  1. for postage try transdirect.com.au - could be surprised at the price and why aren't these in the car parts section? you'd get much better viewing there. Plus i know they are stock bumpers, but they are genuine plastic items, don't give them away
  2. was checking the prices of all the wreckers, they want about $650 for front rotors/calipers - even 33 front sets seem to be around the $500-$550 mark
  3. if that's edge sport, then it's even worse at it's not even synthetic. If you car saw the track all the time, maybe, but 10w60 is silly for the street. I change between 0w30 and 5w30, 85K car with no changes to oil cooling (Most likely more) - You buy a real good oil like, Motul 300V, Redline, etc.. you choose a nice close number (the larger the difference, the more the oil is compromised from the start, to a small extent) For a street car where do you want the most protection? At start up and cold temps. So why run something as thick as 15w50? Oil theories have changed a lot since our cars were made and it doesn't mean we can't take advantages of those advances even if our cars are on the older side.
  4. been doing a bit of searching, but haven't come up with many answers, so i'd thought i'd ask you guys. R34 GTT front brake upgrade... how much have you guys paid? So this would be calipers and rotors. Looking at my upgrade options, but really not sure what i could get for my stock front rotors/calipers and my stock rear rotors. cheers, daniel
  5. if you read the link, these seats come WITH rails, already in the price. Might be a little work to get them to fit, but it says seats come with rails. At that price, with rails, i'm very keen to see what people think about them in real life
  6. i think i was going overboard with "all ADR lines", but this is what came up with the brakewest group buy. And i did confirm this at the time, and that's why they started offering a CAMS approved line. Maybe it was just the way that brakewest did their ADR lines? I then mistakenly applied that to all ADR lines, but i know i did confirm a performance application difference between the two from brakewest at least. i'll see if i can dig the details out of the group buy
  7. 15w50 = too thick for a street car i get all the fluids i need from... www.performancelub.com - surpised it's not more well known. where to people get their UOA's done and how much?
  8. if they truly are good tuners, in all respects, they wouldn't do that. No need to be elitist.
  9. ADR are NOT suited for any sort of serious track work. Please be VERY careful if tracking your ADR lines hard. EDIT: from BrakeWest anyway... that's why they have a CAMS approved braided line
  10. try 335rwhp (and more)
  11. to the OP, how many tuner options do you have? and are there some really well known ones that you're willing to travel a bit to get to that might be able to offer a lot more ECU options for you?
  12. great point, which can be equally applied to ANY mods. I have fallen over here numerous times . ok ok... i'm confused... which came first Link or Vipec?
  13. only threads i found were freddy or custom carbon which now doesn't seem to be in existence. most those threads were ~2 years old as well. Femno talked about 'jetspeed' but that was like a 2007 thread and i would not be game getting them to do anything. so yah... search didn't reveal much besides Freddy and i'm interested to see if there is anyone new on the scene that i don't know about
  14. I'm well aware of Freddy @ Top Stage, good guy, chatted to him a few times. I could very well end up there but just looking at other options for people who do custom fibreglass/carbon fibre work. All i know of is Freddy and that's it. Not a huge job, will be a relatively small piece in the end (exterior) but always nice to know what other options there are cheers, chinny
  15. a game man to buy from a yard, very game... private sale, if can't find, import. IMO EDIT: just looked a both, and wouldn't buy either. Very pricey and neither have the front lower lip, which i'm guarantee you'll want at some stage. V-Spec didn't "appear" to have rear diffuser either. If SSV is the place i'm thinking of..... ah yeah.... say no more... the black one looks like they could have brought it in for high 30's. i'm still sticking with private sale, if not, import. or go nuts on the GTT and buy my injectors
  16. hahaha, i must be in the sweet, sweet spot then, 285rwkw and PM-R33, i guess i was referring to the basic bolt-on stuff. As i said at the end of my last post, "unless you want to go poncams..." etc etc... your engine is partly built, and bombtrack has poncams and exhaust cam gear. on a bit of a side note, as there are quite a few of us in the thread with similar power, what do you guys think would be the a suitable brake package to compliment the sorts of power #'s we're talking about?
  17. The National Golf Club (hour a bit from Melbourne) there was not one, but TWO parked right next to each other with very similar plates. 'GTTR' and 'GTTTR' - black and red i think. Please tell me you're members!
  18. what rwkw were you running with that cooler?
  19. if the JB second hand one didn't come up, i was tempted to try Direct Clutch or NPC. I reckon a not-so beefy JB clutch would be fine too. Have you read the 'need a clutch?' thread up top?
  20. i've always worked on roughly a 40-50rwkw drive train loss (never really know if it's a constant number or a percentage of the fly power) krishy, i was thinking similar to you but the reality is that 250-270rwkw from any turbo won't see "close" stock response, unfortunately it won't happen. My stock turbo was all in by 2800rpm i think, maybe even a little earlier, i'm now at 3700rpm. It's not a direct comparison because i'm running a lot more boost now but even at say stock'ish boost levels of 12psi, i would only expect full boost at 3500rpm at best. Don't get me wrong, it's still responsive, but in 33's, 34's you are sub 3000rpm full boost stock unless you wanted to go poncams and cam gears to shift everything towards response, then you'd be close
  21. it's in and forgotten what stock feels like it was definitely harder then stock and a shorter travel, but still heaps of travel though. It's probably the beefiest JB clutch though, which is probably the reason mine doesn't feel like stock where-as other people reckon their JB clutches feel like stock. Car is running 285rwkw now, and you can try it out if you like. From what i read/researched, the Exedy will die on you. I would just get one of the QLD clutch places to make you exactly what you want as opposed to worrying about the brand name stuff. That's just my opinion. I actually got my JB clutch from a wrecked R33 GTR, had travelled 80km's but was a fair bit cheaper than retail So price i paid isn't going to help. Just use the quotes i got from my prev post
  22. if E85 has 70% less emissions, etc... could you run a big flowing cat, that doesn't pass EPA, but claim it would be fine given the fuel being used? i'm thinking wishful thinking... but also think that if it's tested, you'd still be good?
  23. thanks mate, i did come across that thread but doesn't appear as if anyone has posted who has bought one, and the thread itself seems to be more orientated to the other style seats. Steve does mention the SPR ones, but i can't seem to find a thread with someone who's bought one and their thoughts on it
  24. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has bought this bucket seat from Just Jap before? specifically this one... http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=282&page=1 if any melb peeps have one, i'd be keen to check it out It's hard to tell from pics how much it will grip/hug etc... cheers, daniel
