The Ultimate Gt3540 Powered Street Rb30?
SS8_Gohan replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
*looks at my dyno graph* .... why must you show us these things!!! muchos kudos to the owner -
Speak to Trent @ Status Tuning, he's had a play with some, i think he had some good things to say about them as well. But he can also tune all the other ECU's mentioned in this thread, so he could give you an unbiased opinion on which one would suit you. Do you have a powerfc already?

cheers mate. I'm probably not going to risk heading out now, knowing my luck i'll be pulled over and then get pinged for other things i'll play with the ballasts and globes on the weekend, just to make sure it is the globe and then give ya a buzz. Would it be ok to pop round on say Monday/Tuesday if i still need the globe?

hey Troy you're out over in Tulla still aren't ya? you live out west as well? the plan was, if i could try one out for tonight's cruise, then great... but if i couldn't get one tonight then there isn't any particular rush. Not sure it's that feasible to head out through the city now, then back through the city... i guess it's possible... You got a spare one or would i be borrowing stuff from the yellow panda again people still comment on your bonnet handy work mate, they're like "phwoar, that's neat... who did that?"

hi all as per title... after all my handy work and that of a friends getting my headlights back to OEM Xenon, my right headlight just blew! D2R globes are getting on a bit these days (second hand ones at least) so the ones i've put in may have seen quite a few hours use. i know this is an incredibly long shot, but if anyone has any D2R globes lying around, i'd happily taken 1 or some of your hands was kinda keen on heading to the pizza cruise tonight...

clean your rims properly once. Then each week... 1) wet rims (HP rinse preferable) 2) spray PWC 3) let it dwell for a bit 4) HP rinse that's it. PWC will get rid of weekly build up without breaking a sweat. Even if you don't have time to wash the entire car, just do the rims. Clean rims and glass can do wonders if you're in a rush.

Rb25 Det Neo Stock Turbo, Power Handle?

Trent is in sth dandy, rodeo drive. Easy as to get to (whereis.com.au 63 rodeo dr, south dandy) Sam,aka Dr Drift is out in Brooklyn. So you got one place west'ish and one place south east'ish. Have you rung around for prices? All i can say is that i'm a very happy camper with Status Tuning's work and the service they provide. And even if i had the choice of a cheap power fc, i'd still go remap. Car runs/starts really well in all conditions and has been returning good fuel economy, and on my recent big drive, returning some great fuel economy. -
cool, thanks for that mate would you say track time is comparable between the DD days and these WRX ones?

go Remap, great stuff. Got my R34 remapped at Status Tuning. Trent will sort ya out -
no thanks. Been to Race Brakes before and will never go back. Harold was a tool, the guy working on my car chipped my rim getting one of the caps off, and basically i was told to run some $600 a pair Endless Ceramic pad to fix my supposed brake issues. So much for a supposed SAU Vic sponsor And from a few people i've heard the opposite, the DBA's aren't much chop and to go RDA's. And considering how many people have gone through the Group Buys for the RDA rotors, surely a bunch of people would have problems by now if there were issues with them. I think i'll probably just go with he Group Buy RDA's in GTT size, keep my QFM A1RM pads i've got now (very similar compound to the RB74's i believe, but cheaper) and perhaps call it a day. Maybe get some braided lines as well. Already got a brake stopper thingy. thanks for all the help guys

thanks guys i should have read the pdf's more carefully so is it cheaper because you get less track time? i take it you still get to participate in the timed events? how would this compare to say the Driver Dynamics open pit days? Those days are instruction days as well but they're around $260
-
just looking at the form, there is a tick box for entry fee and one for driver training. does that mean if you want driver training it's an extra $145 ontop of the $185? or you have to tick one or the other and if you tick driver training, it's a slightly restricted day? EDIT: i should read everything first... "5. Driver Training Group “Driver Training Group” sessions are a separate group in this event and Drivers participate only in this group and pay the reduced entry fee. For this component of the event, the following will apply to all drivers: • There will be a separate Novice Group briefing and attendance of all drivers participating in this component is mandatory. • the club will provide a Driving Advisor / Instructor for each Driver • Overtaking is not expected or encouraged in the ordinary course of this component of the event. If overtaking is required it must be done in a safe and cautious manner. Those drivers who overtake in a dangerous manner will be reported immediately to the Clerk Of Course and subject to penalties (which can include exclusion from the event). Those drivers who are being overtaken must indicate by pointing to the side they wish to be overtaken and maintain their line. The responsibility for the overtaking manoeuvre rests with the overtaking vehicle. • Drivers who wish the Driver Advisor / Instructor to drive their vehicle in this component do so entirely at their own risk." Do we know who the instructors will be?

any of you guys (Melb GTR owners) have the plates 'KKGTR'?
-
if the cars been remapped, have you asked Trent about looking at that? might be able to sell the emanage, get the remap fixed up and have some money to buy some other supporting mods?
-
thanks for the responses guys I was told i could using something called "dogbones"? that mean anything to anyone? There wasn't much of a price difference between the GTT and GTR rotors, so that got me keen. I think it was mid $400's all up? (4 discs) Sounds like it would be too much $$ to make the brackets. Thanks for the info

VicRoads says 'C' whatever roads are sealed. So should be ok Now, Reefton or Black Spur... forgot about Reefton
