  1. You don't have to drive at 100% you know. It's still fun at 85%.
  2. Ages ago a guy did a thread on this exact thing with heaps of instructions. I couldn't be bothered searching for it because I don't have the problem but I think he used the oven method with success after hearing the rumour that it worked then you use the black silicone that they use for glass seals, windscreens etc.
  3. Looks nice but I reackon you could get $2k off that price.
  4. Thanks for that. The website is down but I got it from google cache. It seems to be reasonably accurate although I often wonder about the difference in power delivery and torque between engines, particularly as the calculator was probably set up with mainly v8 data.
  5. If your cooling system is in good condition then it wont matter at all.
  6. I use those Nismo 480cc injectors.
  7. I have a ski tube but they don't fold down.
  8. It seems a large part of the membership has lost their access and the means to fix the problem was only communicated about an hour ago so as soon as Duncan gets time he will fix it all.
  9. It happened to me
  10. I don't think so. I've got some corners to go around.
  11. I don't think that's true because they didn't make them at any time after they were sold here. They did however make them in Japan in 1998 before they sold them here and I believe you can import those ones.
  12. I'm guessing you also have a front pipe in there? To have an after market dump and cat back with stock front pipe would be weird. It's not an increase in lag you get from a bigger intercooler it's an increase in response and yes it is real. Most R34's don't gain any power from a fmic alone. That said, if you are upping the boost at the same time then the increased power will make up for the decreased response. I'd say get a PowerFC and a decent electronic boost controller. If you do any sort of motorsport then get a front mount too otherwise save your money for when your coils die, which they will, and some new iridium spark plugs. Don't forget to drop the plug gap down to 0.8 when inceasing the boost.
  13. So how 'bout that drag day eh?
  14. You don't need a 3 L bottom end to run low 11's. MZRB26 has a s14 with RB26 run 11.2 recently but probably has more in it. Also with the 3L you might have some real trouble getting a bonnet on.
  15. I personally don't like the intercooler piping going back over in front of the engine above the fan but apart from that, what you have described is fine. As for heat soak, I wouldn't worry about it for your desired level of performance.
  16. I was stalling it. I was expecting more - I had an unrelated problem so I'll try again soon. mph up by about 4. Stock is 1500 stall but now i think it's about 1800-2000.
  17. ping and hurt engine. I did it once. I put 2 bottles of octane boost in and drove around with no boost until it ran out.
  18. My 60's were 2.08 or something like that with stock turbo but 2.2 with highflow. Went from 13.8 to 13.5. This is an auto R34.
  19. Isn't that where ceffie had his ceffie stolen? gla d you got it back.
  20. If there's nothing coming out then why do you have the hoses? Do you live in Bagladesh?
  21. Just noticing the plug that into the 1/4 mile calculator comment. Do you (SK) or anyone else, have a spreadsheet or something to plug these sorts of things into. I'm presuming you enter your weight, 2wd or 4wd and ask how much power you need for the time you request.
  22. I think it's pretty much the same as the GTT. I used the biggest phillips head I had and unscrewed the bolts but then it still appears to be stuck. What's happening is that the screws/bolts go through these plastic clips and push them outwards thus holding them in tight. When you undo the bolts the plastic doesn't immediately go back to it's easy to pull through shape because the bolts have been in there for years. You can either pull them through with some force or reach right up and squeeze them from above with your fingers before pulling the front bar down.
  23. You mean vent all over the underside of your car.
  24. I think it ends up being nearly 3.1 L. If petrol is the problem you could always just keep the standard turbo and keep the skyline
  25. I'm not going first but let us know what happens if you do it.
