wheels are Nismo GT500 GT4's, factory black colour is W something i think? i don't think it's a K colour silver... i think it's the same as some of the S15's - so it is slightly different to the normal R34 silvers. Maybe was only on the Nur's?

Thanks heaps for the comments guys! Mucho appreciated Must have missed you Juliette... went to work around 1:15pm and only came back to move the car out... for the GTT owners, now that i've been lucky enough to have driven both the TT and R, don't underestimate your cars. There was a little period where i had both the R and GTT and it was nice to hope back into Blackie. Great gearboxes (especially if you have the datsun clubs 'dildo' variety shifter ), definitely more responsive than the 26 and just an all around more 'streetable' car. Maybe my R isn't a fair comparison but in an ideal world i would get around in the GTT for most duties, and the R would be kept for the serious stuff They are great cars, with great potential, and now that the new Garret GTX series turbo's are out with greater E85 availability..... fun times indeed that's really the same for any of the rwd 25's. I've come to appreciate them a lot more after driving around in the R for the last little while. i'll get up the gratuitous full sun detailing shots soon

forgot to mention, the front diffuser, if you look closely is not the standard design. This it the Z-Tune design. If you look closely at the pics of a real Z-Tune you'll see the front diffuser is slightly different, there's not holes in the middle section, it's solid across the front. You can't buy Z-Tune diffusers from Nismo, only owners can buy them. I believe JSAI is the only company that makes the real Z-Tune style front diffusers
-
nope, for sale - was going to put a bunch of JSAI stuff on but i was happy with how the car looked when it arrived, so they're up for sale

Hi guys, was collecting parts whilst waiting for my new car but have decided i'll keep the car as is for the time being and let someone else grab these. These are JSAI parts, good quality Australian made items - they are ready to go and you don't have to wait months for something to turn up All brand new, never fitted, just sat in the spare room of the house - i got the skirts/rear pods in case the R i got didn't have them, but it did and i'm happy the way the car is so everything is going! Ok prices, Front bumper: $650 (RRP $695) Front guards: $400 (RRP $440) Carbon Fibre Front diffuser: $590 (RRP $660) Rear pods: $180 (RRP $200) Skirts: $250 (RRP $300) Melb pick-up preferred but can organise interstate shipping as well Brand new items, with some good discounts from RRP - i could just sell at their brand new cost, because if you ordered some there's not going to be any difference, both new. But wouldn't mind clearing some space, and the massive plus, you don't have to WAIT for these items... i'm sure some people know what the wait times for JSAI parts can be like - i've done the waiting for you and added a discount on top! bargain! cheers, daniel

Basti, you mean about detailing it? already has been, attacked it before the S'n'S, but silver doesn't really yield the same results as black does unfortunately. I've got some metallic/flake shots somewhere to show the paint correction though I was secretly hoping it was going to rain on Sunday, would have been fun to see the water slide off the car

oh yeah, same car

for those interested about what replaced the GTT... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Go...me-t344597.html -
hahaha, ahhhh, the Nissan Datsun club

thanks everyone for the kind comments about the car.... not sure if everyone knows it was mine though thanks Ash and co for the organisation - whilst i do agree it's a great venue with plenty around to do, in the interest of pure numbers, i suggest the location is changed - the biggest turn outs have been Como and carribean gardens, as far as i can remember - birramung marr (sp?) was pretty big from memory, may have been restricted entry time, can't remember - just my two cents hahaha, winner by default indeed and for those that weren't there, this random dude just decides to jump into the passenger seat of my car!! f(cking lol!! hahaha - he thought it was like like the freakin motor show or something, i politely told him it was an "interactive display" and then he just walks off! haha, at least try and cover yourself and feign some interest in the car or something hahaha, so so random anyways, besides having to head off to work and Docklands pathetic excuse for traffic management, it was great day. Scott, the 32 R is fair ridiculous! amazing, amazing work... but screw the car, i want to see the damn bus!! hahah

well as some of you know, i did end up selling my beloved GTT - my first Skyline and certainly provided many years of enjoyment since 2006 (technically owned since 2004), from DECA to GOR to the Spur/Reefton, Sandown etc - the car received a fantastic response over the years and really was good to me. Never any major mechanical issues, just coilpacks was the only thing replaced- car was bulletproof and looking back at these brought the sadness of saying goodbye back... The car is now in Canberra, and i met the new owner at Macca's at melb airport a few months ago for the handover... going... going... gone as the new owner hit rev limiter exiting Macca's , that was last i saw of her... maybe one day i'll have her back in the garage a thoroughly disheartening experience, was so sad to see her go tears were indeed shed, i will not lie i know some of you have wondered if i had lost the plot by selling my GTT, or were curious about what i would replace such a beautiful car with? in my mind, i drew a line in the sand about spending anymore money on the GTT when there was a car i still really want to own... i looked locally, whilst there was a lot of choice, there wasn't anything that really stood out or was perfect in one way but too compromised in another. So just like my GTT, i went looking back in the spiritual home of most our cars, Japan. I still at this stage had not 100% decided i was going to get anything (the search began earlier this year) but something ended up catching my eye and the more i looked into it, the more i realised i needed to get this car. I am FAR from an impulse buyer, and usually like to research everything to the small hours of the morning but i saw her and said, that's the one. After an initial scare with other interested parties, the car was secured and on her way to our fair shores. Some know of this car already, some don't, so without further-a-do, i present the new member to the family, my new R34. (i suck at photography, hopefully get some good ones taken soon) There really was only one way i could go after the GT-T and i decided to take the plunge. And as you can see, this 34 is a touch more serious than the previous one 2002 V-Spec II Nur Built by Midori, one of Japan's top GTR workshops and one of a select few to be approved R34 GTR specialists by Nissan Single owner in Japan from new That's the basics, now for the bits i guess most people are interested.... modifications, we received most the receipts for the car, not everything, but have managed to decipher this from the documentation received. A few things need to be sorted before the track work can begin, but can't wait to get it out there and see what she can really do. So far, the grip that can be generated from the little play time i've had is fairly freaky, team cheater indeed Thanks for those who respected my wishes to keep the car on the quiet side for the time being, much appreciated sorry for the essay! cheers, chinny

can i get all my current info changed over to 'chinny'? do i keep my all my stats, post count, join date etc? -
i reckon you could get close to the 30's. considering what mine went for and there was another 34 that went for 28k just the other week (fairly big build, but not as big as yours and no big brakes either, 1998), definitely people around who want a car that has been sorted properly, and yours is way beyond what mine was - i know they are 34's, but it's only a couple years difference but your build is far beyond either of the ones i've mentioned - i reckon you could get a buyer for maybe flat/ low 30's. if she hasn't gone by the end of summer, then you'll probably have to look at price - maybe drop to $35k, leave it be for summer and see how you go

just about to ask about maybe some Macbook air action, but linky above says 'excludes Apple products' - curses!

for those with Ethanol concerns, i ran AMSoil 10w40 in my 34 when it was exclusively on E85, bout 18months. No milky issues etc - no UOA, but didn't seem to be any issues with it at all. And being a Yank oil i had more confidence in it being able to handle Ethanol. I believe it is a Group IV/V blend - i got it from Harold at performancelub.com

just trying to help out the vic members with the other thread, was only going off the warning given yday by the bom - sorry for trying to help
-
i'm not sure we're reading the same BOM report
-
i ran a walbro the whole time i was on E85, 740cc injectors - never any issues, prob about 18months straight of exclusive E85 use - bout the same power as well
-
might sound/look silly, but i had in my old car these big sheet thingies (kinda padded) that i left in the boot for covering car parts/tyres etc that i was moving around, but i would have used in the event of hail if need be. just something to lessen the impact on the panels, better than nothing. if it comes through and you're still awake, make put some towels out on the flat panels? any like shopping areas with covered parking nearby?

For Sale: Built 310rwkw R34
SS8_Gohan replied to .WILKO.'s topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
fantastic price for those modifications. some real quality stuff too - for $28k you're getting a helluva lot i take it it's a 1998? good luck, seems like a fantastic package. -
Just build ABE spec turbo's, don't change anything, do go looking for extra response or power - just build ABE. You should call the turbo 'ABE'. or 'The ABE' - get 5-10 cars running very similar results with the same turbo and then push it. From ABE's graph it's easily comparable to the garett's, so just lock down ONE model. You've done enough R&D for now, you found the best combo in ABE's turbo - now it's time to solidify those results. STOP playing with the specs (for now)
