  1. it's alright, just change it a bit more regularly than you would a Grp IV or V
  2. K Rudd is telling you it would be great for the economy to buy this turbo
  3. are new drums easy to buy/cheap? good ones, which will keep any water out?
  4. no receipt, got the laptop from work. Location, Melbourne (bayside area) can drop off (within reason, sorry satanic )
  5. but you get to choose from a few different specs.. any of this sound familiar? ATR28? G2 profile, G3 profile? 71mm compressor wheel? 76mm compressor wheel? what rwkw numbers were you pulling during that initial run?
  6. ^ agree 110% - once you get something fitted and tailored properly, for that $1k mark (and we're just getting started at this price) you'll be looking for opportunities to wear your suit if it's not a 9-5 item. i don't need a suit for work and hardly wear the one i got from Godwin Charli, but i always look forward to the chance to wear it. Had a Marcs suit as well, not too bad (same factory as Hugo) but the GC blows it away. That was about $1k but half price cos my bro use to work there and then there's full bespoke...
  7. i'd pulled out too f i found out i was riding in an IS250
  8. heaps of places to check, so good luck but if you still want to buy a good suit, even after monday i can't recommend 'Godwin Charli' enough. http://godwincharli.com/ Beautiful, beautiful suits and very nice contemporary cut, whilst still being classic. (none of this Calibre cut bullshit). Made here but all 100% fine italian wool. Couldn't think of a better way to spend Krudd's money.... except maybe on a laptop or R34 turbo To anyone else looking for a suit, and looking for a good one, go to Godwin Charli. Stimulus money will get you a great suit which is still a fair way nicer than a Saba/Hugo Boss, etc...
  9. but at the petrol station i'd take your only option is jerry cans, and from there... do you put it in a metal drum at home? these hard to find/expensive? or would a good quality jerry can be ok for a few months?
  10. i believe nissan say 7.5w/30 - where the f*ck you get 7.5 i have no idea... Marcus, do you know about www.performancelub.com? if not, all the oils you'll ever need are there. If the 26 sees mild track use, i'd go with a 10w40 (Royal Purple, Amsoil, Redline, German Castrol) Street use i'd be more inclined to use an 0w or 5w. 5w30 is probably you're closest to the factory specs. I'm running 5w30 Royal Purple at the moment.
  11. Hi guys, got a brand new Toshiba Satellite A200/401 (top of the line Toshiba Satellite) for sale, never been used and RRP is $1799.00 Still in the box Basic Specs: -Intel Core 2 Due Processor T7250 2.0GHz -Windows Vista Home Premium -160GB Hard drive -1GB DDR2 Ram -15.4 Widescreen display -ATI Mobility Radeion HD 2400 (128mb but up to 383mb, and 1GB system memory) Full Specs: Great laptop with everything you could want, even use it as a desktop, it's plenty powerful enough. Can easily handle games as well. Considering Krudd is about to start throwing money at us all, i'll half the RRP price and go with a stimulus total of $900 Price: $900 - perfect stimulus money buying cheers, daniel
  12. what spec Hypergear to you use?
  13. stunning car mate
  14. oh.... so they get joe public to fund the car and the R+D, but they get to keep it? bit of a rip.. ohhhhh... now i know where the FXX is familiar.... it's mentioned when people talk about the SpecV brakes! apparently the CC brakes on the SpecV are the same as the FXX
  15. fair enough. i too am contemplating the practicalities of it all with Hoppers being the only place. Trent @ Status said he could give me both maps on a USB drive and i can chop and change when i want, but it does seem to require a bit of forward planning, especially with long trips like Apollo bay. If you still had E85 in there, you'd almost have to have a little bit of 98 with you... wait to you're practically empty, put in the 98 can, switch tunes and use the 10 or so litres of 98 to get you to a petrol station. how much E85 do you get in one go? i take it you just don't head over the bridge just to fill up and not take any extra
  16. FBI Tint, pearl white GTR, gun metal rims = teh ultimate hotness.... add to that the black A pillars.... totally drool worthy... If you want to give it some proper paint protection Andrew, take it to Damian @ Final Inspection... he'll make sure the paint gets the best care possible So you can organise test drives at FTG Nissan???
  17. where's the pic taken? looks like a nice spot
  18. ^ that's exactly why i wouldn't get an MPIII despite how much i love the car. Looks even better after a detail ey Eugene? So i thought i'd hunt for an MPII R34 GTR, as that's not a flip paint is it? i thought MPII would be a fairly straight forward paint code to match? also thought an MPII would go for more in Japan as well.... guess that's not the case.... good for me i guess
  19. loss in response i take it as well? you get sick of going to Hoppers to get fuel?
  20. how does E85 go with storage? the melb place is a bit of a drive for me but if the fuel stores ok, i'll probably fill up a fair bit and keep the rest in my garage. I probably do about 100km's per week anyway, so i don't drive a lot. i guess my question, is how long will it last stored? does it go.... "off"?
  21. 12 month personal imports are still around and will let you bring anything sold here locally, into the country. So yes, you could bring in a GTR if you want. Proof or ownership in whatever country for 12 months is required, rego papers, etc But if you did this in Japan, which i've thought about, and not live there, storing the bloody thing would be so expensive. Almost tempting to live, work there for a year, get paid in Yen, and buy a car... yeah you have to store it, but i'd imagine you'd come out in front at the end, Baron?
  22. guys, the OP has] sent an email to ACA, reeeead the thread
  23. good point. the braking it seems is going to see the most benefit in track times by the looks of it, Ring times should be very interesting.
  24. the other problem is off loading your current vehicle. I'm really keen on moving up to a GTR as there are some great prices here in Oz, but then on the flip side i've gotta get rid of my car which i'm sure would be tough. to the importers... forgetting the exchange rate, etc... has the Yen price of the R34 GTR's in Japan dropped much at all? What would the average yen only price for a decent V-Spec and V-Spec II be roughly?
  25. muchos gracias Bakes and second poster... amazing car... wasn't even aware it existed, although the name sounds vaguely familiar... so what's the deal? you can't buy these things?
