  1. Turbo cars have no scavenging effect afaik. I don't think that's normal if you use 98 octane fuel Geoff. I wouldn't put anything less in a Skyline.
  2. No but I bet someone will be along shortly to tell you. A number of people on here use him.
  3. Greg at Autosports did mine and also at least 2 other R34's that I know of. I sourced my own parts so I couldn't tell you the cost of those sorry. He will be able to tell you which ones to get though. Lucky you guys get the experience that Autosports gained with earlier cars because I paid more than that. Totally happy with the job in case you're curious.
  4. Go and see Nathan at Mt White.
  5. You just need to soak them. Wet a sponge and sit it on there for a couple of hours. Peels off easy then.
  6. $20 says he owns no car.
  7. Note to self - remember to make note to self. Happy to see it's all worked out without my input.
  8. Ta Ben. Bummer Jas, hope everything is alright. Anyone else?
  9. I know a couple of people have offered to help but can I please just confirm I need one or two people who can promise to be there by 8:30am at the latest and can time the sessions and man the flags for me. Two people is good cos they keep an eye on each other and keep each other company. It's highly unlikely that you will get stuck doing it all day if you don't want to as there will be other people around who can take over. I just need you to commit to the morning.
  10. Gotcha. I'll start you in group 2 but you can move up to group 3 after the first session if you need it.
  11. More information then please. Have you done any other track? Have you got a lot of power? GTR or GTST?
  12. Are you expecting to be fast? People will be moved as appropriate but we hope to get groupings as close as possible before the day starts.
  13. I just updated this in the first post. Gates open officially at 8am although they usually appear to be open by about 7:30. Sign on from 8am. Scruitineering at the scruitineering shed from 8am until 8:40. Drivers briefing and full track walk around at 8:40am - ALL DRIVERS MUST ATTEND. First session which will be noobs 9am. Remember there are a lot of people to get signed on so can I suggest that noobs get there as early as possible, sign on before doing anything else then get your car ready and scruitineered. Scruitineering will stop at 8:40 for the drivers briefing and start again for the stragglers at 9. The scruitineering will be done at the shed behind the garages. Two lines, noobs to the left, the rest to the right. Bring your helmet and what you will be wearing on the track as all this needs to pass scruitineering too.
  14. Actually it's just changed. Passengers do not need a license but the purpose of passengers is "driver training". Albert - I might have some for you. Scott - Don't worry I already put you in the second fastest group. Groups will be announced shortly.

  17. Hey anna I just edited your first post to add a +1 for me.
  18. It's waive Doof, waive.
  19. Yep next to the bed is a good spot. They go hard outside though, not soft. Nice one Raul.
  20. It's a pretty common recommendation for RB's Jase. More oil than usual will be in the head due to the oil pump being able to move oil up there faster than it can drain down. This is done to protect the head but it can leave the bottom end unprotected. This is why big dollar rebuilds often include restrictors in the feeds and sometimes an external drain back. It's not like it's needed 90% of the time but it's just a little precaution that is cheap and easy to do.
  21. Yes they are unidirectional so yes the tyre shop should make sure they are put on the rims correctly. Yes bleeding your brakes is one of the most important things you can do before the track day, as is putting an extra litre of oil in. Castrol Super Dot 4 from supercheap at about $11 will do the trick for brake fluid. If you are good you can bleed them with one bottle but get two to be sure.
  22. October 6.
  23. Lots of trouble lots of fine big bad defect.
  24. I did a track day on them too. It was like driving on ice. Neil and Michele, we will make a proper decision tonight or tomorrow.
