  6. Some bearings can sound like that. Also seen a turbo that was scraping the inside of the housing make a similar noise. Get your head into the engine bay and find out exactly where it's coming from.

  9. What gear are you in with those big smokies? Now that you have taught me I can do burnouts in 3rd gear (1:1) 190km/h on the spot.
  10. Why are you getting 17's? 18's look a million times better on an R34. The 235's will fit the front no worries. I found slightly increased understeer with the 225's. The width and offset of the rims are perfect. Can't go any bigger.

  14. Cool. Sound like the afm and injectors still have room. Do you have an adjustable reg? Also can't you clamp the AFM signal or just ignore the fact that's it's maxed out with your tune? Mine maxes out all the time but doesn't matter even at 255rwkw. The other thing you could do is increase the cross-sectional diameter with a new pipe while keeping the same element and tune to suit. I've got some instructions somewhere that explains how it is done. I'm really interested in your water/meth and will wait for your final results.

  16. Nice to chat legend (and thanks for the lend of the jumper) weevil and spx. Only 4 runs last night which was a bit annoying. I know I can go faster but gotta get everything right on the first run. Congrats on the 10 Mr33. You got there! Now to add the extra weight of a cage. I came looking for you mid evening but perhaps you ran the 10 early as I couldn't find you. Not many liners there and half of those that were were not from here. Poor old legend broke a drive shaft on his last run. Had trouble hooking up all night. How funny were all our first runs? Everyone got about a second or 2 seconds slower than they were expecting.

  19. Which exhaust housing do you have? THere is a 8cm and a 10cm isn't there?
  20. Difference between workshop and garage. If you had a lathe you might use it.
  21. Maybe what you have is something like reversion (I think it's called) or surging. What I'm trying to say is perhaps the engine when it drops revs down on the change of gear is suddenly unable to ingest the large amount of air being shoved down it's throat creating a temporary partial blockage which forces some of the air backwards through the turbo. Pure speculation based on incomplete knowledge. Hey cef11e - are you going to/have you done a write up on the water methanol injection and subsequent tuning? Is that what you used my old fuel pump for? I'd love to hear the full in depth story.
