  1. HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111111
  2. Not really. She is just a skinny kid.
  3. I would think so. I think they have a preferred operating range like I said above.
  4. Well I've done plenty of well paid but ultimately dead end jobs but ended up being an office junior at 25. Two years later a promotion doubled my pay overnight and it has since gone up by that much again. Anyway, I've found my junior today. Going to offer her the job tomorrow and discuss pay then. She was most happy to be looking at the opportunity to get out of the local IGA supermarket. Very smart girl. I hope it works out.
  5. Where do all these people hide the rest of the year?
  6. What rod bolts did you use?
  7. At first I thought I was crazy but it's happened now about 5 or 6 times. I post. I see the thread with my post in it. Later - another day - I go back and my post is not there anymore. Most recent was in the RB25 turbo upgrade thread. A guy said said dunno how much that is in kw so I converted so everyone east of Perth could understand then the next post in the thread is Sydneykid saying the same thing. Obviously it wasn't there for him or he wouldn't have posted it.
  8. And we could suggest that everyone subscribe to the thread so that requests don't get lost in the ether.
  9. I'm interested. When is it on?
  10. Yup. The planatary gearset and the valvebody are the major parts and they remain. The VB gets modified with valving and machining. The gearset remains unchanged. It's extremely tough from the start. What is weaker are the clutches and bands which get replaced with kevlar parts and the servos which get replaced with larger heavier duty items. MV Automatics is the only place I would send an R34 box to in Australia. I have spoken with most of the big name auto modification places and they don't know this box at all.
  11. My transmission is built to handle AT LEAST 300rwkw (that's long term tested on other cars) and cost $3300 from MV Automatics.
  12. We should be having an exec meeting this month and we will discuss the idea.
  13. Those lights would usually indicate something to do with the traction control or throttle position sensor. Check the plugs in that area are all firmly plugged in for a start. Easy way to test if the TPS is adjusted right is using a consult cable but you could manually reset it if you know what you are doing.
  14. Well this thread is going nowhere fast. I like the way you are thinking Cowie. I live in Ryde which is way west if you ask me. I'm not yet convinced it would work but perhaps we should draw up a list of appropriate tools and then consider their pros and cons in relation to them being in a library. For instance; I can't see why everybody wouldn't have their own jack and stands as they are so cheap these days. Same with a socket set although if you are donating that changes things. An engine hoist might be alright although I know of a member who bought one recently and is hoping to rent it out for not too much to other members. Maybe a decent air compressor and bits would be good but again the "it's broken" "it was fine when I gave it back" issue might raise it's head. The club doesn't really have money to invest in this at the moment so the whole scheme would have to be cost neutral. Could we really afford to risk having to replace a $500 broken spray gun or something?
  15. I wasn't going to post this while the topic was still hot but what effect would this have with an auto? How does the info we have about lighter flywheels translate/compare to autos? With the auto you are going the opposite in some ways with the torque converter. I'm noticing lately the weight of my car and will be looking at different wheels - at least for the track if not the street - but have found this discussion interesting.
  16. He is talking about a pretty high power situation. The only one I have seen like this is plumbed the way you mentioned nik. You didn't mention a surge tank but I presume it's in there.
  17. Looking like being a top day.
  18. Well I'm now sifting through 130+ applicants... Seek works in one sense...
  19. There will be one coming soon. it's in the pipeline already. That's a pretty good time for road tyres. GTR or GTST? how much power?
  20. I have 255rwkw and the stock airbox witha nismo panel filter in it. Only 0.9 bar too so no restrictions apparent anywhere. Mik makes 390rwkw with stock airbox and tommyk 330. I figure there are better things to spend my money on than a pod. That's all.
  21. http://www.hioctaneracing.com.au/To.php I thought you already had a set of the type b muz? Or did you sell those? https://hioctaneracing.com.au/eshop/advance...&sort=2a&page=2 $1163 Tomeir Aussie distributors.
  22. Have you made any changes to your wheels and tyres recently? It's not likely to be the alarm. Track is probably no worries. Are you in sydney?
  23. Have you tried putting an adjustable cam gear? I know someone with an R34 that has cams and lowered compression ratio but hasn't been able to afford to replace the stock turbo yet. He is running actuator pressure - about 5-7psi - but has an adjustable cam gear retarded about 4 degrees (that's the only part i'm not 100% on - it may be different but you get the gist) and this brings the boost on very early. Like around 2k. It needs to be adjusted on a dyno to check but you should gain big mid range and up high might stay the same or increase. I always had this idea in my mind that the 2530 was the ultimate rb20 turbo? Surely with a tune you could pump some more boost in there and get a better figure (with a new fuel pump of course).
  24. If I had my time again I wouldn't change the cooler on my r34 until I upgraded the turbo.
