  1. bring a laptop or tablet etc if you can when you pick it up, compare photos to car condition - DO NOT LEAVE unless you're 100% happy, will just be harder to chase anything else up if you need to (so don't pick it up 5mins before closing time either if you can avoid it, so you can take your time sorting anything out) hope all goes well
  2. take (or get taken) a HEAP of photos of all 4 rims, front/rear diffusers (particularly front) and lots of pics of 'likely effected' panels, doors, front/rear bumpers. And of course the most accurate odo reading you can get (if it gives you 500.xx km etc, get it exactly) i wish you the best with the CEVA lottery
  3. ID range of injectors are tried and tested, not sure if available for 35 (almost certainly think they would be) as for people testing their own fuels, i've noticed those test kits always seem to read much higher than those of us with ethanol sensors... not exactly sure why this is. Most people doing test kit stuff are reading mid 90's, but those with sensors are showing United to be very close to the mark for 85% (i've only seen 82-85% variance, never more than 85% - i've noticed though that NSW peeps have had some higher and lower readings). I also found Caltex to be bang on E70 all the time i was using it before United was up and running. Word is that they're going to their summer blend end of Nov (but also other rumours they've scrapped this) - i might run a tank or two early Dec to check - be nice to have more more true E85 options Although as Sam said, Melbourne is actually pretty spoilt for choice comparatively
  4. dude, Hadouken wasn't even having a go at you, he was commenting on the Canadian GTR vid posted above. You're (as in 'you are') taking swipes at people who aren't even talking about you. If you honestly don't care, you certainly have a funny way of showing it.... and as for that Canadian GTR, in the link posted to the GTR forum... it says 94 octane, not VP 109, so about 98-100 here.... 470rwkw.... that's seriously impressive! Only 21psi as well!! That's a farken good effort as we know the numbers are legit. *goes to have a word with my 26*
  5. ah ok, that makes more sense. 180'ish sounds much more normal - and yes, same thickness across all panels is a good indication that is how it's meant to be.... but could also mean the whole car has been resprayed would be interesting to see other TV2 readings, see if they are all that thick
  6. as long as the ps haltech can take a digital input, any sensor will be fine - and to be honest, i don't even know if you need the digital sensor? a 0-5v might be do-able? but yeah, digital input... you're sweet afaik
  7. don't have a jack or verniers, and cbf using little jack in boot....
  8. Hi all, does anyone know what size hub ring i would need for my 34 R with Nismo GT4's? (18 x 10.5, +15) 73.1 x 66.6mm seems like a common size i'm coming across with searches and results re: Rays rims (te37's etc) - but would like to double check I had them with my old Te-37's (not sure where those rings are either) but just realised i don't run them on my GT4's, wouldn't mind getting some back on. cheers, daniel
  9. Terry, a number that high would suggest that panel has been painted (after factory) at some point. Not necessarily all paint either, could be a lot of primer etc... Matt: the first vid, i'm thinking... oh hey, that's Paul Dalton... looks heaps similar side on! but then you talk about a US guy.... You've seen Damian's F40 work haven't you? they did a big job on that... cleaned the coilovers with cotton ear bud things etc... pretty cool EDIT: that clay video is.... interesting... i'm assuming he's going to be paint correcting after, but getting stuck into it like that would have induced some marring, but what was more interesting is how thin he gets his clay before claying? and afterwards it's got holes in it it's that thin.... definitely different. Not something that i would show someone how to do, but he's obviously got his reasons as it's his full-time profession... just haven't see that before though
  10. word is end of November Caltex will actually switch to a summer blend of 85% ethanol (which they didn't last year) - first week of Dec i'll run a tank or two and let everyone know what % it is - when i was using Caltex before united was up and running again, they were very consistent between outlets, everyone bang on E70
  11. official word from Caltex as far as i know... we'll all know in a couple weeks when i or someone else with a sensor tries a tank
  12. you can also check if some of the bigger workshops have engines ready to go - they'll get customers from time-to-time who start a build, but can't finish or it gets built but they can't afford the settle the whole thing. Racepace could certainly build a very reliable 26 (or stroker) for the budget your friend has. That's most the building they do, 26's or variations of. RIPS would be an uber reliable job, but you'd be soo tempted to go RB30, might be more effort than your friend wants to go into. Can't see any reason why their 26's wouldn't be as reliable.
  13. Caltex is going 85% ethanol as of end of November apparently - i'll be getting a tank or two to test this... if they do, then Melbourne will have a HEAP of true E85 options
  14. yeah, they've changed the way you search for outlets, pretty shitty change... NSW seems to be Rozelle Dee Why Drummoyne East Blaxland Conversely, just had another look at Melbourne outlets... got a stack more! :D :D
  15. great to see more and more flex setups!!
  16. myself and Paul (piggaz) are running plug-in G4's -
  17. weird how Syd seems to vary more, and seems to be more on the high side? my united has been bang on E85 last few times, and before that it generally was 82-83 - but it's still been a very tight range.
  18. it's low but not that low, and the suspension place said the same thing. It looks low'ish but in terms of geometry etc it's THAT low... that's why i'm a little confused.... - if anything, i'd probably want to drop it some more
  19. just an update... pulled trigger on a set of Cusco arms front and rear. Perfect fit (as expected) no farking around, but some issues though.... can't seem to run less than -3 camber no the front - rear is set about -1 which is about right for street for me, but as much as the turn-in is freaking nice with the current setup, i got adjustable arms hoping i could run street'ish camber and cranking some more neg in when needed. is this normal for cusco arms? are they just that much shorter that you can't actually get 'a little' camber? i was kinda thinking like -1.5. on the fronts....
  20. nothing Damian @ Final Inspection can't fix - should take it to him for a detail now that you've taken delivery - he can sort out the headlights as part of the detail too
  21. Race Pace make some great adjustable cam gears, they modified the stock ones and from i understand, it's a more durable base to start from. You could go that route, you'd either have to see if they have any in stock, or just send them yours. Red R racing probably could modify stock cam gears as well. No real $$ advantage over new, the ISC definitely seem cheaper than what i paid for RP to modify mine stock lines are fine in terms of concerns about degredation etc (not an issue) i'm not 100% if there is concerns with a 'capacity' issue? i'm wouldn't think there would be an issue - i made near 300rwkw on my prev GT-T with E85 and stock lines, 98 car. Still fine on high % ethanol after 4-5 years
  22. ^ hence i don't understand the affordability aspect... you have to do these things anyway, or already have... you don't need a 'flex fuel' tune - you said it's a track car, so just leave it on an E85 tune, simply. 'flex fuel' is ability to run any mixture of 98/E85 - required ethanol sensors etc, this is not at all needed from what the OP has posted. Just needs an E85 tune and happy days
  23. ditch poncams, new Walbro pump is like $180-190 i think? shove that in, and you're E85 ready - you've got everything else, and if you're going to get injectors, just get some 1000's and be done with it, although i think you'ld be ok with E85 and 750's. And it's a track car, even more reason to go E85, so much more protection available via the fuel. the "can't afford" line doens't really make any sense?
  24. to me (and i've just realised this.... hahahaha) it's like having Lindt's 70% dark chocolate compared to Greens organic single origin 85% dark chocolate... you can't go back, 70% is too sweet - you need the hard stuff from then on maybe my subconscious has been directing me to choose the 85% dark chocolate lol haha, can't believe i haven't made this connection before! seriously though, Greens 85% is the absolute shizzle.... just like United's E85 but bring on the Caltex E85! It feels like a cop out using it at the moment, more 'true' E85 outlets the better!!
  25. i was running Eflex at the beginning of all this, and despite a batch or two or low to mid 60's, after that, my sensor only ever read E70,bang on every time. Even in summer. We know that Caltex up until this point has never switched to a summer blend. Then united came back in the game (big time here in Melb) and they've been very consistent, i've never seen lower then 82 or higher than 85. I'm more than happy to run a tank of Eflex after Nov 30th to confirm this for you
