  1. Jeez man! You really do find it easy to offend people on here. I get along just fine with you on the phone and in person but think about what you're typing. It wasn't a hasty decision in the slightest. I took the longest time I could reasonably take given the situation. I would have had plenty more complaints if I said lets race, we got started at say 11am and then the rain came back washing the whole thing out.
  2. I am cancelling the day because WSID have not responded to me for over a week now and therefore nothing has been confirmed. New thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=95718
  3. I am cancelling the day because WSID have not responded to me for over a week now and therefore nothing has been confirmed. We will endeavour to organise another SAU drag day in around March next year but until then we will still be fighting WSID to get our money back. Basically what happened was that after the last day was cancelled due to rain, WSID told me that they would be charging us $1330.90 in cancellation fees. This was contrary to what I had been up to that point led to believe by them and so you can understand that I was not happy. There is another issue outstanding and that is WSID want to ban all cars faster than 11.000 from our days. Again, this was not a rule we knew about beforehand which not only affects the people that run faster than 11.000 but also affects the numbers of entrants. I want to stress that both of these issues are still sensitive and unresolved which means that discretion in relation to what you say, where you say it and to whom you say it is required from everybody reading this. We await a response from WSID and will go from there. In the meantime we will endeavour to refund everybody although as WSID still have our $4000 deposit we will not be able to do this in full at the moment. Please post your attitude to being one of the later people to be refunded. Thank you.
  4. Go the SAU community!
  5. I used to use a battery charger for power to my car stereo when it was in the house. Fairly cheap option but not sure you would have the amps for a big system.
  6. IT was ok when E_Lu-sHun came along because he was the yin to my yang (or vice versa:)) but now these 4 doors are everywhere... SEND IT BACK! Just kidding. Nice one mate. Welcome. When I get mine running again I will come to a cruise so hopefully we can get a few 4 doors there to lift the quality of the group.
  7. I have a ROM tune in my car which I know to be rich with quite advanced timing. I think I might do a couple of dyno runs, before and after. Might fiddle with the CAS too and see what happens.
  8. My questions to them.
  9. If you pull base timing you will find the car sluggish off boost and lose responsivness. If only dropping a couple of degrees then it shouldn't be too bad though. To open the fuel tank you need a hammer and a stick of wood. Make sure you are turning it the right way and just bang on it. It can be pretty bloody tight. Put a little grease on the thread when you put it back on to make your life easier later on.
  10. An rb26 with??? 9's in the R34 isn't too common. Well done.
  11. Update is there is no update. I am waiting on a response from WSID and have been since monday morning.
  12. There are some out there. Just gotta find the thread.
  13. That's what I'm trying to do.
  14. I think I saw a thread on the aftermath of that about a year ago. It was a corolla I think. He just didn't do anything when it started to let go!! ahaha.
  15. Done. Seriously looking at doing this now. I have some available dates and prices from Eastern Creek. Looking at a weekend, pref sunday late jan or early feb.
  16. If I had your email address...
  17. I thought that it runs leaner so with a leanish PFC tune you should be very careful. With stock ECU's and mods that make it run naturally rich it might be good but may have to increase the base timing to get the full effect.
  18. Why don't you install it and see how it goes? If you are doing all the work yourself it shouldn't cost you much to do it.
  19. I think there is something wrong with SAU atm because I've had trouble today with other attachments people have posted. Email me at sarpi at punkass dot com and I will forward it to anyone who asks. Also, given the interest shown here I am seriously considering setting up and SAU skid pan day perhaps in late January. I know it's hot but it's not hard on the cars as you have cool down periods in between runs.
  20. Maybe new rails could be fabricated that are longer. I don't know that you could do that at home though. I'm also 6'5" (nearly 6'6") and I have no real problems with my R34. I need to lay the seat back a bit when wearing a helmet though. Maybe you could get a race style seat (I think Ducan can get them ) as this would sit you lower giving you more headroom. Do those seats need new rails?
  21. i think there is more to it than that. New Zealand has an insane variety of cars.
  22. I think this is the right form. AM_Event_Booking_Form_.pdf
  23. But the exhaust housing looks bigger so I'd be guessing VG30.
  24. I can't remember the part no. for the fuel filter but any repco or that sort of place has it in their system and in stock. There's not much you can do with the r34 trans to service it except change the fluid. I put about 7 litres of fluid in there last time but 5 the time before I think. The problem is that the torque converter can't be drained properly. When I did the valvebody the thing continuously dripped fluid for 3 weeks. The filter shouldn't really need changing at this stage. Mine had 80 odd thou on the clock but the filter was pretty clean. You can actually remove it and clean it with a rag if you want as well as getting the stuff that sticks to the magnet out. Just drain the fluid, remove the pan, then remove the filter which is the plate thing bolted to the bottom of the valvebody with a square hole in it. You need a new pan gasket from somewhere and some gasket goop and away you go. It's a really messy job so have several clean rags (you don't want any contaminants in your trans) and lots of newspaper handy.
