Wtb: Gearbox For R34
Abo Bob replied to Mean_R34's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
So I am presuming you have switched the car off and then on again because that fixes the problem with my car. I would try an ECU reset for sure. Perhaps one of the solenoids has died. Check the manual, you can download it from here somewhere. -
Well the Defamation Act (NSW) 1995 was just assented to this week so at least we will have some uniformity with regard to defamation law. * Assented on 26/10/2005 - Act No 77 of 2005. * See Digest 10 of 2005, dated 20/09/2005 for an examination of this Bill by the Legislation Review Committee. Long Title An Act to enact in New South Wales provisions to promote uniform laws of defamation in Australia; to repeal the Defamation Act 1974; to amend the Crimes Act 1900 in relation to criminal defamation; to amend the Limitation Act 1969 in relation to the limitation period for defamation actions; and for other purposes. Explanatory Notes Defamation Bill 2005 Explanatory note This explanatory note relates to this Bill as introduced into Parliament. Overview of Bill In November 2004, the Attorneys General of the States and Territories agreed to support the enactment in their respective jurisdictions of uniform model provisions in relation to the law of defamation (the model provisions). At the time of the agreement, each State and Territory had different laws governing the tort of defamation. Tasmania and Queensland codified their civil law of defamation. The other jurisdictions retained the common law, but supplemented or altered it to varying degrees by enacting differing statutory provisions. The States and Territories also had different laws governing the offence of criminal defamation. In New South Wales, the civil law of defamation is predominantly governed by the common law as modified and supplemented by the Defamation Act 1974 of New South Wales. The law of criminal defamation is partly codified by Part 5 of that Act. The Summary of existing defamation laws at the end of this Explanatory note summarises the position in each jurisdiction in relation to the tort of defamation and criminal defamation. The object of this Bill is to enact the model provisions agreed to by the Attorneys General of the States and Territories. The principal features of the model provisions are: (a) the retention (with some modifications) of the common law of defamation to determine civil liability for defamation, and (B) the abolition of the distinction at common law between slander and libel, and © the creation of a statutory cap on the amount of damages for non-economic loss that may be awarded in civil proceedings for defamation, and (d) the enactment of provisions to facilitate the resolution of civil disputes about the publication of defamatory matter without litigation, and (e) the delineation of the respective roles of juries and judicial officers in the jury trial of civil proceedings for defamation by limiting the role of juries to the determination of whether a person has been defamed and leaving the award of damages to judicial officers, and (f) the abolition of exemplary and punitive damages in civil proceedings for defamation, and (g) the establishment of truth alone as a defence to a civil action for defamation, and (h) the imposition of a limitation period for civil actions for defamation of 1 year, subject to an extension (in limited circumstances) to a period of up to 3 years following publication. etc. etc. Not sure if this link will work but... http://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/prod/parl...?Open&shownotes

Sorry mate, was just going from memory.

I think I have a problem with caution for cautions sake or undue caution. Although, CF bonnets are illegal because they shatter (supposedly) on impact rather than crumple like normal bonnets so the risk of cutting a pedestrian in half rather than just pulverising them is greatly increased. I still think I'm right :D but I wouldn't put a CF bonnet on my car if I lived in Vic. See you all ringside for the next one

Blitz was selling some of these.

ECR033 and doodz have agreed to help with the bbq so they are on the list. Blitz was on the list to help bbq but doesn't seem keen anymore so maybe you can get on someone elses list. Seems to be plenty of room atm. Benm was on the list but has since got on someone elses list. Actually ben, I think your last name starts with L and ends with ner but that doesn't accord with your user name. Can you pm me your last name for the list or confirm that the L name is right. I could do with one or two more hands at the bbq if anyone wants to volunteer they will get on the list. BLK180 I'll bring stickers on the day mate. They have been ordered but I don't have them yet. Also, as per my other post. Give me your list of names!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@#!@$~!@#%!#$%@&! Can everyone please get their list of names to me asap. Copy this form: Driver: Pit Crew: Pit Crew: Spectator: Spectator: Spectator: Photographer: and email it to me. sarpi at punkass dot com Deadline for names is 2/11 but I'd rather you all had them to me this week.

Doesn't sound good. Does it still idle smoothly? Sounds a little like blow by from broken piston. Stock ECU?

Big news everyone. Zoom and HPI magazines are sponsoring the day now so there will be a bunch of prizes to give away for things like pb (honesty required), fastest reaction time, most improved, etc. Zoom will also be there on the day so make sure your cars are clean!

Hey, maybe I thought it was a bit too quiet around here You don't post in Vic?? You mean NSW? There are a few people who occasionally post in NSW. It's funny but in the Qld. they don't seem to like anyone else coming in and now in Vic too... I've never seen a NSW person tell anyone else they are not welcome in NSW. I didn't even notice that this thread was in Vic until you said that. Now here's a spooky correlation. Qld and Vic both have more hardcore policing than NSW. doodoodoodoo doodoodoodoo... Also, I have lived in every state and territory in Australia except for Tasmania so perhaps I just don't understand the parochialism. Can I rephrase my original post to 'don't be so precious'? Can anyone combat my original point that people post plenty of other illegal mods to your car but for some reason CF bonnets make them all shy? Those 740cc injectors of yours Nismoid - make it easy to pass emmisions? But anyway, maybe you've got a point and for some reason Vic coppers have a thing about CF bonnets. Do they? And why don't you just tell me what happened on NS so I don't have to search their entire website. ps. this is just a friendly argument ok, no offence intended. It's my self appointed mission in life to question behaviour.

yup first and last.

The hardest thing is getting the 3 bolts underneath the plenum out. I tried to get the fuel rail out without removing the top half of the plenum and it was really close but couldn't do it. You need a slim fit socket and short thin extension bar for it. Apart from that pretty easy.
-
I use the GCG one. It works fine. At least it's metal and not cardboard.
-
ffs. As if saying on here that you have CF bonnet will get you a visit from the cops. As someone said, you drive around with the bloody thing on so what's the diff? How many of us post that we have bigger injectors, turbo etc and get visits from the cops or the epa? What a wank.

Got Minties payment. Tommo - since hardly anyone has given me their list there is still hope for you.
-

I hate to disagree with people I like but f**k that's a lot of money to fix something that's not really broken. My girlfriends R31 has 4 broken studs in the same style as you have explained. It's a very common thing in Nissan engines. I haven't bothered replacing the studs that are broken because there is no exhaust leak. It's been like that for at least a year. Prior to that it had 2 missing with the stock exhaust manifold but I discovered the problem when putting some extractors on. I broke another 2 then and the car is fine. Please do replace the turbo to manifold gasket. I did this at a track day on my R34 and that is necessary because the thing is leaking. I suggest you save your money until (or for if) the manifold leaks and I bet it doesn't because it has a nice seal already. I just removed the exhaust manifold from my R34 a couple of hours ago and even with every nut and bolt removed it required some real effort to separate it from the head.

Can't remember but they made threads about it so you'll be able to find them with some searching.

Hks 2530 Bigger? What Will I Need?
Abo Bob replied to DriftSquad's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Some of you should realise that there are 2 kinds of GT-RS's. The ones that go on the SR's are slightly smaller than the ones that go on the RB25's (and RB20 if someone were to do that). A GT-RS on an RB20 would be way too laggy IMO. -
I laughed so hard.
-
These people haven't paid yet and might just get their arses kicked if they don't very soon. OFENSV Bu5ter silver gts-t - for all his mates. Mintie
