Running E85 On My Car Is It Worth It
SS8_Gohan replied to adam Foster's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i'd almost be resigned to put that one into the 'corrodes fuel lines' bin... maybe it's just completely dependent on the car? my GTT NEVER gave me any engine issues other than the normal coilpack issue, so maybe if you just have a healthy engine that's seen good oil, fuel and regular maintenance, it's not an issue. i know i'm not the only one to not have had issues with fuel filters. -
^ no, he's not... i'd contact Access Auto as they had the BSC (or whatever they were called) brake guys right next door - they have some in-house developed brakes on their Evo X from memory, they'll definitely be able to point you in the right direction as well.

Yep, Chequered Tuning (the artist formerly known as Status Tuning) have moved, but it's temporary as far as i know - with Vic Drift Matsuri just gone, it's been a mad house for a lot of people, Trent included, so just hit up the website: www.chequeredtuning.com if you need to contact them

it does seem more black, but would need to see it side-by-side against earlier matte black vinyls just a heads up, you may be asked to become a business trader if you're showing your work with business details in the pics.

How To Get Rid Of Hard Water Marks From Windows
SS8_Gohan replied to Kujotk's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
-clay bar -paint polish whenever i detail the car i always do that on the glass, then of course wax/sealant afterwards - have restored some windows like that but depending how bad it gets, you have to go some of the harder stuff mentioned above. try clay, then paint polish on machine first and see how you go. toothpaste will be a major waste of time, don't even bother -
woh.... thread dig dude! how's the hex stuff compare to the 3m/avery stuff? some of the earlier matte blacks just come out too grey for my liking, need more black

Good Place To Install And Paint Bodykit In Victoria

Running E85 On My Car Is It Worth It
SS8_Gohan replied to adam Foster's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
bit of a myth IMO - my fuel filters were fine, replaced twice during the approx 18months i was on E85, even cut one open to have a look - that's 100% E85 as well, no map changes back to 98 here and there -
Best Street Tyre For Your Buck
SS8_Gohan replied to SLinky-A's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
AD08 is basically the best street tyre you can get, coincidentally, got a set going for cheap, perfect for a GTR otherwise, Kumho Ku36 i found to be great on my prev GTT - needs a bit of heat to work best, but great after that, quite cheap too there's a good tyre sticky thread in the suspension/tyre section that covers a lot of tried brands/models -
Fitting Z Tune R34 Skirts From Jsai- How Hard?
SS8_Gohan replied to brembogtr's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
i think even genuine Nismo skirts are slightly shorter, that's just how they are i think. want a Z-Tune front bumper to go with your skirts brembogtr? got a brand new one here going cheap! -
that would be shipping from Syd to Bris yeah? i had to lol a bit about finding the stuff for sale, only two cars that i know of that have all the EB stuff, one WA and my old car now in ACT. Have a crack at it mate if you can, the EB stuff is QUALITY - had so many compliments about my old car and kit over the years. Panel beater said he didn't have to do anything, just paint and fit, one of the best kits he's ever had to work with You can actually get in contact with PowerPlay? amazed that they're still around and functioning

Whats The Best Way To Remove Dents/scratches
SS8_Gohan replied to R33Keaton's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
try and find a good paintless dent removal (PRD) person in your area, let them fix as much as they can and then head to a panel beater for a quote. If you're down to bare metal unfortunately it's paint time. Depending on how fussy you are/how big the affected area is, you can try a local touch-up or you'll have to respray and depending what part of the car, the panel beater will have to blend in the new paint to the rest of the car. Very important you find a good panel beater -
preferably you want a little rake from front to back, like maybe 10mm? so the back is a touch higher than the front. if you're planning on changing rims, factor that in to your suspension choice. ideally you DON'T just change springs as the standard shocks most likely are not up to the job if you want a proper handling car. Either do both springs/shocks or coilovers or don't do it. i ran Whiteline springs and Bilstein shocks in my last GTT and they were fantastic. I believe there are some decent coilover options around now, but they'll just be decent, not fantastic as there are quite a few entry level options. You get use to being careful with the front bumper. I had about 8cm's clearance on the front of my GT-T and still managed to not destroy the front lip, just take a bit more care and angle angle angle. SWAYBARS FIRST though!

Buying Cars From Interstates
SS8_Gohan replied to ErIC881104's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
use this -> google.com use their maps figure out km's between point a) and point b) VERY roughly work on a figure of 10L/100km (a turbo Skyline in decent condition should easily be able to get this on freeway driving) So you will now know how many litres you need, which will tell you how much $$ you need for petrol and also know how long it will take as google will tell you. I would drive the car if you're not pedantic about putting km's on the car. Transport that far could be quite pricey, more than petrol. got a link to the car? -
crazy!

ATS twin plate carbon clutch is the business lighter than my single plate Jim Berry that was in my GTT - probably can hold more power as well I've gotten use to my R, but titanium exhaust and 12-14kg spring rates, and 2530's don't exactly scream practicality but you what, you just get use to it. There's also something about knowing you're in a car that is SUPREMELY capable. Bucket seats, suspension work and stupid brakes, i think is a fair trade-off for noise and ride quality. You just feel more secure, safer. Well i do anyway

got these but car has AD07's with plenty of meat, and given the km's i do, i'm moving these AD08's on They're still at Import monster, i have not fitted/touched these tyres at all. I paid $1200, but will let go for $1100 - i haven't even gone to see these tyres! lol, i just transferred money, and now i'm selling. Here are the tyres in question Import Monster link http://www.importmonster.com.au/shop/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=22&products_id=1103&osCsid=e29dc36d7e4ceaec3248bdb38baff34c As they're at Import Monster at the moment, interstate shipping can easily be arranged Ready to go, no wait time, already were a great price but knocking another $100 off as i have no need for these. Fantastic price for the best street/semi-track tyre around! cheers, daniel

R34 Gtt Coupe Factory Nizmo Aero Kit
SS8_Gohan replied to rexrxr's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
genuine OEM stuff is relatively rare when it comes to for sale items - plus HEAPS of places do cheap fibreglass knockoffs that fit like shite if you can go plastic bumpers, do it. fit great, paint great and are very sturdy items -
What Is A Short Shifter
SS8_Gohan replied to streetboyz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yep, the Rb25 box is MUCH easier to shift, up and down, gate is really wide on the getrag 6 - i've had to change my heel-toe a bunch to suit (although the brakes have something to do with that as well) but i have to blip the throttle a lot later now compared to the 25. The getrag feels very solid and strong though. I've played with Hamish's gearstick and you can shift with a flick of your pinky, it's crazy. The GTT box you could just slap from say 3rd to 2nd, and not really have to think too much about what you're doing, but the short shifter ontop in Hamish's 33 is very cool. One of the few things i miss about the GTT over the GTR
