you'll drive all the way to shep just to watch?
-
i'm in for joining the cruise for those that aren't staying friday night
-
oh so that's what they are, point to point? so if you cover the distance between the 2 camera's too quickly, they determine you're speeding? saw some fixed ones on the way back from hotham, and swore that if they were working i'd have been nabbed for like +5k's over, so just assumed either my speedo was out, or they didn't actually work and were just deterrents?

thanks for your help guys. i managed to sort out a refund for the one i got, and then luckily found this one on ebay for about $20, looks a bit more complete and you can see clearly here that the Spec-R solenoid picks up an extra wire (PURPLE) don't know if i need it, but at least i know i have all the right stuff now anyways, thanks for helping to confirm things for me. The one i originally got probably would have done the job, but i feel a lot more comfortable having bought the second one cheers, daniel

get some Mid Sheen Tyre Dressing (MSTD) from Final Inspection. Doesn't sling, and can wipe it down for more of a matte finish if you don't like too much bling. -
does long wang require 5th gear?

^ you a brighton boy? you driving up sat morning, or you doing the friday night stay? i'm sandringham, but not staying any nights, so looking to see who's in the area to cruise up there

you sir are f*cking retarded. Graeme is a cop you f*ck head! And he does his job damn well if you ask me going from his posts. He keeps us in the loop of some true stupidity out there, and is always happy to ask any question we have, which is almost invaluable considering how many f**king e warriors there are putting out absolute drivel regarding the law and road legalities. if anything, Graeme just keeps all of us on our toes regarding our driving. Not from the point of view "i'm out to get ya!" but from the perspective of "i attended a crash scene today..." 116, in a 60 zone, approaching a 40 zone, in a clapped out old 'rolla is approaching suicide. The car would be silly unstable at those speeds and would take the slightest over correction for the shit to hit the fan. so pull your f*cking head in, and give some damn respect to a copper who at least understands both sides of the fence, and has not camped himself in the "us and them" mentality. Yeah there are those who would let the '79 rusting datsun go to pull over the p plate 33, but then there are retarded import owners as well... where do you fit in clutch?

to the NSW people, both Dr Detail and DMS are MOBILE detailers, they can come to you
-
INANST reading this, blast from the past! 60 on FTG rd? where bouts? i'd say that's warranted, especially in a clapped out old 'rolla - scary... my old pulsar got a little too floaty for my liking around 100km on the freeway is your white whale a GT3

they should get cracking on R35 gearsets, and then sell back to the yanks. They way the AUD is going, they could really do well i reckon. And they should definitely get some gearsets ready before the 35 gets release here

There a couple highly recommended detailers in Sydney, ones which Final Inspection themselves would recommend (very few detailers are at the level FI would actually recommend their services) First one. Dr Detail Milperra NSW 2214 Australia 0419 661 170 [email protected] Second one. DMS Detailing Phone: 0422 074 079 Email: [email protected] website: www.dmsdetailing.com.au If i don't answer my phone its cause i didn't hear it ring but ill call you back asap if you leave a voice message. My preferred method of booking is email or the website booking form so we both have a trail of messages, however always happy to have a chat! Thanks Guys, Dan Make sure you'd like your headlights machined polish, it might be included in the level of detail you get, it might not. Best to check. R34_Wong, you're in for a treat mate What colour is your car? The type of detailing done by FI, DMS, Dr Detail... etc... is PROPER detailing. There are hundreds of hack job artists out there who might charge half of what these guys do, but it's cheap work where the results disappear very quickly. A lot places will just "fill" in the swirls, scratches, etc, these sort of products are washed away very quickly and you're left with a paint defected car all over again. FI and the others i mentioned actually CORRECT the clear cote, and then protect it in a layer of something that doesn't involve fillers. It's proper detailing with the TOP products and equipment being used on your cars.

^ hahahha starts off all happy days then... /scared voice "stop it snowy, stop it ..... " and then happy days again talk about hold your breath moment! jeebus....
-
it was part of a Stage 2 detail. I think Stage 2 is around $300, but it's a WHOLE car detail, headlights are part of it. What i'm trying to get at is that it's requires MACHINE correction to get it back looking clear. The the OP, you're in melb, so you're a lucky bastard to have Final Inspection in town. Where bouts do ya live?

bugger. I was checking as many spec-r pics as i could and EVERY one has 3 wires for the solenoid, that must be one of the differences between the original Dual SBC that DiRTGarage was selling, and the Spec-R. I'm going back and forth with the seller trying to tell him i do not have a spec-r solenoid, but he's playing hard ball at the moment.
-
i have a feeling he gave me an older style solenoid. It's dual, but not the one for a spec r. You can seem from paul's solenoid there are blue and white wires, just like mine. yet, when i check ebay at the other spec-r's for sale (they've all popped up now after i bought mine damn it!) there is a mysterious purple wire that comes from the solenoid. So that's 3 wires from the solenoid, white/purple/blue. Can any who has a spec-r confirm if they have 3 coloured wires from their solenoid? i paid via paypal, so i have some protection... but this guy was like a platinum seller, and he confirmed for me it was a spec-r boost controller.
-
given what the yen and usd are doing now it was cheap see i don't have those plug things at the end of the wires.... the 'harness'? do i need them, or i can i just wire the stuff in? could i buy those little plug ends from an electronics store and just split the wires into the plug? from the parts list and paul's brand new kit from an i-colour, looks like i'm missing.. - extra vacuum line (black) - rubber house (blue) - white plastic hose join (for black vacuum line) - end plug things - wire taps - t piece would i be able to buy that sort of stuff from electronics stores?
-
hahahahah the smack talk begins my first DECA, woo! where's all the 34's at??

Hey guys, after a long search, i managed to get myself a blitz spec r that didn't force me to sell body parts to fund the purchase. Second hand purchase and i'm not sure i've got everything i need to hook it up? this is what i've got... and then found this listing on ebay, which i "think" shows what comes with it if you buy it brand new http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLITZ-DUAL-...emZ300267594132 and then i found the manual, and i do seem to be missing some stuff question is though, do i have enough to get it all working. I suppose the main part is that i have the controller and the solenoid... but i don't seem to have any pluggy bits (don't know what you call it) so yeah, was this a wasted purchase, or can i get it working? cheers, chinny

you'll need a machine, and aggressive polish. Just take it to Final Inspection, Brunswick, he'll fix the car up for ya. my headlights (after correction)
-
i checked the sticky, only DT panels didn't have a #, everyone else did. depending where you are, if you're on a budget, DT Panels or Primal Garage (don't have personal experience) - one is east, one is west. seriously, search harder... panel beaters/spray jobs/body kits, etc... those threads pop up with regularity in the Vic section.
-
Stay out of my way, or you'll pay. Listen to what I say Yeah, why don't I go eat some hay. I can make things out of clay, or lay by the bay, I just may. Whaddya say? i've never done a DECA before, so have noooo idea what's good and what's not. I'd hazard a guess and say i'd be shitehouse at circle work though might just leave it up to the experts and those who've done it before. my vote would learn towards which ever ones are relatively easier, with a few hard ones thrown in to embarrass myself on
-
what year 911 is that? email away with forms and receipt!!
-
tried searching? isn't there a sticky at the top of this section? anyways, DT Panels. I won't quote as every car is different. You're prob better off getting everything done at once
