i believe powerplay imports is the oz distributor for EB i'm barely even driving this car anymore, maybe 1 or 2 trips in the last month. Other than that it's just tucked up in the garage Sheng, even though i haven't sold it, i can get a sense of what it's going to be like It was practically sold a few months ago, price agreed etc, then plugged pulled last minute, he's still hanging around though. Other people said straight out they'd buy it, but financial circumstances change and out they went too. Got someone looking at this this tuesday - most enquiries have been interstate, which obviously makes it hard for viewing. But until people see this car in the flesh, i don't think they realise exactly what the car is about The cool thing is i get the same feedback no-matter which workshop i go to, like Chasers the other day for the compression test saying it's pretty much the nicest GT-T they've see. When you go to places like Chasers and Status, and they say it's one of the best, yu know it's a good benchmark because they would heaps of 34's a year, and more over their life time. kronz, thanks mate even though it's RWD, it certainly doesn't have traction issues like a similar powered commondoor would, that's for sure! -
Nistune is a fantastic piece of kit, an arguably 'safter' than the pfc given what's been discussed already. Obviously your tuner is going to be the biggest safety factor. My car has E85, 98 maps, no issues with either - we even got the Nistune guys to dig up the references for cold start enrichment etc to play with the E85. Helps when the developer has the same type of car Next step might be to get a ethanol content sensor installed in the fuel tank, and have Nistune load up the appropriate map depending on the level of ethanol detected (this is with regards to Caltex's E70 - E85, depending on the time of the year) Definitely give my thumbs up to Nistune.

What Rare/unusual Parts Does Your Car Have?
SS8_Gohan replied to MikeRWK's topic in General Automotive Discussion
East Bear GTS-R body kit (only one other full kitted EB car in oz) GTR V-Spec rear diffuser isn't rare for GTR's of course, but i don't know anyone else running one on a GTT. Called Nissan for shits and giggles and they wanted $10K for a rear diffuser -
Hard To Come By R34 Manual 4door
SS8_Gohan replied to gavgav's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i know where you can get a 2 door, turbo, manual been a few people looking for 4 door, turbo, manuals... might be an import excercise perhaps. Hit up Iron Chef, J-Spec etc.... j-spec.com.au has a pretty uber cool site now (if it's working) maybe have a dig around there. but i think a 2 door is what you're really after -
Best Exhaust For R34 Gt-t?
SS8_Gohan replied to baby34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i got a HKS Super Dragger from a R33 modified to suit my GT-T. You might get sick of the drone of a angled/canon style you're thinking of. I can def recommend the super dragger if you want something nice around town, but still has a very nice note when you've got the boot in. -
yeah, whatever the stock 34 R rims are for, they set VERY nice on a GTT -

R34 Gtr Diffuser On Non Vspec
SS8_Gohan replied to OoskylineoO's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
even the GTT has some similar mounting points, there is this pyramid shaped bracket thing that is used in the middle/end of the car on GTR's, but you could use a few things instead - if we could get one on a GTT without too much drama, GTR will be sweet. They do make quite a bit of difference at 100km/hr+ - good bit of kit. although the ~$10k new price from Nissan is ah.... interesting -
if you CAN keep it, keep it i say. 1000kms a year.... but i'm sure those 1000Ks are fun ones oh and howdy EDIT: sell yours and buy mine

yeah, that's it

jail time wasn't just for the car, he was up for some fraud-related charges apparently as well - something about bail, lost interest in the article at theage.com.au

Price drop! $29,990 in case people haven't been keeping track, E85 is soon to be widely available across oz. This is car is ready to roll for either E85 or 98, and of course maps will be provided along with a USB consult cable to change. And if you really wanted, you can install an ethanol content sensor in the fuel tank and load the correct map accordingly, or have a trick ECU interpolate between two maps In a month or two, this is where it will be available. definitely sus out the options...... when the slacker gets back to work -
some people are holders of said key Manildra (Fueltown) E85 all the way baby! I will prob use Caltex E85 in the warmer months, but only once Trent has had a check over it on the dyno with the fuel in. Even the variance between United and Fueltown needed a little tweaking. But i reckon get something installed in the tank to monitor ethanol levels and get an ECU to modify accordingly (interpolate between two+ maps). Basically how the the flex-fuel cars work. Just need a good enough ecu i guess.

the pricks didn't post my second comment "To Barry Park: Can I convert my existing Commodore to run on E85? No" This is incorrect. Most commodores getting around these days can be converted, and if you got this info to the contrary from Holden, they're basically lying. They posted my first comment in a matter of minutes, but the above has gone MIA - Barry Park is the author. EDIT: tried again, still won't post it the pricks. -
