  1. Yes. I'll do a proper list with paid entrants once we get the payment details up. Should be soon.
  2. It's 2.5km. You should get at least 4 goes as well the the time on the skid pan. Heaps of goes at that. The hillclimb is next door I think.
  3. It just looked like he was using a little less of the track is all.
  4. Yeah streeters are best I think.
  5. Comparing that to the S2000 vid you can see that with more practice around OP Mark would definitely go faster. Or maybe just let John Boston drive next time...
  6. It's on the wet one. Passengers allowed but need a helmet on the back track like the drivers. Accommodation being organised closer to the date. Yes the date has changed sorry.
  7. +1 I've seen some awful attempts.
  8. Twice a year at this stage.
  9. Aaaaaaaand here we go again. Event: Texikhana Date: Sunday 14 September Cost: $100 per member, $115 per non member. Cars can be double entered with 2 drivers. You will also need a CAMS or AASA licence. AASA licences cost $50 on the day, last for a year and can be used at Wakefield. Direct deposit or Paypal/Credit Card accepted. Venue: Sutton Road Driver Training Centre, Canberra Format: Part 1; Sutton Road have a back track which is shaped like a racetrack but is more like the Old Pacific Hwy or National Park Road. We use cones set up as gates to keep the speeds down and things safe. Part 2; We will be using the wet skid pan again as Sutton Road are being harsh on our use of the big dry one. We will have several different layouts on the skid pan to make it challenging. It's more difficult than it looks and great fun. Restrictions: Street registered cars only with proper exhausts. That means no straight through pipes or screamers. Limit of 40 cars so everyone gets plenty of time out there. What should you bring: A roadworthy car not leaking anything, a helmet for the back track, long sleeves and pants, covered shoes, sunscreen, a hat and most importantly, a good attitude. Plan of attack: Most people will go down the night before and stay at Eaglehawk Holiday Park. We will start a separate thread for this. There is a pub next door and everyone will go there for dinner and drinks. Next morning we get up early and get to the venue. Cars are scruitineered then we have a driver's briefing. After this we split into two groups sending one to the skid pan and one to the back track. After Group 1 gets two runs each of the back track the groups swap and repeat. Lunch then repeat the morning with a different course on the skid pan. We usually run two courses in both directions on the skid pan. Pic of the venue: Link to entry form. 10. What ECU are you using?
  11. That's not very peacey. You make baby jesus cry with your hardcore teaching methods.
  12. I doubt it very much.
  13. It's not a good area that, not that many parts of Sydney are of course. Glad you've still got the car.
  14. ZOMG finally caught up to the thread. I shouldn't have started from April... Congrats to all the SAUers out giving it a go and then some. Must be a weird feeling for some on streeters if you're used to semi's. I don't remember the last time I did OP on streeters. Did we have this discussion already or does it seem like Federal 595RS shouldn't really be classed as semis? I've have a pair and I love them but would class them as grippy street tyres that wear very well on the track. They would make a good control tyre for the class if they have the sizes available. Also, does anyone know how the evo managed to roll it? I'm never confidant I've got the right line over the flip flop.
  15. Yeah it's one of those things they often get wrong. You have to be insistent and make them read the law again. I've often wondered if you could just go to a dyno and do something like knock 20 degrees out of your timing, take the dyno printout to the tester and say, "look, peak power at 3500rpm and only 85kw too. db test is at 3/4 of that. "
  16. Actually it's 3/4 of the revs where it makes max power when stock.
  17. I might have one in my garage...
  18. Good luck.
  19. The box alone is worth at least $1500.
  20. I think you were always allowed to stop in a no parking zone but they have just clarified what stopping means. 2 minutes or under. Bob will not be happy to hear of this rubbish. He always rides on the tank of my bike. Loves it. Has done thousands of km on there.
  21. You don't need a secondary Chubb. It's only cars made before 1986 akaik.
  22. I had strange pinging in the midrange and took it to Mark at Hills. He put an oscilloscope on it and found a dirty earth signal was interfering with the CAS signal and causing it to randomly jump to 40 degrees advances.
  23. Did the oil come out the dipstick tube?
  24. What tyres you running Chubb?
