  1. I thought you got detonation above 1 bar? Be careful mate!
  2. That's right. SAU are still accepting the payments and passing the money onto RENEW.
  3. Hmm, gotta pull my turbo off soon to check it out so might do this at the same time.
  4. I doubt I'll be there but will see later.
  5. Yup 5 places left only.
  6. 9 people paid and accounted for.
  7. Assessors are all supposed to be independant but there is often influence. Doesn't matter if their insurance company is not trying to exert the influence, the assessor might feel it anyway. I was going to bring up Jo's car before since the situation is almost identical (4 door r34 hit from behind, question over whether it should be a write off or not) but I forgot. Luckily she found the thread!
  8. Wang looks like being sold. We are asking $3000 for the engine package which includes the turbo, coil packs, loom and ecu but we will listen to genuine offers. Seats can be sold as a package both fronts plus rear for $700 the set. Diff with drive shafts and hubs $600
  9. I usually just remove my spare at the track and leave it in the garages. They have two rows of carport like things so there is an undercover parking spot for everyone. I suggest all the skylines stick together in the second row back from the track. There's not much weight in the rear seat so I wouldn't bother with removing that but I do remove the carpet, spare, jack, sub, etc from the boot. As the for the layout of the day, we will have the proper forms soon but basically you have scruitineering of the cars from about 7:30 to 8am so don't be late. Then drivers briefing. Then newbies go out in the experienced peoples cars for a few laps limited to 100km/h. Then the newbies go in their own cars with an experienced person in the passenger seat for a few laps. Then the day proper starts with probably 3-4 groups each going out for 15 minutes of track time, then coming in and the next group going out. I don't know why you would want 5 spare tyres Ando!
  10. Stolly silver gts-t R33deviat nath95 Liz Primordial d00dz 7 people paid in full. I've just been informed that we are limited to 15 spots so get your payments in soon everyone else. You don't want to miss out.
  11. Well I've just made my first booking with these guys. The discount code you have there crashes their system on both IE and Firefox so I booked without. I have a work account with Toll and was quoted $176, these guys were $101. Hopefullly it all arrives safely.
  12. That's only at cruise and idle. If you had 14.7 on power your engine would blow. Turbosmart have got a new fuel cut defender thingie that is fairly cheap bends the afm signal. Check out FCD3 here
  13. Dunno about RB20 but R33 RB25's get good gains from cam gears but NEO's don't.
  14. Once you know how.. it's easy.. sort of.
  15. I've got 3 from an R34. I think the tops are the same.
  16. I get 1 bar at 3200 with my highflow. It spools like stock so where I previously had 2-3psi I still have 2-3psi, where I had 12psi I still have 12psi. I was going to say it's only a little laggier but then I compared all my old dyno sheets and was surprised to see them boosting at the same level at the same rpm.
  17. Cam gears don't help on NEO engines either. No point in doing cams without a bigger turbo as mentioned above. But in closer answer to your question: You don't need anything extra like valve springs or whatever, they drop straight in. I can also tell you that with no retune done I got 25rwkw extra from the type b poncams, it's now running very rich in the midrange and the detonation threshold has moved up about 2500rpm. All at the same boost.
  18. Certainly sounds like a small turbo cam.
  19. Newbies need one for the experienced guys to sit in. Are you a newbie? I think you'll be right but don't expect me to sit on your bare floor.
  20. I have been told that it will be a "CAMS style event" so most of the rules are the same as for the last track day. There will be some passenger sessions however whenever the official timing is running no passengers are allowed. Realistically passengers would get about 2 sessions and they unfortunately need to have one of the aforementioned Wakefield Club Comp Licences to go out on the track. I don't think fire extinguishers will be necessary this time round.
  21. You need to keep drivers and passengers seats.
  22. Important! I have just found out that you DON'T need a CAMS licence for this event. I was misinformed about this and offer my apologies to those that have paid for theirs already. The CAMS licence will still be needed for the Eastern Creek track day in October and there are other track days around that it is useful and cheaper for. If you don't have a CAMS licence you do need a Wakefield Park Club Comp Licence which you get from the track itself on the day if you don't already have one. I think these are $40 a year. The CAMS licence negates the need for this though.
  23. Passengers are not allowed. How it works for newbies is that us experienced guys take them out as passengers in our own cars then we go out as passengers in the newbies cars in the next session so that they can get familiar with the track while someone experienced is there.
  24. Told you all he was cheap.
