  1. Any more boost than stock? Maybe plugs - maybe coils.
  2. It's litre in Australia. I kicked some 6 litre butt at Oran Park a little while ago. Then I blew my turbo (was stock then). You should have seen them gloating.
  3. You line up for ages. Then you get ushered to a car shaped spot where you stopand wait. Then you get ushered to the start line - you can do a burnout in the water on the way if you like. You creep forward till both white staging lights are lit. The orange lights go. Green light - go for it. Keep suspension soft as you can.
  4. 2 crew and 3 spectators allowed. Must be pre named or they will not get in on the day. ID will be asked for.
  5. Spotted a yellow R34 GTR yesterday and R34NOS a couple of days ago.
  6. Excellent. Gotta be happy with that.
  7. Rare Spares stock this sort of stuff. I think their website is something like www.rarespares.com.au
  8. Strange noise would be associated with something being wrong or the diff not being a V-LSD. Ie, a mechanical 1, 1.5 or 2 way would make clunking noises around corners. More related to this thread, I spoke to 2 diff places who said they would be happy to shim the diff, although they called it something else I can't remember now, but said it would probably blow up in about 6 months and I shouldn't waste my time. Also said it's nowhere near as good as a mechanical one.
  9. We will be organising some accomodation shortly. Luke - I come from Canberra. Nath - excellent.
  10. Tried suggesting east every 2nd month but never a taker. Good restaurants but I don't know other areas so I can't offer suggestions.
  11. Holy bejebus!
  12. The day before all of the spots have been taken. We are doing this with the RENEW club and there is a 50 place limit. Basically, it's not like we are going to fill up in a week but I don't think we'll have trouble filling the day. How much time do you need? Also, I should mention that I want everyone who is keen to post up what their best time for the day will be to the nearest 100th of a second (eg 10.34). Whoever gets the closest wins a prize. (not telling what is yet cos I haven't decided.)
  13. Hasn't gone bang yet and I'm over 200 rwkw. I wouldn't even bother with the standard shift. I use tiptronic everywhere, street, track, strip. I also turn the Traction control off as soon as I start the car every time. Actually it's been broken for a week which is fine with me.
  14. I love Motul engine oils but a lot of people around here swear by Redline Shockproof. I have heard many people say something like 'I put Redline in and the crunch went away'. I have an auto though so you don't have to believe me.
  15. Zymotic - It already has a good cooler for the transmission standard. I actually find that possibly due to the cooler, it doesn't warm up fast enough. You'l find that if you use the steering wheel buttons for a couple of months you'll never look back and wonder why you said it was a bit of a wank.
  16. Skylines Australia NSW Club first official drag day is coming. Date : Sunday 31 July. It's closer than you think! Cost : $220 for non members ($110 now, $110 later.) Click here for the members thread. No experience necessary. Just come along and have a go. Ok then. It's time to get depositing. The Skylines Australia bank account details are as follows: Bank - NAB Branch - Marrickville Account name - Skylines Australia NSW BSB - 082 356 Account number - 546 393 766 First deposit is $110 although you can deposit $220 if you like. Please put your full name in the description. If you are depositing at a branch (how quaint ) then make sure you put your name on the deposit form (I know there is a spot for it on there somewhere) and ask the teller to enter it so he/she doesn't forget. When you have done all this email me at - sarpi at punkass dot com - with your internet banking receipt or date and branch of deposit. Please include in the email: Full name - User name on the forums - Mobile Number - Amount paid - Copy and paste the above to make it easier for me. Important - You will not be confirmed until a deposit has been made. Thank you. So who's keen? What do you all think? Any questions?
  17. Good to see some interest from you guys. We have some Victorians and Queenslanders interested too from what I hear so this is lookin bloody massive. Woot! I can see now that we should try to organise some accomodation for people. We'll get onto it. Last year I drove up from Wagga and it took me 5 hours if that's any indication.
  18. I thought the normal ones were on or off, at least that's what the consult seems to say about it.
  19. Rough guess, 6.5 seconds and 14.2. Unofficial attempt at realistic figures. Big $ difference between 11 and 12 seconds and a couple of different ways to get there. Turbo is almost the same as R33 (same fitting anyway) so anything that fit that will fit R34. 100's of options at all different costs. Tiptronic is easier in traffic, cheaper to upgrade (ie a shift kit costs less than an upgraded clutch 350-1000+) goes a little slower, can't use PowerFC for ECU upgrade. Rather than a search, perhaps a few weeks browsing will sort you out for information. I read the forums for 3 months before I bought my car.
  20. Last year I just looked up B&B's in the area and found a pearler. Not too expensive either.
  21. Here's one of mine.
  22. Yeah I noticed that. Just make a bracket out of a little peice of aluminium you can get from the hardware shop. I haven't put mine in yet because I am having fuel pressure issues and can' turn the boost up yet.
  23. Why did you delete that Roy? Anyway, R34's are probably quieter than R32's although the more you mod them the louder they get.
  24. The only solution to that is more mods. :D:D:D
