  1. 135i some 3 diesel maybe 335i M3 M6 and maybe some others in there
  2. heading down to PI tomorrow for a BMW driver training day. Forecast is for rain (not showers, rain) and high winds. Anyone got any tips for like.... you know.... staying alive so like, 1:40's yeah?
  3. dooo eeet it's worth the drive if it's a bit aways from you. If it's not a daily driver, just take the car and 2 x 20l jerrys with you. Use to drive about 50mins to get my E85, now it's 5 mins up the road. karma but i guess not too handy if it's a daily. how many kms are we talking gwilkinson?
  4. they're just bilstein shocks with extra circlip grooves to adjust the height. It's not like you'd pop the bonnet and see something sticking out of the strut towers, so if you raised the car, i don't think you'd know they were adjustable in the typical sense.
  5. yeah, only 1 intake mod, that's why i put a return flow FMIC in so i can run the stock airbox with highflow filter. would it be that hard to rego? it's definitely quiet enough, no hole cut FMIC (return flow), turbo looks stock, can't see injectors/pump/afm - nistune will read like a stock ecu when plugging in a consult, brakes lines are ADR - i guess the only thing possibly is height, but the suspension is adjustable so that's an easy fix. I don't know the ACT rules but i can't see there being any major problems?
  6. hi guys, just a quick one. Someone from ACT called me this morning about the car and asked if i could get a road worthy certificate, i said that's fine but I was under the impression that if the car went interstate, a VIC RWC is not actually going to mean anything?? Wouldn't it have to get the equivalent for whatever state/territory it's going to? cheers, daniel
  7. again, thanks to Tharaka of 'Both Hands' graphic design for the shots
  8. understatement of the year me thinks, these are very rare. Display1, snap up the 9.5's - great buy with some great tyres too
  9. i like the offset look, and unfortunately it would just look weird with the EB badge. It's the GTS-R badge and is meant to sit central in the front grille but it it just looks like an R badge, same as having it on the boot lid, it's too hard to see the 'S', so it just looks like a GTR badge. I still have the original East Bear stickers as well, actually a variety of EB stickers came with it and the badge of course but wasn't really my thing really. I prefer a cleaner look, hence no nissan badge on the bootlid etc. new owner will get all the stickers, badge if they want to use them I'd be really nice if it stayed on SAU, that's for sure
  10. hence the term 'flex'. they can handle pretty much anything, except maybe E100 The E70 would come from the north american winter mixes requiring more petrol to help with the coldstarts. It's not believe to be as much of an issue here, and PowerPlus E85 have committed to 85% year round as they don't believe the temps dictate a winter mix. Unfortunately the major player, Caltex, have said they'll have variance in their E85, hopefully this is not the case. United i'm not sure, but as far as i know, remains 85% year round as well. But it's s lightly inferior fuel compared to PowerPlus. Scotty, are you running Nistune? How you been finding the cold mornings and what plugs you running?
  11. Motul are perhaps being extra cautious. Have you done any UOAs with 300v? who exactly told you about the compatibility of Sougi and E85?
  12. yeah motul recommend not to use the 300V with it the only downer with Sougi S is that it's being discontinued Birds on here is a distributor, don't know if he can do better prices. But yeah, crazy cheap for a group V oil.
  13. is it possible to 'reserve' chinny? EDIT: i realise this is a silly request, i'll just sign up with it now, my bad
  14. yeah, they have the stands outside more than likely for a place to work but no, not drying first question, what's your budget? And JET BLACK will require a fair whack of time and effort to maintain. If you can't be assed AT LEAST go metallic. EDIT: thanks Charles still getting comments on your b-pillars - one guy was like 'phwoar, are they dry carbon!?' lol
  15. how far is campbellfield from you? you could just take it Final Inspection but if the car isn't drivable... i'd like to know as well Did Jim's mowing branch out into a car cleaning franchise? might be an option EDIT: it seems they did http://www.jimscleaning.net.au/index.php?/car-cleaning/
  16. very interesting, undetectable dectectors and hardwired detectors.... i have some googling to do
  17. yep, that carpark looks pretty "torn up" to me
  18. even to compete though... must be pushing out some serious numbers the GTR
  19. would be nice to keep it within the SAU community
  20. yeah, but it sounds like something that can happen relatively easily... hence Ash's comment still is food for thought
  21. nismo blade is full dry carbon - the bonnets you're referring to are fibreglass with 1 or 2 sheets of cf ontop - huge difference, and hence, huge difference in price. full dry carbon parts are ultra $$ regardless of size/shape etc
  22. you might want to check the rules about ebay links, not sure if you can link
  23. talking about Hampton St? Bossy Boots Cafe in Bay St, Brighton do some amazing cakes. They have a separate cake menu, but can make you pretty much anything you want. I highly recommend the chocolate ganache/caramel cake
  24. thanks Kronz, appreciate the comment cheers dude, i'll see if Tharaka of 'Both Hands' graphic design (who took the shots) can provide some bigger ones.
