  1. That's what it's all about.
  2. have you got a pic for me? email it if you like sarpi at punkass dot com
  3. Haha yes I was. How did you know? Canberra so small you know every event that's going on?
  4. Maybe he wants it for the looks. http://linney.org/Index.htm?Nissan_skyline_R34GTT_info.htm That page has heaps of info. It comes across as all about the GTT but check all the tables as the info for the GT is there also. Eg about 147kw for the RB25DE vs 206kw for the RB25DET and 114kw for the RB20DE
  5. Those two things are not really related. Getting the combustion chamber machined is the best way to lower the CR but a thick head gasket is cheaper and easier. And regarding the comment about GT-RS being suited to SR20's. The GT-RS that goes on an SR20 is not the same GT-RS that goes on an RB25. It's smaller. If I didn't blow my stock turbo and and get the GCG hiflow rebuild I would have got the GT-RS. I think it's a great match. Of course now I drool over the 2835 with the 0.87 rear housing. 255rwkw with cams at 0.9 bar in an auto says a lot for this turbo but it's not for everyone. Don't forget that the R34 has a larger rear housing than the R33.
  6. That had a lot of stuff done to it to get that. An R33 RB25 head isn't the most amazing piece of gear and it's still only 2.5 litres. Imagine how peaky 300-350rwkw would be. Sounds ilke a waste of time if you ask me.
  7. That was me! I spotted a black ceffie on Coulter Drive yesterday and got a wave. I get more waves in Canberra than Sydney and I'm only there about 5-6 times a year.
  8. I do but I don't want to spend $100 on one.
  9. I'm looking for an old auto trans cooler from a stagea or skyline from someone who has either upgraded or converted to manual. Mine still works fine but I'm planning to copy Sydneykid and use it to cool the power steering fluid. Of course money is always an issue so that's why I'm hoping someone has one lying around.
  10. All good.
  11. I got a GCG highflow and used the stock actuator. I only run 0.9 bar but it's no trouble.
  12. 1. Don't know why but don't be scared. If you are driving fairly sedately for the last 2-3 minutes of your journey then you don't need the turbo timer anyway. I rarely use mine these days. 2. Sounds like the oil isn't going through at idle. 3. I think you have a loose connection to the battery, the alternator or a major earth like the engine or chasis (there is a lead from the negative of the battery to the chasis to the engine - check that)
  13. Wouldn't the 0.63 choke the top end too much and stop you from getting to 320? What about the GT2835 Pro S with the 0.87 rear housing? That should get you there. What was B-Man running when he had 330rwkw? Was that the 2835 or the 3040?
  14. Nah I think this would be a great thing for you. You don't need a full defensive driving course. Get out there and have some fun while you're learning.
  15. I was at Tempe tyres once and a guy came in with the same thing. He swore he had been driving normally and the tyre people said that yes it does happen occasionally and the tyre was faulty. They replaced it for free.
  16. I like Bel too. Whereabouts are you?
  17. I always thought that 250rwkw would be enough and now that I'm here it pretty much is.
  18. There is nothing wrong with those temps.
  19. I saw on on the road last night. Looked the same colour as mine (pearl white)
  20. I agree. When I blew mine it still revved but just no boost. Plenty of smoke out the back. I guess with the GTR you would still get some boost but a blown turbo shouldn't stop it from revving over 3k.
  21. Is that $100 for one sleeve?
  22. I was in the white 4 door R34. The only difference between the two is that the LM has no rear wiper.
  23. Stock turbo I'm assuming? Stock pump will be fine.
  24. 9am til 4pm or later if there are still cars to go on. I will be there a bit before but first car goes on at 9am. It's all about stock turbo or aftermarket turbo. Nothing else will be taken into consideration. BTW people. Don't be afraid to come and run your stocker up there. It gives you a good baseline figure. I wish I had run my car on a dyno when it was stock so I could see what improvements had what effect.
