  1. Peter Jackson did a few good movies early on. Bad Taste Brain Dead - which was awesome and Meet the Feebles - which is like the muppets on drugs.
  2. Zoolander was excellent. "It's not like we think we're actually in a control tower trying to reach outer space. Hello. Hello." And Malkovic was cool too but my gf can't stand it. The worst ever has to be Killer Clowns From Outer Space.
  3. Extra doors, extra weight?... haha I do have a modified valvebody but I didn't when I did the 1:15's the day I got the 1:15.52 I got about 5 other 1:15.xx laps with my 90+kg dad in the passenger seat. I'm going down monday week to see what I can do now.
  4. I heard that 'american tourist' was actually an aussie who lived over there for a while but had an american licence still because his aussie one was suspended for doing something similar before.
  5. Phew!
  6. There will be some fast Skylines John. A certain well known car looks like undergoing a turbo upgrade this week. Since this day is a joint SAU RENEW day there will also be some quick rotaries. 8.5 ET quick enough?
  7. What time?
  8. You will be able to get day ones.
  9. Gates open 7:30 am Sign on 8am to 10am. All drivers must sign on. If a second driver doesn't sign on at this time they can't drive later in the day. Please check in with me as well. I'm really tall and have a white R34 4 door. If you can't find me you probably can't find the track either. Racing starts 10 am Lunch 1-1:30pm (no racing) Finish racing 4pm. It is basically street meet rules. You must bring your car rego and if the car is not registered in your name you must bring a letter form the owner saying that you are authorised to race the car at WSID. Long sleeves - cotton. Non flamable clothing. Proper shoes. Helmets. All required. As Brad has stated. There will be no leniency on unlisted spectators so make sure you have your list to me asap. Anyone not listed will be turned away at the gates.
  10. Can I please have some more pm space? I'm getting up to 10 pms a day now and my box gets full too quick. Also, Christian, you said I could have a [email protected] email address. Can I please get this happening? Anyone who can help, should feel free . Thanks be for anyone who can help me. Please please please.
  11. Hardly anyone tries to drag me. I've also done 1:15 at wakefield while fairly stock and 13.8 at the strip. The chaser back there looked good but not the stock ones.
  12. Possibly two.06l but there are a couple of dark horses lurking.
  13. About 20 directly from SAU. There are a few spots taken by friends of SAUers. NXTIME - Join the club, take some pics and post them. We will all be happy with that.
  14. I doubt it Bass. Be careful with that pump.
  15. I wonder what the go is then. I don't have enough neg camber or caster so my outside fronts wear very quickly.
  16. That's a bit harsh. Damn Struggletown dwellers... Just kidding. I had a bit of a chat with the owner and he admitted to me in his first sentence that it wasn't a real one. Also I didn't ask him where he bought it but I think I know the car from before. Powerplay imported it and then it belonged to a guy in Qld. Powerplay then resold it probably to this guy. It was the Qld guy who turned it into a Nur. He is not on the forums but he did join the club on sunday. Owns a wrecking yard I think.
  17. And we are taking constructive critisism at face value. Meh - I had a pretty good time. A shitload of other people had a pretty good time. We all win. Yay for us:). No one has any need to get antsy. Nothing is perfect. Life goes on. I'll be seeing you all at the Drag Day, the Putty Road Cruise, the next Track Day, one of the monthly dinners, a drift event, a skid pan day, any other cruises, track or drag days not already planned, or next years Show and Shine.
  18. The Nur is not a real Nur. As far as I know there are only 2 of them in the country, a third one arrives fairly soon. The guy found out about the event the night before and took it to a carwash that morning where they did a very average job on it. I think only an owner knows how to get his/her car properly clean. Satanic said he put 4 hours into cleaning his car, which he thought was a lot. I put 6 into mine to not even enter it. I know some would have put up around 20 over a few days. The Judges could tell who had put the effort into cleaning their car and the points were appropriately awarded.
  19. I would have thought that RACEBRAKES would know about brakes.
  20. Some RSL's and clubs are bad and I wouldn't want to go to them but some are good. You would have to pick carefully and we would need a couple of people to vouch for them. What is this Bungalow 8 thing? More info please. All that said, I'm not sure we can come to this one. Gotta see how some other things go first.
  21. Coils do die but once replaced you can forget them. They are very reliable unmodified but you can show up slightly weaker area with modification. The same is true for any car. They don't get the dodgy squeaks and rattles, bad door closing/openings and stuff so much though so that is good.
