  1. Just got a pm from GTRedline. We did get your deposit mate. There was a deposit for a KevinW but I put it down to Kevin XJ Jag on the list since I didn't know your name was kevin also. Therefore GTRedline is all good. Therefore Kevin XJ Jag said he paid but hasn't.
  2. Shit can and does happen. I wasn't going to post in this thread but... I feel like it. It seems to me that the point of this thread and the exercise was to push the standard RB25 as far as it can go to see what the limits are. He pushed it, he found the limits. His opinion therefore is that if he repeated the experience but stopped just before that last step that blew the motor, it would still be happily running and be an advertisment for what can be done with a stock RB25. How much longer it would have lasted without that last step we will probably never know because he probably doesn't feel like doing it again for our benefit. As mentioned above, that kind of power level comes with reliability sacrifices, no matter if it's a stock engine or a built one. ps, the comment about heat in number 6 - I think the theory is that the extra 4% fuel in that cylinder should make it run a little cooler.
  3. So did you get the turbo upgrade done for this last event? Car was sounding great but seemed a little underpowered compared 800hp monaro's (I really don't need to hear that again).
  4. Looks normal to me. My consumption has stayed the same as I've modded my car. Only very rarely on the fwy do it dip into the 11's.

  6. Of those listed as having paid SAU we have no deposits for Fatz or GTRedline. The others are there.
  7. I think they have rumpy pumpy under the house when you don't look. I'm sure they are multiplying under there.
  8. Sounds great. One win for every start! Even if I retire hurt there would have to be some countback system there since 'all' the cars in the class would be retired hurt as well.
  9. There are spots left still. Need to pay your deposit as per the first post to confirm your spot now people. It's much less painful if you pay for a track day in two lots far in advance.
  10. I was out there today and they were using that entrance. I can now visualise it a lot better. Should be fun. Much easier on the cars too.
  11. Great news everyone. RENEW have just confirmed that we have 30 spots all up. They will be running the day a bit different to previous days. It will be a bit more like supersprints. Apparently there is a back entry onto the track a little before the start of the straight. We will be going on there. Timing starts once we hit the start/finish line. We then race on for 3 hot laps after which we head around and off again. I'm told that this is a much more efficient use of the track and that we will all get heaps of track time. Those that have put your hand up for the reserve list put in your $100 now, anyone else that wants to be in don't think that we wont sell out despite doubling the spots. Get in quick.
  12. That's just cars in general isn't it? I caught myself looking at R34 GTR's a couple times recently but it was only sitting down and running the car related future through my head that stopped me. As if I would leave it stock! I feel really stupid. Still, the current beast is booked in for $1500 worth of work on monday, which I'm sure doesn't compare to you big boys but I can't stop myself. ps can I have my trophy for fastest white 4 door auto R34 now please?
  13. I went to one on a weekend once. It was fine. Not as good as a weekday obviously but still good. Are you going down flyby? Sorry I can't remember your name although we've met once or twice. I reckon we should pick a day in a month or so and get some canberra and sydney contingent down there. I should be back on the road in a week or so.
  14. Those Nitto's do seem to last a while don't they? Watch out for steel wires late in the day though...
  15. I was just reading a Martin Donnen article in Zoom about drag radials. He was saying that you should start at about 18-19psi then go from there. He had a turbo LS1 example. I was getting the same 60 footers at 28psi as I was at 18psi in my very 2nd hand Nitto555's. Maybe I need more power to make it relevant. I know one thing and that is that they needed biggish burnouts every time or wheel spin hit me at the top of 1st gear (auto). Also you guys doing 2nd gear burnouts are pussies. hehe just kidding. I love watching the speedo go off the scale while doing a burnout - now that Adrian has showed me the way - but I'm not as big a man as Shane - I need that water. I hope that added to the discussion despite me not knowing much in this forum. ps Kenny - you're famous. My mate Rob knows you. haha Is that bimmer racing yet? (pls forgive if it is and I missed it, been out of cars a bit for a few months)
  16. What about getting that power to the ground?
  17. Nothing yet. Plenty of time still though.
  18. The air bags are removable fromthe steering wheel it's most like a conversion. There doesn't appear to have been many manual 4 doors.
  19. Cash it in now yourself. Take your plates and sticker to the RTA for a refund and cancel your greenslip.
  20. That sounds just like an exhaust leak pre turbo, so either head to exhaust manifold or manifold to turbo gasket. No harm in driving it to get it fixed.
  21. Genuine R34 front guards are very light. I have picked one up with one finger. I think I know someone who has a pair. Might still have them, dunno. But.. your bonnet and front bar wont fit up to GTR guards and I think there is some issue with the radiator support panel because the GTR one is a few cm higher than the GTT one. Cheapest option would have to be pumping the stockers.
