Hey tmptd the white looks better for some reason. I like the front bar. it's also newer. I wondering if there is a series 1.5 because it has the series 1 interior and series 2 engine cover. The change over from series 1 to 2 was in 2000 so who knows. it also looks like diamond white rather than pearl white. The pearl looks better to start with but I'm guessing the diamond will hold up better with age. I'm getting a bit of yellowing near my exhaust. People on here will bag you out for getting a tiptronic but they go pretty good if you ask me and are soooo much easier to drive in traffic. (can you tell I live in sydney?)

Ok I stuffed something up there before. Excluding 1st to 2nd, biggest drop in rpm is 2271. My other comments stand, particularly the one about happiness and stuff.

Diff different but gear ratios are relative. R33 top speed in 1st gear and R34 are 2 km different.

Early calculations show the biggest drop (ignoring 1st to 2nd cos it's the track) to be 1987 rpm so you could get some pretty laggy turbos there and keep it above 6000rpm all day. Factor in some awkward corners where it's not worth changing back a gear and with that gearbox you still only need 2500-3000 rpm at the top to play with. I never realised that's where the extra gear was on the 34. Gotta be happy with that.

Are you shifting at 8000rpm? What size tyres are you using? Just pluggin details into a calulator.

I think for a first offence they usually just defect you with no fine and you have to get it fixed then so I would just wait till that day if I were you and not boot it when you see a cop.

Benm - Auto = no PFC. Why would you high flow your turbo and run 7 psi through it? I have just put my stock turbo up to 12 psi and I can beat anything local and unmodified. If you get a boost controller and your SAFC tuned again you don't even need to upgrade the turbo to get what you want out of it.

Isn't there 2 kinds of GT-RS's though?

They are definitely better but some people would say that the cost/benefit analysis doesn't add up. I've got one. I think thermal wrap would reduce noise for sure.

It's definitely noisier. Just look at the different thickness of the metal of the two. It's not shit loads noisier though and I don't mean it's noisier out the back I mean it's noisier in the engine bay and subsequently in the car. Fact is though, you want power, you gotta make noise.

So it might holds gears shorter rather than longer as some people are worried about.
