  1. Go the diff. The gears in your gear box are all suited to each other. $1200 to get a 1.5 way fitted roughly. Less for second hand and less again for non mechanical LSD.
  2. People are usually very polite about it. Keep an eye out for the faster cars before you get on the track and then move over and wave them past when they come up behind you. Hopefully others will do the same for you. Watch out for wankers in evos diving under you on brakes in the kink at the end of the straight and stay away from all the S15's. They can't drive
  3. Not sure if that link is working. It's in this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...dpost&p=1550791
  4. They are good. I'm going tomorrow if anyone is keen to join me. $40 Wakefield licence, $90 for the day. Passengers allowed but they pay the same as drivers. Weekends are busier for sure but you will still get plenty of track time. There have been heaps on there lately so it shouldn't be too crowded for you. Make sure you prepare your car beforehand and keep your eye out for fellow skyliners to talk to. I wrote this ages ago which you may find useful. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...pe=post&id=2785
  5. We will be organising a club one very soon.
  6. Damn.
  7. It's lean before it gets to that point. I had the Walbro. Doesn't seem to flow very well up high. Ditched it.
  8. Well my dyno sheet seems to have disappeared from that post but in the meantime my engine blew up and I had to get it rebuilt. Now has Tomei Poncams Type B 260/260 and reduced compression ratio of 8.75:1. No other changes. Running 0.9 bar boost I now get 255rwkw
  9. I think it's time I went to see what time I can get as long as it's not raining. Who else is going? I'll be there around 4:30. What's the go with trying to line up with other SAUers? I've never been to a wednesday night drag session.
  10. Check the group buy section for shift kits. As for shift kits making it harder on the box - it's the opposite. The changes are happening faster so less heat. heat is what kills autos. I killed mine the day I hit 220rwkw, but I had 190 for a fair while before that and went to the track often which is where I suspect I killed it - HEAT. I now have a temperature gauge hooked up and am told to keep it below 130 degreesC.
  11. Whoa there nellie!!!!!!! I don't think the direction of the flow is going to be an issue.
  12. It needs the stock ECU to change gears otherwise it just stays stuck in 3rd gear permanently.
  13. We're waiting...
  14. You can buy certain bends already made up from places like GCG Turbochargers, Micks Metalcraft and plenty of others. You are basically making you own kit up.
  15. Most coolers it doesn't matter but occasionally it does. Can you post a pic of it?
  16. Got your sms doodz. We did end up going north but realised I didn't have your number stan... sorry about that. twas a fun night out. Met a couple of excellent people. We all behaved ourselves nicely and no dramas... except for someone not bolting their wheels on... well they all stayed on so no dramas there. Sorry I took us the wrong way there. Lucky someone could read my mind about which road I was talking about. Darko I forgot to get that cd back. Don't lose it I love that cd. How funny was it when we all pulled up to regroup and then realised we had parked right out front of the cop shop! The cops that came up to me said "we normally have to chase you guys, not the other way round"
  17. see you there
  18. Come on people. It's not going to rain any more. I'm just making dinner. See you all there... or I'll just play spot the skyline with myself.
  19. Brakes are probably fine. Suspension has probably got a completely knackered bush or something has broken. You should be able to tell with it up in the air. Get a big long lever and move things around to see. Get a mate to turn the steering wheel and shake the (road) wheel while you look.
  20. Ok the rain has finished for the night I think. Meet at 9pm at this homebush p6 place (gotta figure out where it is now) for 9:30 leave. doodz (or anyone else) give me a call to find out where we are when you finish work. Palm beach is fine but we shall talk about it in person which will be novel... see you all there.
  21. I just had a look under my 4 door R34 and it does look difficult. One side is fine but the other side is blocked by the exhaust. It would be possible if you removed your spare tyre and modified the well where it goes. Then the bar could go over the exhaust and drop down for the tow ball in the middle. Would need to modify the rear bar as well. Ie cut a bit out of it.
  22. Like being a moderator is ticket to fame... Slims first post says what you need to know.
  23. One thing I don't quite understand is that the stall speed stock was theoretically 1500rpm but it plainly does not stall at those revs. Mine is supposedly 1800 so treat this information as relative to itself only. I have noticed that mine locks and unlocks a lot more than it used to although fuel economy is the same as it ever was even though I've gone from 189rwkw to 255rwkw. It doesn't unlock on cruise per se, just say you are cruising at 60km/h and then hit a slight incline it will unlock. To be expected really. It's kind of like having extra gears in between. You wouldn't have too much power with a higher stally, just need better tyres. The Valvebody upgrade (I think that's what you meant) is good because it will keep things cooler when shifting. I suggest you get a temperature gauge for your auto so you know what it's doing. I have just done this and it has given me a much greater appreciation of what is going on in there.
  24. Is that the old HPI project R34?
  25. Firstly, you do know that getting proper Jap body kit parts is a very expensive excercise don't you? I would suggest you try ringing Powerplay Imports in Drummoyne, Sydney. They have lots of contacts over there.
