  1. Not to say that you are exaggerating or anything but Skylines are a bit different. Firstly they would have done shitloads more of them and so the practice would make them better and second there is more room to move in a Skyline than a 4wd pocket rocket like yours. My mounting bracket was slightly out but no big deal. All working fine now and shocked the operator of the dyno I was last on by my lack of mods to power ratio.
  2. I've seen it once and I look for it. but yes that is much worse.
  3. Sounds good to me.
  4. I don't know if you care or not but people are going to bag you out if you try to make your car look like a GTR when it isn't one. You'll have a better looking car if you just make it a tuff GTT.
  5. You would need a fuel cut defender too. That's what they're called isn't it?
  6. Nismo S-Tune. I'd be happy to go Whiteline but since my car is a 4 door I'm stuffed and they don't want to know me except to sell me a partial solution. Don't suppose you could pull come strings for me SK  ?
  7. Oh that's right. I forgot about that. It's East Bear. I've seen it.
  8. But he was saying that he didn't want to change the bonnet. Funky you're losing your grip.
  9. I don't know if RX8's are euro styled but they is ugly as sin.
  10. GTR bonnet is shorter. http://www.andrewho.com/recent/040328sau/i...le=DSC_1201.jpg
  11. If it's made to fit your car then you can. Check out the group buy for CES split dumps
  12. Geez that's pretty good. I think I could get there with some better tuning but not at 9 psi. What other mods do you have?
  13. Hmm, The phenomenon I'm describing I have also experienced in your car Duncan (now that I think about it). Lately I have noticed a squeaking coming from my front end when the car is stone cold only going over biggish bumps. This goes away when warm and although I was thinking creaking springs, springs don't warm up, but shocks do. I have done 82000 k's and the rear left shock shows signs of having leaked at some stage (all original shocks) but doesn't anymore. Also I have hit the bump stops on the front with mega hard braking before the last turn at Wakefield several times. Perhaps my shocks are stuffed? Sigh. Time for $2300 coilovers. Thanks for the help guys.
  14. I did a thread somewhere with all the legalities of the no cat thing. Search for "Morons and cat".
  15. Still got Hicas. So do I ditch it or can I get a 4 wheel alignment? How much of each would you recommend? BTW Thanks.
  16. 4 door = watch yourself Franks
  17. benm - it did only happen at the track but now on the street too. Adrian - I do actually do that on the track. Got it nearly down at Wakefield but EC corners still a bit too big for my balls. So there's no adjustment for front/rear bias that can be made?
  18. When I'm on the track and brake really hard with a completely empty boot I find the back end of my car wiggles around a bit which can turn into a rear end slide out if I turn my front wheels too much more than straight. It doesn't seem to to do it with full kit on though, perhaps the extra weight in the boot is stabilising or something. Anyway, I've just had my front rotors replaced with slotted DBA4000's and the standard rears skimmed. Now on heavy braking I am getting the same wiggling but more pronounced. It's s little scary because I feel now I can't use the full force of the brakes in case I go sideways. Oh and also I had the brakes bled at the same time. Any ideas peeps?
  19. I think you could move the trannie fluid cooler to the drivers side inner guard, like the opposite of the standard intercooler then you would have no issues with any fmic that is made for a GTT. Also you may be able to modify the mounting bracket to move the fluid cooler closer to the radiator. Emanage should be the way to go although I am still experimenting with a modified standard ECU. I currently have 189 rwkw with stock cooler, stock turbo, panel filter, 0.8 bar boost and a good exhaust. I have heard of a few people getting no extra power from a fmic with R34's unlike R33's and R32's which seem to pick up a bit automatically.
  20. Gap them to 0.8 but be extra gentle and careful.
  21. Stock Nissan Sports. I have them.
  22. It's normal.
  23. Just from the ECU change yes. Different dyno. He builds race engines ("not usually into that jap stuff") and is very confident of it's accuracy due to using an engine dyno then comparing once engine is in the car. Says nothing towards the UAS dyno which is where it was done last time. The result quite surprised him he said. Just look up Procar in Dee Why in the Whitepages. It's not one of those ultra clean looking performance kind of places but he showed me around a bit and he seems to have what he needs. He has an 8 second Gazelle which he is hoping to get into 7's soon. I booked it for 11 but turned up late and had to wait an hour (go away come back). My fault.
  24. What fluid do you use in your box? I am finding some more flaring as the power increases.
