  1. It's a dyno dynamics dyno. What's the alternative to the N1 oil pump?
  2. haha you beat me to it. Spotted Ethan at Hills so slow. Sorry about the handshake there. I was all crossed up and things in hands and in the end it was all just too hard. haha I think I need to put in a claim to Shannons for a handshaking accident. I want my 5 seconds compensation!!!! I think 5 of my seconds are selling for about 5.05 cents atm. Do you think it's worth losing my no claim bonus for? Did you see the s15 there? 370odd rwkw at 1 bar about to go nuts with more boost and naws!!!
  3. I beleive there is a test car in existance in Sydney but not yet ready for commercial release.
  4. Thanks for that Wil. My car goes faster than most bikes so this is just for cruising around on nice days.
  5. The list for anyone else watching. Mature age riders NSW - that's me, over 30. Moto cycle riders handbook pdf
  6. Honda CBR250. That's what I'm learning on at the Learners place. They are good little things I think. I am limited to 660cc and 150kw/tonne.
  7. Spotted James in the Ceffy today on Parra rd. Also spotted an electric blue R33GTR in Merrylands I think I was, I waved, looked like he was thinking about it. Spotted a yellow GTT that I've spotted before, big chromies, black bonnet, aftermarket front bar near Parra. Spotted another GTT at the Learner Riders course today too. Didn't spot Sam but Hi anyway!
  8. I'm just doing my Learners course atm and wondering where's the best place to look for bikes to buy and what kind should I get. I've been told a Suzuki GS500 would be good but I couldn't find any listings for them in the Trading Post. I'm thinking about 400-600cc and fairly upright ordinary kind of seating position - not a racer. Is $3-4000 realistic for something reliable? ta. Also I see "new sprockets" in a number of adds. How many k's do sprockets last? Are they expensive?
  9. Mine was sucking shut with 228rwkw. That one doesn't even look the right shape. Can't use a recirculating bov with it either from the looks of it.
  10. Is it manual? If so definitely get a powerfc, some sort of boost controller and a tune.
  11. How long did you run it for? Does it idle rough?
  12. Dude I've figured out now that you are in the US somewhere (probaby Georgia) but you should state that since 95% of us are in Australia and use different methods of working out horsepower - we actually prefer kilowatts but anyway... So to your question; Yes the AFM should be well and truly maxed out. What ECU are you using? That said we have been using these walbro's and they are shit. You are right in the area where flow becomes a real problem. Here's an easy test for you. Put car on dyno. Take off fuel return line and point into a bucket or tin. Run the car up at full power. If the return flow reduces to a trickle or even worse stops completely (as it did mine) take the pump out and sell it to someone who has less power than you. This test is cheaper than replacing your pump just in case and since we don't know what ECU you have or the tuner's methods we can't comment on the afm really.
  13. Get your stock ECU chipped. Cheap as...
  14. It's sorted now thanks everyone. After that Wil is doing it.
  15. What time do you finish? I'm guessing latest pickup is whatever time Wil goes to bed and drop off can be whenever.
  16. I am just trying to get it from Wil in the evening some time then put in the box at HPI tonight, doesn't matter if they are not there. They can then work on them tomorrow rather than waiting for post. I'd do it myself but I'm partially busy.
  17. haha Poor wil, not like he does nothing.
  18. Anyone live in the area? Need help tonight. Gotta get a CD from Wilch who lives in the Hills area somewhere to HPI who are around Rydalmere somewhere.
  19. Coupe and sedan have the same rear suspension.
  20. No I don't mean that. I mean meetups and local cruises stay in the one thread that never ends and is appropriate to the area. We did discuss moving most of it to the events section but as I've said before that just makes the events section messy. Maybe I'm just being a bit protective of 'my' events section because since these regional threads all started up in NSW the events section has never looked better. I feel like we are getting better attendance too but it's hard to prove. I don't think the boundaries are too hard to define. I just did it!
  21. Unbolt the connecting pipe at the back of the valley cover. Take all the hoses off.
  22. I'm pretty likely to be there. Hoping to have an extra 25 rwkw which should shave 10 seconds off my laps times... 1:02's here I come!
  23. Ok well the votes came in 32 - 21 or something like that. To appease the senior members of SAU I propose to setup each of the threads in the new subsection, set the rules for it and moderate it viciously. I propose the following sections: Newcastle Central Coast Hills Area North inc Northern beaches, Hornsby etc. West and Mountains, inc Penrith, Blacktown etc Campbelltown South inc Bankstown, Sutherland etc. East South coast Draft rules: 1. All whoring, chatting, arranging of meet ups/cruises etc to be done in the above sticky threads. 2. Other area specific things can have their own threads unless it is deemed that it would more appropriately be placed in the NSW section. 3. Any exclusionist behavior will result in immediate warnings and/or bannings. Ie; if you post anything that is designed to make people leave the thread because they live elsewhere or for any other reason. 4. Try to think of your fellow SAUers. If a cruise looks like being a decent size a week or more before the event, post it in the NSW events section or ask a mod to move it there so that everyone can attend if they wish. 5. This section exists as entrance to the wider SAU community and to keep arrangements for small meet ups and cruises in one neat area. Everything else belongs in the main sections of SAU. Someone who has 80% of their posts in this section after 2-3 months is fine but someone who has 80% of their posts in this section after 4-6 months is not participating in the forum community and is going against the spirit of the forum. 6. This section is on trial only at this stage. What do you all think - apart from being against me entirely - about the above?
  24. 32 to 21. The results are in.
  25. Just had a bit of a read of the gas research site. Check the technical section and the FAQ for some info on forced induction. www.gasresearch.com.au
