  1. same type of injector as the Injector Dynamic ones just bigger?
  2. i think Jim may have built it?? not 100% sure -
  3. wow, wouldn't have thought you'd have bought it after this thread. hope you get many happy years of motoring out of it. Congrats on the purchase
  4. a $100'ish SAU winton day sounds great
  5. hey john-e-boi, i got a set of 18 x 9.5 +12 te37's in bronze if you're game
  6. it's a how long is a piece of string question really. what type of driving are we talking? urban only? mix urban and freeway? mostly freeway? on mostly urban with a little bit of freeway, i think the best i got on 98 was around 11.2L/100km with my GT-T. Which was about 440km and then the light clicked on. 350km isn't that horrible if there's some spirited driving in there. Also, we have no idea of modifications, aftermarket ECU etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
  7. size and offset? looks great i reckon. A touch of tyre shine to finish things off and perfecto
  8. and if we're talking specifics, i don't believe Rob tunes Nistune - but if you had a Wolf ecu, Rob would have to be right up there considering how well he knows the product
  9. should see their new alignment machine - "it goes...ping" make sure you mention you're a SAU Vic member, there isn't an official deal going but they definitely look after us
  10. err....... point of this thread??
  11. that's probably a good point to raise, Chequered/Status tuning don't do mechanical anymore - so if it's more than a tune, that might help your decision. I mean, Trent will do 'mechanical' if it relates to tuning your car, but you can't really rock up for a clutch change etc anymore.
  12. hahahaha, is that the year they jumped too! hahah, is that the one with the self drying clothes and crazy nike's?
  13. if you keep good track of when you change your oil, nulon will be fine. You'll just have to be a little extra careful with your intervals and any hard driving. It will breakdown quicker than the true synthetics, but at 5K km intervals, you'll be fine
  14. Birds, hit me up with a PM mate re: purchasing details, i think it's time to give it a shot
  15. hey mate, i "think" i might have what you're after
  16. i've probably got my R34 afm lying around somewhere if you're looking to pick one up - assume it's the same as what you're after just newer?
  17. i can't believe they wouldn't tell you if it was going to be an inspection car?? stranger things have happened i guess. If it is their test vehicle, i hope you're a patient person and yes, don't accept anything but free compliance if it's a test vehicle. Especially if they haven't told you. Hopefully it's just like Phil said, waiting on the next round of plates.
  18. www.finalinspection.com.au and for the detailing forum, Detail Addiction forums.finalinspection.com.au FI pretty much has every product you'll ever need for your car
  19. definitely not. These aren't your off the shelf autobarn products silicone is nasty, and that goes for the solvent laden products you find about the place (especially the service station sold F1W or whatever it is)
  20. highly recommend Final Inspections sealant range if you want protection. If your car lives outside a lot, go for FI Seal Strong (1 year), but if the opposite, FI Seal would be fine and a cheaper alternative. You can multi layers of Seal like i have which would give you plenty of protection. I've got about 4 layers down now and this would see out 12months i would think, with good washing procedure. But Seal Strong is definitely a much beefier option straight off the first layer. Both can be topped with your Carnauba wax of choice for a depth and gloss, and it looks like you have a dark coloured GTR, so this would work nicely. But prep is key, at the bare minimum clay your car first.
  21. if you have a low car, be careful with the a little dip before the underground bit, just before you get into the covered parking area.
  22. yeah, especially the bonnet.
  23. i think you need to make a distinction between what RP 'offers'. RP has a Group V oil, XPR i believe, which is the Redline/Motul 300V competitor i suppose, and there is a Group IV (and i think some groupIII mixed in) oil, which is more the standard one at a good price point. I haven't used XPR because it's $$$, i have used the normal one. I stick with the yank ones as they are ok with Ethanol/Methanol. But apparently the Sougi Group V is ok with ethanol as well????
  24. i thought i saw this on carsales, how can it be in the UK? v-spec II bonnet is FULL dry carbon, this would be fibreglass with CF overlay... maybe a JS Auto item? Not sure why you'd change, unless getting a gen Nismo R-Tune even though it says nismo 'style' i don't think they ever made raised rear spoiler uprights it's weird that the seller has mentioned nismo 'style' for other items, yet fails to mention that the rear tailight LED's are also knock-offs and not genuine. You can tell by the clear inserts, they're the ebay ones. and does the stock diffuser match up with that front lip??
