the mob at southland gave me some details to the garage next door, some guy name tom , who will be doing flex fuel conversions... didn't get any specifics last time i filled up. reckon the Nistune will handle a 'flex' option Trent?

if you don't know what you're talking about, don't put mis-information in the thread. Wet-sanding is not "bullshit" and is DEFINITELY required in some instances, both on polycarb and sometimes on the actual bodywork if need be. in regards to the time intervals.... do it properly once and you won't have to do it again for a LONG time. Saves you time and money.

20 months on and mine are clear as. Why not use a SAU Vic supporter in Final Inspection? Get the car detailed, headlights done at the same time and you're good to go. I still recommend to people, paint polish and a MACHINE, not a 'hand job' will give you the results you really want. Some headlights do require a wetsand if really bad, but most times, you can just attack with paint polish and a machine. Keep them waxed and you shouldn't have an issue for a long time IF corrected properly in the first place. If the FI gallery wasn't down, i'd show you what can be done with paint polish and a machine ... Damian took some great shots...

nissan clear is quite soft, as are most of the jap cars. If you buy a new car (by new i mean second hand) and it's paint is fairly rooted, just get a pro to fix it up once for you and then learn how to look after it from there on it. So basically you'll be back to a relatively imperfection free paint and it makes it much easier for you to manage for there on in.

don't think the price of the car really has much, if any connection, with it's reliability... hello ferrari reputation? case in point, currrent gen M5... guarantee you has had MANY more gearbox failures over the same period as the GTR (ie, first 2-3 years of product life) and this car is what... $180-200K? notorious for gearbox problems... not to mention the $1k sparkplugs

could you have done what RacePace did and just use a PowerFC? don't know how many drama's they had... but didn't seem as bad judging from tangomatt's thread?

i have the beefiest Jim Berry in mine - compared to a stock GTT clutch it's definitely firmer but not noticeable now and i don't think any issues in traffic. not sure if there is a real need to blow massive money on Jap items when you have 3 good clutch builders here in oz for less money. Jim Berry, NPC and Direct Clutch - i'd go either JB/NPC personally.

would all the writers of photoshop please f*ck off out of the thread please, ok, kthxbye Eugene, are you like all professional and trader like now? i noticed the new name... and something you or others might know... i noticed that some TV2 R's have a black engine bay. Obviously GV1 has a black engine bay, and i think MP II/III does as well....but i have seem some TV2's with black as well, was this a year thing?

i spent hours trying to find those seats!!!! i was researching interiors, and came across a pic of a lambo with them and forgot the name. New it was tech something... - did find out in the end what they were, and saw the parts list of the same company, they make some tasty stuff.. thought they were just lambo specific.... stunning, stunning seats.... i agree with what others have said. This is easily the best tuned GTR going around, period.

new joint i found in morrabbin - Paintwerks Owner DEFINITELY knows his stuff. Had a good chat about detailing as well, of which he was also very clued in. More than DT, but would be a step up as well. So if you're looking for that little something more, i'd hit them up for a quote.

i keep 2 x 20L jerry's of E85 in my garage when i got fuel from hoppers... emphasis on past tense! i now believe in karma after driving out to hoppers i don't know how many times (i live bayside melbourne) to get my E85 and fill up some jerry cans, jeebus has bestowed upon me a E85 servo 5mins up the road, literally. Bay rd pretty much connects my house and the servo, could not believe it when Hamish mentioned this in his thread. I have filled the car up a couple nights ago at fueltown, had a good chat with the attendant as well. E85 pump is padlocked as well Didn't smell quite as sweet as Hoppers i didn't think, but after driving the car home and 'testing' the new fuel, my car is still in one piece. I conclude the fuel is much good still can't believe it really, of all the places!!

Help Me Blow Money On A New Pc Build!

someone told me about centrecom, and their pricing is very similar to msy but they seem to have a lot bigger range. They said they can back date invoices up until around Jan 15th. going to email one of the sales guys there with what's in this thread plus some of my other thoughts about items, and he'll see if he can price match msy as well. Ash and others have given great advice but i've been asking other people as well, and i think i have definitely overloaded myself with info (tom's hardware, etc) - and there are still some things i want to check out like the 80 Plus PSU's, which are meant to be a little 'greener', which sounded interesting. msy won't back date invoices... not much of a surprise really -

should i just buy a whole bunch of stuff tomorrow, that's close enough to what i want, just so i can get an invoice for 31st Dec, 09, to satisfy the tax break, and then maybe nut it out a bit more after that when i have the luxury of time and just not open/install anything? -

had a bit of a read over at cgsociety.org and the general consensus is that even an 'OK'/mid level gamer card will do just fine for 3D work. Unless i get a workstation card (which again, from reading over there don't seem to even make a huge difference now with the some of the high end gaming cards on offer) i probably could save some money on the graphics card, and maybe get more RAM. There's talk of graphics cards being able to do real time rendering soon, but it's not really available yet, so until that happens, maybe i should just go for a middle of the road graphics card and maybe go 12gb ram instead of 6gb? That case that you said is super quiet sounds like the ticket. I take it it doesn't have the blue lights unless you put them in yourself? So i take it a 'mid tower' type case is going to suffice?
