  1. Were you at that Powerplay Track day at Eastern Creek last year? Actually that pic looks like it was taken there. If so I remember your car. It's very nice. I'd keep the car and forget about the R34.
  2. That's why I asked why.
  3. Was the strut brace still installed?
  4. I've had problems at 230rwkw and Nismoid at about 250rwkw so below that they are fine. I would not trust one of these at 270rwkw in a pink fit. Second hand GTR pumps are a good upgrade.
  5. One disadvantage when using an RB25 head - and one of the ones that dissuaded me when I went for a rebuild recently - is clearance. AFAIK you need to either put a front facing plenum on or drop the sub frame. The first I couldn't afford or find, the second sounded dodgy to me. If I ever have to rebuild again I will use an RB26 head on the RB30 bottom end though.
  6. It fits well and will be fine for your power level but expect to upgrade again later if you start going for more power.
  7. There is a bolt welded to the underside of the parcel tray which you can bolt a bracket to. I also took out one of the rubber grommets from the floor and bloted an L shaped bracket to that which goes through a slit in the carpet. when the bracket is not there you can't even see the slit that I made. I figured that out because after about 18 months of owning the car I found a slit somewhere else where the cd stacker used to be. If it can remain unnoticed for that long then it's not bad.
  8. I am expecting a big turnout so it's first come first served on the dyno and pay on the day is fine.
  9. www.proengines.com.au why do you want to do this? I thought you were doing a dodgy bros rebuild
  10. Radiator = stuffed. Glad to see everyone had a good time. Well done Steve for organising such a great event. Those of you who didn't turn up - make sure you pm N1GTR and get $5 to him. It's not fair that he should do all the organising and have to pay for the priviledge. $5 is nothing to you but 20x$5 or whatever it is is something to him when he has a broken GTR to fix. I'll be at the next one for sure. Might even be able to bring my car!!!
  11. I'm 6'5" and a half and have no problems in my GTT. Anyway, Bride rails are what you need. Maybe get some seats too.
  12. I presume you already have the cat back. You could get a second hand GTR fuel pump which would save you $100 or so but apart from that it all looks good.
  13. I think there is something you can do. Ring Mike at MV Automatics in Adelaide and he will give you the low down. Make sure you let us know what you find out.
  14. Hey mate, missed your response and only just discovered your other thread explaining yourself. 2535 is old turbo technology. Great size turbo and it was the one I wanted before the GT-RS came out and replaced it - which then by circumstance got changed to GCG highflow - which then turned out to be a great thing. If you can get a good price for it then it's worthwhile as you can sell your old stocker intact but if you're not trying to squeeze every last dollar out of it then either of the abovementioned turbos would be right for you.
  15. Are there any Stageas going?
  16. Can't you do something with the front part of your outer guard Shane? Like some subtle body coloured vent. Or maybe through the side of the front bar. It wont be simple but it may be effective.
  17. I've seen a pic of it and they looked a bit funny on the front. Back looked great.
  18. damn. so quick. I had some too
  19. That sux. Does that mean there were floaties in the oil? Where were they coming from I wonder.
  20. I hear the latest turbo diesel navara does it all in 4th gear. From a standing start too.
  21. I've been around wakefield with Oz in the R34VspecII and I can tell you now that in R34 GTR's there are 97 gear changes per lap. It's all to do with the ratios. I do it in 8 changes. Same lap times that day.
  22. I don't know exactly what causes it but I've noticed a few people having similar problems. You might find the info with further searching if you're lucky.
  23. That doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain further what you mean and what you hope to acheive.
  24. For easy to drive don't get a 2 way. 1 or 1.5 way would be best.
  25. haha, it takes at least an hour to get anywhere in sydney. I don't know why you need gasket goo on any part of your exhaust unless it doesn't fit properly. I have taken mine off and put it back on numerous times with no goop required. I'm sure there will be people around to help you Trooper. Post a thread.
