  1. 17" for the money.
  2. I heard that the s15 JDM manual injectors are 440cc???
  3. Goood to hear you guys had some fun today. Putty road is nice.
  4. What kind of car is it?
  5. Got it. What about piston speed? That would be increased wouldn't it? Do you guys use ordinary cast pistons rather than forgies to keep the piston weight down? Is there any weakness that is shown up by piston speeds that are too high? I think I know what I'm asking but I might be wrong.
  6. Thanks for the well wishes. Why is that pred? It pinged it arse off.
  7. 10-12psi 12 on the street but 10 on the track.
  8. I'm going over to wrxhoons place on sunday to do the compression and leak down tests and we'll go from there. It's a bit of a worry. It seems that the NEO RB30 should be possible.
  9. A 180 degree bend would turn back on itself like a U.
  10. I already have a GCG highflow. I think the RB30 would work well with the auto too. I do take it to the track though. Will stock RB30 rods be ok?
  11. I'm sorry guys but I can't seem to work out how to search just in this thread. Nor can I seem to download the thread as a whole to search on my computer. And When I go to print view it only shows about 100 posts. Anyway. I have a couple of questions. Has anyone done this with a NEO RB25 head yet? Is it possible? Do I have to remove the strut brace in my GTT to fit this? It looks like I need a rebuild and I'm keen for some more torque. EDIT I found the search this thread button sorry guys. It seems the R34 RB25 head is pretty much the same. Has anyone actually used it though?
  12. A bit more oil in the catch can yes. Blow by I haven't noticed. Thanks Newkleer. Doesn't look like helping though Duncan - are you saying I could borrow your compression testing gauge if only you knew where it was? I'm off to the RB30det thread. :):)
  13. It could be the sun shining into the lens and refracting or some other technical thing.
  14. Is the clicking noise related to the speed of the engine or the speed of the car? Could be a hole in the turbo to exhaust manifold gasket.
  15. Thank Flaps. Thanks RXB05S. No suspension work at all yet Duncan but I have some bilsteins waiting to go in.
  16. I improved by 3 seconds actually. 1:15 to 1:12. I also have about 30 more rwkw but my new transmission is a bit different than the old one which required some learning. I would say that I'll get a 1:11 next time down with current setup but I have some bilsteins waiting to go in, still got stock suspension. I'd love to do a 1:10 in an auto.
  17. Ok I will do a compression test. I just got another opinion from a quality engine builder. Not looking good.
  18. What's with it? I haven't seen it yet.
  19. I'm not too sure I said all those things attributed to me but it's all good. Nice pic of the R34 with R31House sticker. Mark, you got quoted too. Pics were - I'm in a couple of times, Reedy's car, 2rismo doing a burnout, closeup of N2O sticker and another taking off down the strip. MSP25T with bonnet up, silver-gtst, Andrea/Brads RB26 S14 doing a MASSIVE burnout, all of us standing around at the driver briefing, TWO.06L, UREADY, someones engine bay with sort of mauve valve covers (RB26) and some rotors.
  20. It's a stock but chipped ECU. I used the reset function through the consult but I don't know if that does the same thing as a proper reset.
  21. Is this thread still going? Good quote to pick cc. Busted Geoff. I've also heard about spectators beings charged to see non-professional drifting. Bad form. I can also understand fatz' boredom with circuit. He's been there done that. Similar to Doughboy being bored with drag racing because he has got everything he can get out of his car. The other side to that is the people who do still enjoy circuit racing after they have stopped improving their lap times (don't know who they are) and people like 2rismo who keep racing and improving in tiny increments with lots of little tweaks. I think comparing drifting and surfing is the best idea. If one is a sport then the other one is. Now what happens if I have been standing in a room with Troy and Geoff for 5 years. "Hi Troy, Hi Geoff" "Hi Adam" "Hi Adam" Now who should walk in the room but adzmax. Now if Geoff says, "Do you want a beer Adam?" how are any of us to know who he is talking to? Perhaps we could add some handy prefixes to our names like Driftadam and Gripadam.
  22. Mine let go at 0.91 bar. Ben is right but I think the R33 series one has the steel compressor wheel and R33 series 2 has nylon like the R34. I think 12psi is fine for the street but not for the track or strip.
  23. I do it a servo so you are on camera. Ask for their licence then text the licence number and their car rego to a friend. If they are genuinely interested it shouldn't be a problem.
