  1. Adgey got you booked in now. Brad give me a call. I am organising who goes in which cabin. I will post up soon.
  2. Sure. I'll get money from people on the night at the pub or something.
  3. I am interested. Low down grunt will help but weight wont. Please do Raul.
  4. Sifnt Albert, sifnt.
  5. Well I can confirm that it looks shit hot in the flesh. Those stickers are much better and more subtle in the real. I saw it dyno'd at nearly 300awkw which seems about right from what I've heard.
  6. Not too bad an idea, but I doubt many companies would put their hand up to be whitelisted. It would also probably scare off potential sponsors of the club if it was a requirement. It's my fault Duncan. I just wanted to give them a place to vent. Most forums I'm on delete posts far more often than we do. A lot of places don't even tell people what's going on or allow discussion on it. Stuff just gets deleted and if you ask questions you get banned. The mods here are a fairly sane and normal bunch. We are conservative because we think it's necessary on here. It doesn't mean we don't hold private views that are slightly different from those we post. We just act conservatively to protect Prank, the forum and the club. They are important; we as individuals are not as important.
  7. And the L2S on the day too, although for anyone reading this, it's not our preferred method, however we want you all there.
  8. Neither of you are too late. Jump in! As mentioned we can provide a CAMS licence or a AASA licence on the day.
  9. Consider yourself rebutted.
  10. What matters is where it is seen. The only way you can use overseas arrangements is if the forum is owned by a company incorporated in one of these dodgy places and it's hosted there too.
  11. That's like a rocket compared to the old days although they have been quicker than that more recently.
  12. If anyone mentions or even hints at a workshop name there will be warnings and/or bannings handed out. As for the whole concept of slander and the like. Go for it.
  13. You tell me. You will have to organise this with them however I will flag it with them. Are there any coasties or others from your way staying the extra night?
  14. And this is why we don't like threads on workshops on SAU. There are bad stories about every workshop out there I can absolutely guarantee you. People love holding grudges is something else I can guarantee you. Mark has tuned my car and did a great job. He also fixed a very strange issue it had that would have been very difficult to diagnose. In the end though, who cares? There are opinions good and bad about every workshop and there are fanboys and haters as well. By all means ask around for opinions but bear in mind that everyone has an angle, good, bad or indifferent. In the end you have to find the workshop that suits you and makes you feel comfortable. Thread closed.
  15. I'll take 4th place then.
  16. They see each other from across the room. They kiss. Consummation!
  17. I should be there + 1. How many have we got now?
  18. Ok, since Texikhana is held at the Sutton Road complex which is on the outskirts of Canberra the event is a road trip and accommodation is going to be required for most people. Last year a lot of people stayed at Eaglehawk which has cabins that can sleep a fair few people. The cabins usually have one double bed and bunches of bunks. They charge I think $85 first up then $15 per person after the first one. Usually couples take the big bed and everyone else takes a bunk. They can sleep heaps but 4 or 5 is probably most comfortable, particularly when it comes to showers. So it ends up around $30-35 which is pretty cheap. Eaglehawk is located at the other end of Sutton road to the Sutton Road Driver Training Complex. It's about 20km. There is a pub there with decent food so what usually happens is that everyone makes their way down on saturday when they can - no doubt there will be a number of groups going - and then we all end up at the pub for drinking and eating until they close at about midnight. Sunday is race day. It's a great social weekend away. What I want to do with this thread is have everyone who wants accommodation post up here. I will group you up - or you can do it yourselves and let me know - then we will arrange the bookings. 19. When it runs out of rego is when you need to get one.
  20. What's funny for one person is not always funny for everyone else. Anyway, I actually agree with Joe partially. I suggest you go down to Wakefield to one of their open days. Check here for upcoming days. $50 for the licence, $90 I think for the day on the track, you can hire a helmet there or borrow one off a mate. Drive around and report back to us on the fun you had. Now if you get into it this may not be the best value long term but it's one of the cheapest ways to start. The alternative as suggested by a number of people here is joining a club, this one or another, and going to their events. For this you will get a bunch of nice people to hang out with and ask advice from. There are plenty of little tips that people can tell you from their own experiences that can make it more fun for you. The Texikhana we have coming up is another good event. Last year a Toyota Starlet came 2nd. It's basically a road trip/weekend away and plenty of fun.
  21. Isn't it already registered? If you mean just transfer the rego into your name then you don't need a RWC at all.
  22. You're such a knob Joe. If you don't like us so much why don't you just leave of your own accord instead of provoking us to ban you?
  23. Oh so now you're trying to make me feel guilty for being a bastard. Thanks very much.
