, hurry up and decide on a car already! ^ the man to thank once again for getting the car here. 19's might help with 'clearance' issues whilst still having a nice looking height, but i do agree that 18's do look that bit tougher perhaps, plus tyres aren't drug money. hahaha, yes, i have grown accustom to them and with the R-tune bonnet and mirrors, they tie in much better now No one would have been willing to pay close to what they were worth anyway how you enjoying the new car!!? Not 100% on the nationals at this stage All genuine Nismo parts - and i thought my previous East Bear kit was expensive! hahahahah - but the R-Tune bonnet is a work of art though, amazing quality Is your RB315DETT running? You do that, but STILL some retarded person decides to come and park next to you! What was wrong with the other 50 billion car spaces away from my car!!! Just picking up a few supplies on the way through to friends

are they Hasemi fins or Nismo GT ones? (on the rear diffuser) -
i was also under the impression the exhaust side was only really an emissions thing, not necessarily performance related - but if the rb25 VCT is up to say 5000rpm, you could then fiddle with the exhaust side from then onwards for a little more top end perhaps?

yeah, sorry, i only put the size in the little sub-heading section rims are 18 x 9.5 +12 i might even come grab em this arvo Aaron, will be heading out to Wheelers H (wheels are currently at Import Monster, switched over to the news ones at their workshop, can be viewed there if you're out that way) give me a chance to give them a clean first before pics They've been sitting around for a while and were quite dusty last time i saw them.

hahhaha, she does get a bit of attention paint is WV2 - i might be biased, but i'm thinking i'd almost would choose WV2 over KV0 (Ztune) - i think the slightly darker shade is a bit more fitting the aggressive look, especially with black rims. thanks for the comments everyone lol @ Hamish, i thought Matt's car was still in Melbourne, still competition getting around Yeah Jamie, all those other body parts have been moved on, had to go genuine Nismo really... wouldn't have seemed right otherwise

Link (and hence Vipec) can control VCT no worries another reason to get a G4

changed rims (sorta ) and my old GT4's are up for sale. They are the Nismo LMGT4 - GT500 Limited Edition (Black), factory satin/matte black, with unique centre cap style. I believe only a couple hundred sets were made, and that was across two different colours as well. Gun metal and black. Cannot be purchased anymore, can only get them if someone is willing to part with them....... I'll get more pics soon, but this on my 34 i have the centre caps sitting in my bedroom, so their road time has been nil at this stage... well at least for Australia that is. Will look great on pratically any R32, R33, R34 GTR of any colour. Or shove em under a GTST-T or GTT.... tough and some other pics i found googling on a 33 nice 34 shot showing unique GT500 centre cap promo pic Doesn't come with tyres, looking around the $3500 mark Cannot get this anymore people, not only one of the best Jap rims every made, but a very special version to boot. Of course forged monoblock goodness as well cheers, daniel

soooo i couldn't help myself, and felt i needed to add my own touch to the car. Midori and the previous owner had already made something very special, and mechanically/performance wise, there really wasn't much else to do! hahaha (well, short of getting a RIPS RB30 or something crazy like that) - I did change ECU's and get the Flex-Fuel going thanks to Trent @ Chequered Tuning, but we only changed the ECU as we couldn't talk to the one in there unfortunately. So, running at 400rwkw on E85, and having more handling performance than i can currently even being to explore due to lack of skills, i moved to the exterior... And really, could it be anything else? - Nismo R-Tune bonnet - Nismo Z-Tune front bumper - Nismo Z-Tune front guards - Craft Sqaure TCA-F Carbon mirrors - Nismo LMGT4 18 x 10.5 +15 w/Advan Neova AD08 tyres (yes, genuine Nismo items) The parts have been on for a while, but whilst Matt was selling his car, i thought i'd keep it quiet so as not to reduce the uniqueness of his beautiful 34 whilst selling - aaaaand then it took a while to get around to taking pictures Paint is off the gun (by DT Panels), nothing else has been touched after painting (as per my request), wet sand and polishing action to come, at the moment it's just a washed car a few days prior to the pics (don't even think there is really any wax left either). Hasn't been detailed in a while. Anyways, hope you get as much enjoyment looking at the pics as i do cheers, daniel

interested in some 34 R Nur seats perhaps?
-
you ...... want ...... one??? j/k i actually sold my middle section from my old GTT to a 33 owner, but i still have the side bits if that's of any help

Vcam is around the $5k mark when i was looking, and then quoted about $1000 for install - then you'd need tuning time but for those getting a workshop to do it it gets $$ because of all the labour involved, even if the parts aren't the expensive. it's the expensive RB26 labour that hurts - cheap as if you can DIY
