  1. I wouldn't think that would be safe. It's cross drilled parts that cause the problem.
  2. I must say teh GTR was looking like a winnah Richard.
  3. It probably needs a good ole fashioned service. A proper auto transmission place should do it for about $100. You may have to tell them that its a Jatco just like the R31 aussie skylines had. Get them to install the valve body while their at it and bobs your uncle. Shouldn't cost much at all. They will also be able to tell what kind of condition it is in internally as well.
  4. Good turn out, good night. How was coffee those that went? I would have liked to come but big party tonight, early up for tinting tomorrow, big party tomorrow then Fatz Day Out at Oran Park on Sunday. Good to see you Franky. I think you need another Skyline or we'll stop liking you. B-man can attest to our fickle nature.
  5. Stock ones it doesn't matter but slotted ones go on one side only.
  6. I think I paid about $1600 which was the cheapest I could find including Nengun and Greenline when you took into consideration the freight costs cos they come in big boxes. This was a Blitz LM kit.
  7. Is her name Snuffalufagus?
  8. A P-plate driver died in a car crash on the NSW Central Coast last night. Police said the 20-year-old man lost control of his turbo-charged Nissan sedan about 6pm (AEDT) while exiting a roundabout along Avoca Drive at Green Point. As the Nissan exited the roundabout it and a Holden Astra collided. Police said the man from Green Point died at the scene and the driver of the Holden was taken to Gosford Hospital with a fractured ankle. AAP
  9. Thanks sam.
  10. Cough**bullshit**cough.
  11. Also I use that ATF and that will make slipping harder to happen. Have you installed the shift kit yet? I take it not.
  12. The whole front bar is made of black plastic (most cars are these days) and that middle bit is just not painted is all. You could paint it if you wanted and I think I've seen a few that are but I don't know if that is factory paint or not. I could have had mine done recently when I had the respray but I just left it the way it was. There are plenty of other black bits on the car for it to go with no matter what the actual colour of the car is.
  13. Wheel balancing is usually the problem with this.
  14. The bottom ones are known as Nissan Aero or Nissan Sports. That's what I have. I've seen them referred to as a Nismo kit but I don't think that's right. I know that whenever that is said it seems to come with the big ugly wang that bolts into the rear quarters. YOU DON'T WANT THAT ONE! There is a slight variation I've seen a couple of times where that black bit in the middle down the bottom (where it says Skyline) is the same colour as the rest of the car and the vents on the side of the front bar are different but those vents look much worse I think.
  15. Umm, don't some after market bovs cause idling problems? Otherwise, Hornsby Nissan.
  16. That's off.
  17. You'd like to think so wouldn't you!?

  19. I'm sure they weren't there. Also Alistair did the last pad change and I can't imagine him throwing them out so I guess they dissapeared some time in Japan but until I put Ultimates on it didn't matter. By way of update, yesterday I went for a bit of a drive and the squealing was much improved. Not gone altogether but about 70% better.
  20. Oh, you were joking?
  21. I think I see the heat dissapation issue now. My new 17 inch rims also are wider at the back whereas before they were the same all round. I use these for the track. Last time at the track I felt that the rear tyres held up longer than before (both cheap street tyres) allowing better corner exit speeds. I've always controlled understeer with my right foot although do people think that I'd have higher corner entry speeds with 245's all round or is more likely that the wider rubber on the back gives you higher exit speeds making the entry speed seem slower when in actual fact the entry speed is the same as it was before I put the wider rubber on the back??? I can also concur with my fastest laps being earlier in the day. About laps 4 to 7. Even after lunch when I would have thought that the tyres would have cooled down I'm slower. Maybe I should eat lighter lunches.
  22. Maybe he meant rim size?
  23. That doesn't make sense to me Geoff. I just went from 225 40 18's to 265 35 18's same brand and kind of tyre just different sizes. I can definitely notice more rear end grip (front tyres stayed the same) and it seems to me the amount of rubber on the road would have to be greater.
