  1. What you have there is; top, a neo gasket, bottom a non neo, r33, series one stagea, whatever gasket. It's the neos that have the smaller runners. Previous models had bigger ones. Doesn't seem to restrict at all. I think it would help having smaller ones to keep air velocity. Ie; I think the air would expand a little in the plenum and inlet manifold then compress again going into the ports with the bigger one but with the smaller one (neo) it would keep the air more compressed all the to the ports thus requiring less effort to recompress and being ultimately less restrictive.
  2. Ok my tips and comments: I think full boost is a little late for my liking. What boost level are you aiming for? I would increase the boost duty cycle to get a small spike at hopefully around 3600rpm that you can then flatten out later in the rev range. What boost control are you using btw? If it's something that has different duty cycles able to be set depending on rpm like an AVC-R then increase it later where the boost drops off or drop it in the middle if you are only after 12psi. Apart from that, does anyone here have any idea how this translates to rwkw on a dyno dynamics dyno?
  3. It shouldn't do that. Also re boost gauge, check the sender unit which is mounted up high on the firewall in the middle near the brake lines on a bracket. Sometimes the connector that the hose goes to snaps. Also trace back along this hose. There is a one way valve whose connector also breaks quite often. If these connectors are snapped but still holding on they might show boost sometimes but not others. But.. although they are well worth checking I suspect your problem is electrical but most likely based around the sender unit.
  4. You will never get that info out of GCG. All I know is I think my GCG highflow has a GT30 core of some sort.
  5. Typical wowsers. Nothing you write will infect these dickheads with intelligence but at least having the other side of the story out there keeps the fencesitters balanced.
  6. And another holy crap! from me. Sheesh!!
  7. Get a couple of big cable ties and have them on hand.
  8. 1. Area threads got stickied in the first place because it was annoying have more than one about the same place/thing running at any one point in time. 2. They have since multiplied and are taking up too much space on the first page of the NSW section. Options: 1. Leave it as is - annoying because of 2 above. 2. Unsticky them - new ones will get created as soon as the one from that area gets pushed off the first page, see 1 above. 3. Delete them - I personally wouldn't care but some people seem to like them and people who never saw this thread would still create new ones meaning more moderation/rules necessary. 4. Create a subforum for them - gets them out of the way for those who are annoyed by them (ie you just ignore that section of the forum); Doesn't hurt the people who use them. 5. Force them into the Events section - I am personally against this because the 'real' events (eg, track days etc.) will get lost in the mire. All this is doing is moving the mess from NSW to Events. I guess I could sticky the 'real' events. There is a rising anti-whore sentiment on this forum. Whether SAU allows it or not is a policy decision for Prank and the other Admins. Those who have suggested that the single whore thread be used to do what the area threads do are dreaming. It's completely impractical due the sheer volume of posts in that thread. I note that a number of the people suggesting this are not unfamiliar with the whore thread. Have a think about it. Do I really have to spell out exactly why? The concept of separate threads has been labeled divisive. I can't see it. The people in them post in other areas too. Old school SAU'ers will remember the Westside/Northside days (just before my time too actually). It was a friendly rivalry, no harm in it at all. MY conclusion; I think option 4 above keeps the most amount of people happy. I was expecting about 20 people to vote in this poll and about 5 to post. Sorry about the shitfight. I obviously tapped a nerve.
  9. haha thanks again all. yup RB26 with rubberband hyperdrive.
  10. There is a few spots left atm.
  11. I never wanted to delete them. I'd rather not have them in the events section either cos that section gets quite cluttered with them. Someone starts a thread about going out that night, it doesn't quite get off the ground but the same thread becomes the seed for an event 2 weeks later and then someone else starts a new one in between meaning there are two going on at once - just for that area. Then the real, decent sized events get lost in the mess. The events section has never looked so good since these area threads started up. I say keep them... in a separate box.
  12. Will fit with a bit of mucking around. Should flow to nearly 300rwkw.
  13. Unfortunately not for me. My secret mod has been performed but not run in yet.
  14. Screw you guys. Mr Funky or Mr Merli will come to my rescue.
  15. Tell us more Liz. Thanks Oz.
  16. Please add "Local areas in NSW" subforum to the NSW section and give all NSW mods rights to it. As per the vote. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry2390705 I will move all the threads into it if someone just creates it for me. Please? thanks.
  17. they are sticky cos people kept starting new ones. At times there was more than one about the same area. Michael 1882 - that's pretty much what I was suggesting.
  18. Vote and comment. I think the amount of sticky threads are getting out of hand. It seems logical to group the areas together in a sub forum in NSW to me. ***EDIT Poll closes tuesday 15th August night, late.
  19. I've met him a couple of times. I thought he was alright. You've got his number. Keep trying to call him.
  20. A mate has a neo with low compression in no.3. Dunno if that's any use to you.
  21. We love to jump on people around here don't we. What dyno did you use? Who owns it? Is it an RB25 or RB30? If you answer these questions some of the apparent anomalies in your first post may become clearer.
  22. Thanks guys and Happy Birthday to you Duncan.
  23. I can't make it for a few weeks but will be keen after that.
  24. No such deposit recorded.
